Loners paradise

Privacy Is pristine most of the year, summers are ok but traffic increases, be mindful of your surrounding becuase this place is frequently visited by dirt bikers and keep a log of directions, I got lost hear last year I nearly died of dehydration and starvation, it was an experience I’ll never forget, I was found by some dirt biking folks who saw my car and came to investigate. Being lost I got to see a lot of the hidden gems. Definitely coming back. I’m not telling lol

Siteall over the place,

Wonderful little campground

While OHVs are limited to maintained gravel roads, this campground is much less populated than those you find along the Wilson River Highway. The sites are all just off a circular staging area, but offer a bit of privacy and some have access to the creek.

Beautiful..but too many people.

Tillamook national forest is one of my favorite places in the world. Only one problem...there are just too many people. You really have to go deep to get away. Try an old logging road. Just be careful its easy to get lost and cell phones don't work.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Jordan Creek Campground located in Oregon?

Jordan Creek Campground is located in Tillamook State Forest in northwestern Oregon. It's situated in a more remote area of the forest, away from the busier Wilson River Highway corridor. The campground is nestled among the forested landscape with creek access. You'll need to navigate forest roads to reach it, and it's advisable to bring detailed directions as cell service is non-existent in many parts of the forest. Its secluded location makes it an excellent base for those looking to explore the deeper parts of Tillamook State Forest.

What OHV riding opportunities are available at Jordan Creek Campground?

Jordan Creek features a circular staging area specifically designed for OHV enthusiasts, making it a convenient starting point for trail rides. OHVs are limited to maintained gravel roads throughout the area. The campground serves as both an OHV camping destination and staging area, allowing riders to access the surrounding trail system directly from camp. While popular with dirt bikers, visitors should be mindful of increased OHV traffic, especially during summer months. Be sure to bring a map and track your route, as the extensive network of trails and roads can be disorienting.

Are there swimming spots in Jordan Creek for campers?

Yes, Jordan Creek offers water access for campers. Some campsites are positioned with direct access to the creek, providing convenient spots for wading or cooling off. The creek runs through the area, offering natural swimming holes during warmer months. Water levels and conditions may vary seasonally, so exercise caution when entering the water, especially after heavy rainfall. Always supervise children around the creek.

What camping options are available in Tillamook State Forest near Jordan Creek?

Tillamook State Forest offers several camping options near Jordan Creek. The Jordan Creek OHV Campground itself provides sites arranged around a circular staging area with some privacy between spots. For those seeking alternatives, campgrounds along Wilson River Highway tend to be more populated. Venturing deeper into the forest on logging roads can provide more secluded dispersed camping opportunities, though navigation can be challenging without cell service. The forest becomes significantly busier during summer months, so consider visiting in spring or fall for a quieter experience. Always practice Leave No Trace principles, especially in remote areas.
