Best RV Parks & Resorts near Halfway, OR

RV parks around Halfway serve different needs with varying amenities and accessibility. Halfway Motel and RV Park operates year-round in the center of town, while Eagle Valley RV Park in nearby Richland offers full hookups including 50-amp service and pull-through sites. "Clean, quiet, and very inexpensive. Nice owners. They have pull through spots, showers, restrooms, laundry, and fish cleaning areas," according to one visitor. A-Frame RV Park in Baker City accommodates larger vehicles with big-rig friendly sites and concrete pads featuring both water and electric hookups, plus sewer connections for extended stays.

Seasonal considerations affect availability throughout the region, with some facilities closing during winter months. Mountain roads leading to certain parks present navigation challenges for larger motorhomes, particularly near Joseph where narrow passages demand careful maneuvering. One camper noted, "The road out of Joseph to get there...it's not for the faint of heart if you have a larger RV. Narrow, potholes and absolutely no wiggle room." Most RV parks maintain dump stations, though capacity issues occasionally arise during peak season. Cell service remains reliable near established parks but can become spotty in more remote locations. Pet policies vary by location, with many parks permitting animals but imposing breed or size restrictions.

Nice little park, few miles off the hwy so no hwy noise. Cut store/ office, friendly staff. Sites are small, just long enough for Rv and tow, gravel and level enough for one night. Great water pressure. Cable tv and strong WiFi.

    A-Frame RV Park

    Awesome RV Park!

Big trees, lots of shade, full hook ups. Pic-Nic tables at each spot. Very friendly staff. Easy check in. Good price. Some road noise but not loud enough to be problematic. We have a 36ft travel trailer with slides on both sides. Was able to fit into the pull through no problem with truck parked in front (stayed hooked up so we can leave the following day)

    Grande Hot Springs RV Resort

Great relaxing campground with wonderful views

We've been here several times and will continue to visit. About a hundred pull through spots, full hookup. Relaxing informal campground with gravel roads and grass strips between sites. Level w easy entry/exit. Hot spring on site in wildlife preserve across the road. Many trains pass by about a quarter mile away and we didn't mind the relatively low noise trains. Interesting college town la grande nearby. Grand ronde River and Morgan lake are interesting

    Grande Hot Springs RV Resort

    Lovely campground and location!

We stayed at Grande Hot Springs RV Resort in June and September 2021. We really enjoyed our stay at this park. We stayed in site 2 which was a large pull-thru site for our fifth wheel. Sites are long, flat, and level with 50 amp, water and sewer hookups. We enjoyed the great walking paths around the perimeter of the park to walk our dogs. The pool and hot tub are heated geothermally and are warm, soothing, and oh, so relaxing. We can’t say enough about the professional staff, who were warm, friendly, and helpful. We even had some packages delivered here, which was a big bonus for us. We a lot of other friendly campers here. The WiFi is top-notch. This is our favorite Oregon campground and we highly recommend a stay here. For videos on the campground, visit YouTube: Jeff & Steff’s Excellent Adventure.

    Park At The River

Beautiful spot but not really camping

Park at the River is in a beautiful location but it’s a full blown RV park, not a campground. The big rigs are really packed in. The dry camping spots by the river are great until the neighbors run a generator all day long. There are all kinds of amenities within walking distance: stores, restaurants, mini golf, etc.

    Mtn View RV Park

    Good Short Stay Campground Choice

This review is based on an overnight or short stay versus destination campground (CG). Our GPS took us right into this CG. Check-in was easy and we headed to pull through site 118 with FHUs. The pad was plenty long enough for our 40’ 5th wheel and our F450. The utilities were in the middle of the pad, which made it nice for our one-night stay. As the water pressure here is around 100 psi, you need to use a reducer. Sites are close to one another but you still have a grass yard with some separation. We stayed here back in 2019 and not much had changed. They added a small fenced dog area inside the CG. They still have the field behind the park where you go out a gate into a small industrial area. There’s a poop bag dispenser and trashcan. Happily, people were picking up after their dogs. There were a mix of overnighters to long-stay residents and the CG did not have trashy sites. We could not get the CG Wifi to connect, but we did have 2 bars on Verizon. The CG has cable but we did not use it as we were able to stream on our Verizon MiFi. There are a lot of mature trees so satellite could be iffy depending on your site. They have a nice little store with sundry and gift items. Across the street from the office/store is a nice laundry facility. We again enjoyed our time here.

    Grande Hot Springs RV Resort

    Grand Hot Springs

Nice place, typical RV Resort, everyone side by side with very little shade. Autumn took my reservation and I specifically asked for a good place for wifi for a meeting. Autumn accommodated and put me in #51, close the office. Staff were friendly. Front office and laundry area very clean. Prices for items in the little store were reasonable. 50 amp electric if needed. Good wifi and cell service (Sprint), if sprint was good, everyone else probably is too. Did not go in the pool. They have an adults only time starting at 9P-11P which is nice. $55/night
