The Baker City Motel has turned its back parking lot into an RV park that appears to be largely composed of long-term residents. It is charmless with trailers and campers wedged closely together on what was a muddy surface on the night I stayed there. That said, the park delivers on its promises with good electrical connections and robust wifi. The bathroom which includes a shower was clean and spacious. Though segregated by gender, on the morning I waited outside the ladies' room for the occupant to vacate, it was a man who exited leaving the smell of cigarette smoke behind. If you're tired and looking for a place to park and sleep, maybe catch up on some emails, this is a suitable choice, close to the city center. But you won't want to stick around for the atmosphere. Oh, and at $35 a night, I found it a bit pricey.
Great stop over RV Park in the mountains between Idaho and Oregon in Baker City oregon. Full hookups pull throughs a small shop and a great little town. Well managed and clean. Large dog run. Great views.
This Spot is a free site on the Snake River next to a full hookup RV Park. This site is convenient and accessible for an overnight stay. Besides having no cell service, this was a pleasant experience.
There are a few tables set up and one bathroom on site.
The neighboring RV park is friendly as well.
I Stayed overnight in April of 2024 and had no problems
Nice, clean RV park with full hookups and dry camping. Dry camping is next to the river, very pretty. Near hiking trail and tram ride to the top of mt Howard is across the street
We stayed at Grande Hot Springs RV Resort in June and September 2021. We really enjoyed our stay at this park. We stayed in site 2 which was a large pull-thru site for our fifth wheel. Sites are long, flat, and level with 50 amp, water and sewer hookups. We enjoyed the great walking paths around the perimeter of the park to walk our dogs. The pool and hot tub are heated geothermally and are warm, soothing, and oh, so relaxing. We can’t say enough about the professional staff, who were warm, friendly, and helpful. We even had some packages delivered here, which was a big bonus for us. We a lot of other friendly campers here. The WiFi is top-notch. This is our favorite Oregon campground and we highly recommend a stay here. For videos on the campground, visit YouTube: Jeff & Steff’s Excellent Adventure.
Nice place, typical RV Resort, everyone side by side with very little shade. Autumn took my reservation and I specifically asked for a good place for wifi for a meeting. Autumn accommodated and put me in #51, close the office. Staff were friendly. Front office and laundry area very clean. Prices for items in the little store were reasonable. 50 amp electric if needed. Good wifi and cell service (Sprint), if sprint was good, everyone else probably is too. Did not go in the pool. They have an adults only time starting at 9P-11P which is nice. $55/night
Ok campground with bathrooms. But beware it is not for 30' or bigger trailers. Rv spots are on the small side and you will not be able to get a large trailer turned around. The turnaround loop road at the end is too tight. I had the unpleasant experience of having to back my 37' trailer all the way out to te main highway. Fifth wheels may be able to make the loop but the rv spaces are rather small. No way you could leave a vehicle hooked up and not block the road.
Big trees, lots of shade, full hook ups. Pic-Nic tables at each spot. Very friendly staff. Easy check in. Good price. Some road noise but not loud enough to be problematic. We have a 36ft travel trailer with slides on both sides. Was able to fit into the pull through no problem with truck parked in front (stayed hooked up so we can leave the following day)
amazing place ! amazing staff! very clean ! super dog friendly ! have full hook ups! comfy cosy parking ! we stayed longer than planned :) so it says a lot about the place . we will be back!
This RV park is on the south side of Wallowa Lake nestled on the river that feeds the lake. They have 49 full hookup sites and they definitely pack them in there. We opted for a river site which is dry camping but much quieter and a bit more dispersed.
The area is a great little getaway with a myriad of activities to do. Besides the lake there is a (pretty expensive) tram that takes you up the mountain, go carts, miniature golf, discovery centers, museums, etc.
The park was clean and well maintained. Although it was great to have the river right out your front window we constantly had others encroaching on our site trying to get at the river. A simple sign to direct others to river access would have been appreciated.
Overall we really enjoyed the park and area.
We reserved a spot here to prepare for a rafting trip we had won from the McCall WinterFest. We are so glad we did!!! This place ROCKS! We have a 27' Travel Trailer RV and we reserved a full hook-up site. The staff was friendly and we were escorted the staff to the site we reserved. The location is nice and quiet, awa from traffic. They have a nice lodge with an indoor heated swimming pool. Each site had a picnic table but no fire pit where we stayed. We had a portable grill to cook our meals. The property is very clean and the staff is ver friendly. Can't ask for anything more!
this campground was always my favorite growing up and it still is today! they have very spacious camp sites, lots of variety (ie tent sites and full hook up sites) that would fit anyone’s needs! There are very helpful hosts onsite campfire you can buy and a jr ranger program my kids love! They also have a playground for the kids in the heart of the park! Wallowa is well worth the trip!
Living in Idaho near the border of Idaho, I was looking for a great catfishing spot on the Snake River. I found this campground along the Snake just on the other side of the border - eastern Oregon. The campgrounds are AWESOME!!! The have all the amenities for RV camping. They do have tent camping sites as well. There is some great history of the area and we were appreciative of how the State Park system displayed it. Great fishing for the shore angler as well as boat anglers. I fished from my kayak and caught crappie and catfish as well as some smallmouth bass. I would definitely camp here again. They do have a dump station for RVs as well as restrooms. Each site has a fire pit and picnic table.
This is a site with a blend of tent, drive in, and full hook up sites. Easy access to trailheads and the host is cool with plenty of great suggestions for exploring off the usual places. There are two main sections of about 30 sites each with reserved and walk up sites. The camp is super busy on weekends but great mid week. The hike to the confluence is good and goes deep into some canopy growth sections that are perfect. The trail ran along the river with ample opportunity to actually rest and soak your feet or do some earthing. The team is super cool an evening and morning yet wam days bordering on hot. A magical little spot, $23 bucks for a camper van spot. A bargain at three times the price.
We did not have a reservation for an overnight stop. We lucked out. They had a spot for our 30ft TT. The site was level enough we didn't even have to unhook. Great hosts. My electric cord was too short to go plug in. He loaned me two adapters and a 50amp cord to make it reach. No charge. The bathhouse is in an A frame building so when you look in the mirror to shave you see your feet. Other than that a great stop. They don't do Good Sam discounts.
Set up as old mining town, the outside of the bldgs has nice antiques and starts you off feeling good about where you're staying. You have to drive through trailer park to get to office, but RV park in the back is nicely spread out. Office wasn't manned when we came in, but forms and codes were readily available. Bathrooms were very clean with great showers! Would stay again if in the area.
Great RV park! Park has a food truck on the property which was a nice treat. Clean showers and laundry service. Also have decent phone service for the area. Park is clean and hosts are excellent.
Nice little place to pull off for the night. It's just a gravel parking lot right next to an RV park. Beautiful view of the snake river and rolling hills. The bathroom was clean. The amount of bugs at sunset was BIBLICAL!
This motel/rv site is a great jumping off point for rafting, hunting and fishing! It has a pool which is great because it gets really hot in the summer. The RV parking is in back of the motel so its not very scenic right there, but the surrounding area makes up for it.
This boat launch has no amenities, but it is right next door to an established RV park (Catfish Junction) so you can get Propane and other things if you need them. And, it is right on the southwest bank of the Snake River! A great spot for an overnight stay!
This was our first stop in Oregon we were in Site C9 which is a pull thru with Full hook up. Big tall pines, the lake & mountains. We had a good site other than some neighbors with 10 kids kept walking through our site to get to theirs instead of walking around the circle. We finally said something after the 3rd day.
I love they have a grey water dump every 3 or 4 sites we have a fish cleaning table we set up it has a hook up for a hose to have direct water to it. We do dishes and prep food on it and we use a bucket under the sink in it to catch the water so walking over 2 sites to dump it is nice.
We launched the kayak & went out in the lake what a nice view of Mt. Howard. My husband caught some nice size Kokanee & trout. There are some floating docks you can climb out on & have lunch the park has 5 I believe.
We took the cable cars up to Mt. Howard & hiked it was beautiful. Still had a good amount of snow on the ground up there. We had a drink & lunch at the Summit Grill.
The small town of Joseph is close by, small grocery store had to go a little further to get to a safeway.
The first few nights were so quiet, a nice bonfire & a glass of wine.
Some of the sites are small in the loop we were in there were some bigger ones.
Park at the River is in a beautiful location but it’s a full blown RV park, not a campground. The big rigs are really packed in. The dry camping spots by the river are great until the neighbors run a generator all day long. There are all kinds of amenities within walking distance: stores, restaurants, mini golf, etc.
We checked in later in the evening and the self registration was a snap. The spaces are large and well lit. For a first-timer at an RV park, we had no trouble finding the spot and getting connected. Clean facilities. Our site at the end of the row has a lovely view to the west.
This is a nice little RV park that is close to most things in the Joseph area. There are several RV sites as well as tent sites. There are also several sites that look like full time RVer's that live in the park. The sites were a little close together, but they were able to move us after the first night so we had a little more privacy. The bathrooms and showers were clean. The campground was very quiet with great views of the mountains. There is a little store onsite that also has games and books to barrow.
We enjoyed our off season stay!
Easy back in to our fairly level site.
Unfortunately they had water hookups shut off for winter (after we made our reservation, but before we arrived). So we had to venture back out to the design acted water fill campsite our first morning.
Sites were nice, but very much on top of each other, IMHO. I prefer more privacy for longer stays. Wouldn't want to be there in peak season.
They ask that you don't offload a full black/grey tank at your site, as the septic system can't handle it... in my experience, the dump site may not be able to handle it either. We were after another camper, and it began to overflow as we finished emptying our grey... neither having been completely full.
The picnic table and firepit were at the end of the site, not next to the RV pad/door, as I would've preferred.
A nice nature trail to the lake.
It's amazing how little things can create a good impression. The front desk lady was so friendly and helpful. The park was clean and well maintained. They had a cute little pet area with a fire hydrant in there. We specifically sought this place out because of the hot tub. It's so nice to soak after a long drive day. Most sites are pull through. Spots are small but they have a nice grass area. Seems that most people stay one night as they are passing through. Bathrooms were nice and very clean. Cute little store in the office. They also had a nice pool (which is currently closed). They offered a 10% Good Sam's discount. We would stay here again.
We were excited about this place because it had great pictures, an amazing view, and some great amenities. When we arrived, we drove into a trailer park... Like the 70s style... There are RV spots among them, and then a while RV area in the rear. The grounds were wet and mushy with snow, and the sites are gravel, so we continued down the road.
