Riverfront sites: Elkton RV Park offers premium spots directly along the Umpqua with full hookups. "Nice place on the river that's within walking distance to Elkton. Park has friendly hosts. Many sites back up to the river and all site have power, water, and sewer hook ups," explains Dean in his review of the centrally located Elkton RV Park.
Quiet environment: BLM Tyee provides secluded camping with natural sound barriers between sites. "I stayed overnight on a motorcycle trip during the week and the campground was very quiet. Great location on the Umpqua River. Each site has quite a bit of privacy," notes Nick J., highlighting the peaceful setting even for short stays.

Reservation requirements: Tyee Campground requires advance booking or on-site payment using their land line. "BLM land that has out house and water. Beautiful views from level camps parking. Need to book on line or be on the land line paying an extra $9 for booking fee," explains Robert N. about the reservation process.

Most have very little front yard space and practically no backyard. The last 9 miles to the resort was really trying - the roads were narrow, twisty and winding.
