    Grande Hot Springs RV Resort

Great relaxing campground with wonderful views

We've been here several times and will continue to visit. About a hundred pull through spots, full hookup. Relaxing informal campground with gravel roads and grass strips between sites. Level w easy entry/exit. Hot spring on site in wildlife preserve across the road. Many trains pass by about a quarter mile away and we didn't mind the relatively low noise trains. Interesting college town la grande nearby. Grand ronde River and Morgan lake are interesting

Good stop for a long drive - very friendly and helpful staff

We stayed here for one night on July 26, 2018.

The park is tight with very narrow spaces but well maintained. We were only stopping for one night on the way home and having a level, nice pull-through site, with hookups was nice. We never even unhooked the trailer but was spot on level. The park is pretty packed with many long-term residents visible through more permanent porches, 100 gallon propane hook up, and lots of potted plants.  Since we were traveling and the park was so clean, it didn't bother me at all but others have made note of that.

There is both dumpsters onsite but also site pickup of garbage by the park. That’s a nice unexpected service. The pool and laundry closes at 8pm but the showers are open 24 hours. The greeter was very nice and helpful, couldn't ask for any more.

    RV Resort Four Seasons

    Lots of hookups

This site was right next to Fort Walla Walla, with a park and dog park. Not much else here but weird animal statues and long-term RVers. Lots of hookups for RV and trailers. No tent or car camping. The bathrooms were still closed June 2021, need to use your own hookups.

    Grande Hot Springs RV Resort

    Lovely campground and location!

We stayed at Grande Hot Springs RV Resort in June and September 2021. We really enjoyed our stay at this park. We stayed in site 2 which was a large pull-thru site for our fifth wheel. Sites are long, flat, and level with 50 amp, water and sewer hookups. We enjoyed the great walking paths around the perimeter of the park to walk our dogs. The pool and hot tub are heated geothermally and are warm, soothing, and oh, so relaxing. We can’t say enough about the professional staff, who were warm, friendly, and helpful. We even had some packages delivered here, which was a big bonus for us. We a lot of other friendly campers here. The WiFi is top-notch. This is our favorite Oregon campground and we highly recommend a stay here. For videos on the campground, visit YouTube: Jeff & Steff’s Excellent Adventure.

    Grande Hot Springs RV Resort

    Grand Hot Springs

Nice place, typical RV Resort, everyone side by side with very little shade. Autumn took my reservation and I specifically asked for a good place for wifi for a meeting. Autumn accommodated and put me in #51, close the office. Staff were friendly. Front office and laundry area very clean. Prices for items in the little store were reasonable. 50 amp electric if needed. Good wifi and cell service (Sprint), if sprint was good, everyone else probably is too. Did not go in the pool. They have an adults only time starting at 9P-11P which is nice. $55/night

    Grande Hot Springs RV Resort

    Beautiful Valley Views

Very quiet wide open campground surrounded by snowy peaks. Full hookups at all sites, mostly 30 amp service but many sites have 50 amp also. Great value for the money in a beautiful setting.

    Columbia Sun RV Resort

Great place even though in town

Although you can hear the traffic going by still a nice park. This is the trade off with being close to town but being close to civilization allowed us to go get items we needed and not have to rely on the usually overpriced camp stores. Enjoyed the pool and event centers. ALOT of full timers which doesn't bother me - not sure if we bothered them. No firepits but we knew that before going - brought a propane fire pit with us. Wifi was being upgraded but cell service with Verizon wasn't an issue. Will go back.

Guide to Adams

RV parks near Adams, Oregon range from full-service resorts to basic facilities. The area sits at approximately 1,700 feet elevation in northeastern Oregon where summer temperatures often reach the 90s while winter brings frequent freezing conditions. Seasonal winds affect camping conditions, particularly in exposed RV sites where awnings may need to be retracted during gusts.

What to do

Hot springs soaking: 10 miles from La Grande at Grande Hot Springs RV Resort visitors can access mineral pools with evening hours. "The soaking pools were amazing. They even had a twilight soak. Very peaceful and relaxing campground. Nature trail along the creek was cool. Saw huge bull frogs, tadpoles, and fish. Also saw mule deer."

Golf access: Adjacent to veterans course at Blue Valley RV Park in Walla Walla. The park's concrete pads provide level sites near golfing opportunities. "Your typical rv Park set up, convenient location between freeway and town. Veterans golf course right next door."

Casino entertainment: Family activities beyond gambling at Wildhorse Resort Casino RV Park include multiple recreational options. "While we don't gamble, we enjoy staying at this resort. The sites are reasonably spaced. The park is rarely full. Over the years, the casino has added many family activities, including an arcade, a cinema, a food court, and recently a bowling alley with multiple lanes."

What campers like

Heated water connections: Winter camping feature at Grande Hot Springs RV Resort helps prevent freezing during cold months. "Pretty mountain valley campground with many full hookup pull through sites. The only issue I had was that the sewer cap at my site was so tight that I couldn't remove it by hand, but that didn't seem to be the case at any of the other sites."

Well-maintained walking paths: Dog-friendly perimeter trails at several parks. "Very clean park with level, paved, large sites. Full hookups. Clean bathrooms, showers, laundry, and gathering space. Near an industrial area, but safe and close to downtown."

Wine tasting proximity: 5-10 minute drive from Blue Valley RV Park to downtown Walla Walla tasting rooms. "Small rv park makes visiting Walla Walla wine country east and affordable. Clean and well kept. Sites are typical park size but are well designed paved and level. Nice landscaping. Park full but quiet. Walking distance to downtown wineries and restaurants."

What you should know

Noise considerations: Highway and industrial activity affects some parks more than others. "We stayed here overnight on our way to the Grand Canyon. It was fine for a 'pull-in, hook up, go to bed' place, but I wouldn't want to stay here for any length of time. The sites are within a few feet of each other with no privacy."

Reservation requirements: Summer capacity limitations mean advance planning is essential, particularly for holiday weekends. "I called from 40 miles out on a Friday night on the 22nd of August. High summer season. They were nearly full. They held a spot."

Connectivity varies: Cell service and Wi-Fi quality fluctuates between parks. At Umatilla Marina & RV Park, "Free WiFi. There was a key code for the bathrooms. The only annoyance I had was poor internet service: I needed to download more kid shows for the next stretch of our drive and the signal kept dropping."

Tips for camping with families

Swimming options: Columbia River access at Umatilla Marina & RV Park provides water recreation. "It's nice down by the water you can swim or fish. It also has a nice view of the sunset."

Educational opportunities: Wildlife refuges nearby offer nature exploration adjacent to some parks. "The resort lies next to a wildlife refuge. There are many birds."

Entertainment facilities: Resort amenities at Columbia Sun RV Resort include family-friendly features. "We made reservations and have loved the staff! They are great and helpful. The whole park is beautiful and has a wonderful summer wind. Enjoyed the pool and event centers."

Tips from RVers

Site specifications: Large rig accommodation varies by park. "Our Trailer is 35ft and they have such tight corners I Barely made it to my site. The sites are annoyingly un-level. Make sure you have pads and a septic ramp."

Utilities placement: Connection location challenges may require extra equipment. "The utilities are towards the back of the pad, so I had to use two sewer hoses to get from the main black tank on our Brinklely G model."

Weather preparedness: Summer heat considerations affect comfort at exposed sites. "Come ready to sweat—triple digit weather when we came through! The sites on this side of the CG are nicely landscaped with a decent amount of room."
