    Black Mesa State Park Campground

    Nice digs

I came to this area to summit the high point of Oklahoma. This is a very well kept place with clean bathrooms and showers. There is a mix of tent and RV sites.

Cimarron Campground - Cimarron National Grassland

    Nice Quiet Campground

Stayed one night during a road trip from Salida, CO to Annapolis, MD. We traveled with two kids in a sprinter van. The campground was clean, bathrooms were clean, and very quiet. Spots filled up a bit towards the end of the evening with about half occupied for overnight stays.

We were there for opening day of dove season, so the campground did have a few hunting parties and you could hear shotgun shots in the distance, which didn't bother us. None were loud.

Flies were a bit bad in the early afternoon but settled down at night.

    Felt Picnic Area

    Felt Picnic Area

Great spot for a one night stay. Ground is flat making it easy for tent campers. Does have a bathroom area. Did hear farm equipment throughout the night but it wasn’t drowning the nightlife noise. Got the experience of deer bedding next to my site.

Cimarron Campground - Cimarron National Grassland

    Hidden gem

This place was wonderful. Clean, quiet, remote, beautiful. It does not seem to be rigorously overseen (there were no envelopes in which to put my $7 overnight fee), yet it is in fine shape: water pumps, toilets, trash cans all working and clean. More to the point: it's in the gorgeous grasslands. I just stayed for a night, on my route from Santa Fe to Chicago. I was the only one there. As there was no rain in the forecast, I slept out under the magnificent stars, staring at the milky way late into the night. Highly recommended.

Simple, Safe, and Serene: A good Texas Rest Stop for the Night

This rest stop was exactly what we needed: simple, safe, and quiet for an overnight stay. The restroom was clean and well-maintained. There's picnic tables for a quick bite. If you're looking for a straightforward, clean, and safe spot to break up your Texas journey, this spot works.

Wild Bills RV & Trailer Park

Sweet and simple, great overnight stay!

This RV park was really sweet. It’s small but has everything that you need and a simple payment of envelopes by a drop off box great rates for full hook up electricity and water and if you show in the right time, you can watch the town baseball game across the street. And great sunset too!

No one here, save for the ragweed.
