"Near an Ape Adventure park, hike around lake, and any shopping or restaurants you might want are close by. It rained heavy so we didn’t get out much but walk around camp loop is nice and flat."

LegendWe spent the Memorial Day weekend at Philadelphia/ West Chester KOA Holiday in Coatesville, PA and had a good time.
We paid$135/night for Back-in Patio Site#25. A bit pricey considering the lack of elbow room, but it’s a great site and everything is well-kept. There was just barely enough room for the motorhome and Jeep Wrangler.
I did have major trouble backing in because the road is too narrow for a 45’ motorhome to back in on a nearly 90-degree angle. So difficult, that I cracked the bottom of my front cap catching the grass and gravel beside the grave road. I think this would’ve otherwise been a 5-star review.Don’t stay in this site in a big motorhome. The trailers/5th wheels seem better because they ‘bend’ at the hitch.
THINGS I LIKED:
Great site(once you’re in it!) including patio furniture on a paver patio and seating around an upgraded fire pit. The landscaping made up for the tight squeeze.
Clean and level gravel site with well-maintained utility hook-ups.
Close to Longwood Gardens; Wilmington, Delaware; and a handful of local museums and gardens. Not too far from Philadelphia.
Super friendly staff. Every interaction with employees was extremely nice. Other campgrounds and even hotels can learn a lot from these folks.
The whole park is quiet and well-maintained.
THINGS I DIDN’T LIKE SO MUCH:
Heads up, big rig owners! Tight squeeze into Site 25.
Get cozy, the sites are quite small and tightly packed together.
WOULD WE COME BACK?
ScoutFirst time staying overnight at a campground in Delaware. The cabins are tiny on the inside but that porch really provides very useful space.
No paper towels, soap or kitchen utensils. Everything is clean. Sandy soil and plenty of flying bugs. What is just a short walk from campground.

GuideDuring the off season is in and during the week, it’s very peaceful and awesome place to be. During the weekend it’s very populated and tends to be pretty noisy. Potable water is available along with a couple Porta potties. Creek access, if you wanted to go kayaking.
TravelerWe enjoyed the campsite. The weather was wonderful. Cherry trees in bloom. Restrooms clean.
GuideThis is a VERY busy campground. Rigs in and out daily and nearly always full. None of the sites are level. Sites are mostly small and close together. The closer you are to the camp store, the louder and busier it is. Lots of kids. If you want quiet stay to the ends of the rows. E and F are quieter too. Park has a nature center, beaches, bike trails, history if you are interested. Bath houses were fine. Near lots of shopping and restaurants.

ScoutSite is good with good showers and laundry. Staff seemed very abrupt which surprised me as the other 3 KOA sites we stayed at the staff were really friendly and helpful
ScoutSite are very unleveled so the staff switched us to a pull thru space that was a tad bit more level but still very unleveled. The campground gave more of a Mobil home park feel and the park itself was a bit dated. But it was very quiet and the people were friendly.
