Nice amenities (mini golf, horse shoes, pool, dog park), close enough to town. Grass at our site.
This is one if the prettiest and cleanest campground we have ever stayed at. The sites are gravel, mostly level and most sites have shad. The pull through sites on the outer edge do not but others inside do. The laundry and bathhouse was very nice and clean. $2.00 per load to wash. There is flowers everywhere and they have a sprinkler system to keep everything pretty so you can’t leave anything out overnight that you don’t want to get wet. They mow each Thursday and are constantly doing upkeep on the grounds. FHU was a plus and made our stay enjoyable. There is a small dog park but it’s mostly in the sun so we chose to enjoy walks. The only downside (if I had to find one) was the train close by that was very squeaky as it went by. But I never heard it during the night.
This is a very well cared for campground. Beautiful flowers, trees, landscaping throughout the park. Very clean and loved. Store has a bit of everything you need. Fenced in dog park. Clean bathrooms and laundry facilities. Very enjoyable stay!
This hike into the lakes is not for the faint of heart, but the most breath taking views of Montana at its finest. There are plenty of Brook trout and huckleberries to eat at each trail and lake. There is also a lot of wild life, including mountain goats, moose, deer, and elk. Please make sure when bringing pets that they know not to chase these animals and always look at fire reports before heading into this area.
I was a bit apprehensive when the sign read, “RV park, casino” (restaurant, motel).....but! This place is nice. Sites are close, so prepare to be friendly. Highway is close by as well, so you will hear some traffic noise. A train occasionally runs slowly across the river. Campground nicley maintained. But, the lawnmower is out there everyday!!! Loud and unneeded. Shower and Laundry available. Nice quiet road to walk pets. And beautiful view of river and mountainside.
Te lake is beautiful and the sites are really close to the lake. Better privacy than is typical. Pets allowed and the store is close.
Private campground. Level sites, stayed in #6 right by office. Sites fairly close together. Nice pet walk area. Showers clean. Full hookups. Solid, clean, well kept place to stay.
Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and spacious restrooms and showers. Plenty of green space for pets. The only downside was the freeway noise.
Stayed in a cabin for a couple nights and had a great stay! You can hear a bit of road noise due to being in town and near the main road, but everything else was great: clean, showers, laundry facilities, near groceries/restaurants, pet-friendly, etc.

Hiking to alpine lakes: The trail to Lucifer Lake Wilderness Backcountry offers challenging terrain for experienced hikers. "Accessed by mission falls trailhead, trail is steep and unmaintained after you reach the waterfall. Steep, rugged country with little evidence of people. Amazing fishing, great views. Short hikes to other high mountain lakes," notes camper K B., who warns visitors to "Be wary of Grizzlies in late July/August during moth hatch!!!"
Boating on Flathead Lake: With multiple launch points available, the lake provides extensive water recreation opportunities. At Finley Point Unit — Flathead Lake State Park, camper Blake W. reports: "This year our walk up spot was 3, on the upper loop. It's great also. Next year, we plan to rent a boat from polson, then get a slip here for a couple of days to take advantage of that lake access."
Sunrise photography: Early risers can capture stunning mountain vistas at dawn. "Nice area with well kept grounds, full hook-up sites. WIFI works good in all areas," mentions paul C. at Diamond S RV Park, adding a practical tip about avoiding tree sap: "Stay clear of trees in center/ maple sap! Covered rv quickly."
Waterfront access: Direct lake access ranks as a top feature for many visitors. At Big Arm State Unit — Flathead Lake State Park, camper Olivia J. notes, "Camped in one of the spots that is right on the lake and could get in the water easily. Water is really clear. End if may start of June there's a ton of pollen in the water."
Clean facilities: Well-maintained bathrooms and showers receive frequent praise. "The bathroom was very clean and I loved the private showers. The laundry area was spacious and clean," shares Angela G. about Polson-Flathead Lake KOA, though she notes "The wifi didn't seem to reach the tent sites."

Seasonal flooding: Spring runoff affects some waterside sites. "Be careful camping next to the rivers as in early spring, waters rise in the evenings and will flood out the lower Plains," warns Sierra V. about Jocko Hollow Campground.

Site selection: Choose carefully based on your setup and needs. "The sites are close together but everyone has enough space. Lots of large trailers in the b loop — big, flat spots," observes Nicki A. about Big Arm State Park.
Overflow options: During peak season, have backup plans. Angelina H. shares about Diamond S RV Park: "We were exhausted and needed a place to stop on our way to Glacier National Park and we are so glad we decided to stop here. The hosts are friendly and helpful, and even though the park was full they got us settled in their overflow parking and ran an extension cord to our camper for power (no water in overflow)."
Electrical hookups: Service levels vary between campgrounds. Hailey M. notes about Big Arm State Park: "Nice campground, a bit tight if you are a bigger rig but doable in the right spot, 2-3 bars of AT&T 5g, good enough to work, and quite all night."
