I've been going to klondike since I was in the scouts. Once I started to drive I tried to go out atleast once a year.
Very primitive camping. Toilets only, but the campsites are spaced comfortably apart. The grounds are well maintained.
Friendly and quiet, concrete pads, easy hook-ups, good internet, and paved streets. IMO’s Pizza delivers. Don’t plan to sleep late during the work week though because mowing, weed whacking and leaf blowers may start at 8:00am.
Today they are removing the old concrete pad next to us while we…
We stayed 2 weekend nights in April. It rained one night so the fire pits were full of water but overall the rain didn’t cause any issues. Paved streets but gravel campsites. Nice and level. All hookups were conveniently located. Shower house and restrooms were clean and well maintained/cleaned…

We love camping at all the campgrounds on Carlyle Lake. It’s always a good time. There are plenty of areas to fish, hike, swim, picnic. Looking forward to another great year and fun filled camping and fishing.🎣
Large grassy camp sites, dog park and clean restrooms/shower house. Lake is very pretty and great staff.
A few drive up sites and lots of hike in spots around a quarry turned lake. Beautiful and clean setting. We stayed in site 24. There were picnic tables and a fire pit at our site. Great for tent camping, not sure that trailers or anything larger than a car is allowed
We spent a couple nights here at an electric site near the playground. We really enjoyed the hiking and views. The facilities were fine, consistent with IL state parks. There is a vault toilet by the playground and a shower house on the other side of the campsites.
This is a small town campground off the beaten path. Great little get away spot with nearby stores.
A friend discovered this gem a while back and we now frequent it. Super inexpensive for the space that you get. Free firewood. We have only stayed at the largest site as it has good fishing and a place for us to launch our paddleboards and kayaks. We easily fit a dozen people over the 4th of July.…

I don't know why this is on the app but it appears to be someone's house
We have visited this campground multiple times and stayed in multiple sites. We tried a new location this time (#25) and really enjoyed it. It was located by itself and was truely car camping with a parking spot at the site itself. #24 is slightly smaller, but has the same benefits. #26-28 are…
Small 13 site campground at the Spillway, 1/2 mile past McNair campground. Sites are near the water. Not very private as the day use area is here too. Lots of fisherman
We stayed in Klondike Park Campground in May. The views are spectacular with some sandy shores of a small pond in the middle of the campground and some great trails. Augusta is a nice place away from St. Louis and a short drive down 94. One caution... there were tons of ticks... i mean like we…

I wanted to escape the house and go camping while on the work from home order (Covid-19 happening at the time of this review), so I headed to a very local park and campground to pitch my tent. I've been to 370 Lakeside Park many times to walk around the huge lake and to hear concerts in the summer,…
