      Eureka Springs KOA

Better than hotel and cat friendly

No pets in yurts. Yes to Cats ❣️. My cats travel campgrounds and usually are outdoors but here I kept them in cabin because they would not like it outdoors. Cabins had AC but smelled like dust polish. Gorgeous forest views in the shower house. HOT water when shower is on Cold setting. Cold at hot. Cool affordable camp store. Nice people. Too much cinnamon spray in all indoor areas but not cabins. 24 hour rec room w AC and a wall of movies and games and books and cozy couch. Hurricane machine and fresh yummy donuts are not to be missed. My son is Big and found the camp cabin too crowded small and didn't like the leather beds even with our bedding on them. I found it cozy except the polish but couldn't open it up because we wanted the cats indoors here. Great porch swing, nice condition. Microwave and fridge. Friendly staff.

      Lost Bridge North

      Loved it!

The campsites are clean and level. Camped with a few disabled campers, and the sites were very accessible. You can camp right on the water and the views are beautiful.

Showers and bathrooms on site. A swim beach with drive up access. Picnic tables, water, and fire pits at each campsite. Lots of shade to keep you cool in the summer.

Bonus: The camp hosts are friendly and super cool. They lead some amazing lives, ask them about digging up dinosaur bones.

      Great views

Over 100 sites at this campground, weren’t many people there when we were there. Stayed in site 97 which had great views over the lake. Vault toilets. Our site had electric but no water. They didn’t bother telling us until we arrived that the water had tested positive for E. coli and the swimming areas were closed. They have a sand volleyball pit near the marina and some kids playground equipment. Also have some large pavilions for large groups. Tons of deer everywhere also raccoons at night, so keep trash put away. There was only one trash area at the front of park. They could have more trash receptacles around the park. Our area was heavily wooded which provided nice shade. Our site has a picnic bench, fire pit and pad for a tent.

COE Beaver Lake Prairie Creek Campground

My fav go to for work in NWA

I like this campground because it’s close to Rogers. I use it when I’m working in the area to shorten my commute. Some sites have water and electric. All have electric. Best sites are 96 for spaciousness and lake view, 73, 74, & 5 for levelness and easy in and out. For those on vacation, the swim beach, & marina are good! There are several good restaurants popping up; Fat Chef, Sam’s BBQ and burgers, a bakery, and nice breakfast spot on 12. Downtown Rogers is on the revival too. Check out Lake Atlanta and Hobbs State Park for hiking and biking.

Beagle Bay RV Haven & Campground

      Wonderful place to relax

Tent area is undeveloped, but the lawn is fairly level, bathrooms and showers are only a short walk away. Nicole showed me to the site and was a wonderful help. Great spot that most people might pass up because its right next to the highway, but honestly you can barely tell aside from the hum of trucks. Bathrooms are beautiful and clean, 2 toilets, 2 showers and a sauna in each. The place is quiet and seems like a lot of people here are long term residents. We are in a tent on the back lawn by a small fishing lake. Nice playground for younger kids and you cant beat the atmosphere and the birds. Free on-site laundry which I took advantage of when I needed to wash and dry my blanket on a cold night. Unfourtunately no campfire for tent camp sites, but bring a camp stove and you'll be fine. They are actively doing renovations and the office isnt open yet, so you have to call the park manager, Kim, for info and she is wonderful. All the staff is. Kim came by and took my son and 2 other kids on a golf cart ride on the trail behind the lake and they had a blast. We are loving it here and are sad to be leaving after the weekend. Update: I have just been informed they have a Willie Nelson impersonator doing a show here tonight, this place would get 6 stars if I could.

Blowing Springs RV Park & Campsites

      Ozark Gem

I’ll start my review by saying I’ve never pitched my tent in this park but have visited many times. They added tent sites in 2019- they appear to be primitive and include a fire ring. The nice thing is the tent sites are far from the RV sites so no unwanted noises for tenters in the night.

Trails abound in and around blowing springs which connect into the back 40 trail system...you can hike the B40 but remember this is a shared trail and you will come across many mountain bikers enjoying the trails system. There is also a arbortrarium in the park towards the back, a couple caves, and a creek.

If you are in need of snacks etc it’s a quick 2 minute drive to the grocery store / sonic/ Pizza Hut.

      Prairie Creek (AR)

      Lots of camping options

This is a large Corps of Engineers run campground with over 100 sites. Some of the sites are by the water-ish and some are up in the woods. I liked the remoteness of the first seven sites- they are away from the water and up in the trees. All of the sites in the campground had water and electric hookups, concrete tables, fire pits and prep tables. Some sites are not level at all and are terrible sites for tents(stick to the first seven, very level and away from the hubbub, a short walk to the lake). Most sites seemed to have good trees for hammocks. In the large main area of the campground there are a couple playground areas, a beach, marina, boat launch, and several bathrooms with flush toilets. While you are here, head into town which is super cute and home to the Daisy AirGun Museum!

Blowing Springs RV Park & Campsites

Great hiking as well as super cool springs

What I like about this campground is that the tent sites are separate from the RV area, and RV’s don’t have to go through the tents to get to their area. However, the RV’s have actual loops off the main road and the tent sites are right on that main road. The main road goes all the way through the park to the actual springs, a picnic area, and a nice arboretum. There are great hiking trails in wooded hills on either side of the campground. The RV area has dedicated parking spots for each RV with picnic tables and fire pits. The keypad coded bathhouse and laundry are also located in this area(keeps out the general public). The tent area is more or less a strip of mown grass with a few picnic tables and fire pits on either side of the road, with the creek and run off channels on either side. Obviously, you want to get a site on the creek side. Definitely hike back to Blowing Springs, LOTS of flowing water. The hiking trails up top are really pretty and surprising. I came across a cemetery up on a bluff, and found another small spring. It’s easy to get turned around and confused on the trails as they seem to overlap and some trail names seem to appear on several trails.

    Guide to Diamond

Diamond, Missouri campgrounds are situated in the Ozark Plateau region at elevations ranging from 800-1,200 feet, creating varied terrain for camping experiences. Summer temperatures typically reach the high 80s with humidity, while spring and fall offer milder conditions in the 60s-70s. Most established campgrounds in the area maintain tent sites on gravel pads or grass surfaces with moderate spacing between sites.

    What to do

Fishing opportunities: At Indian Creek Campground, visitors can fish directly from the shores of the lake. "Boat ramp was nice. Not great but ok for kayaking," notes camper Cathy S. The nearby swimming beach provides another water-based activity option during summer months.

Hiking trails: The region offers varied hiking terrain with some unexpected elevation changes. "Had an awesome hike, more incline/decline than I was expecting for the area! The lookout over the Missouri River!" shares Angie from Indian Creek Campground. Hikers should prepare for ticks during summer months by bringing insect repellent.

Mountain biking access: Blowing Springs RV Park & Campsites connects directly to extensive trail systems. "We get on our bikes and ride all day and then come back and enjoy the peaceful campground!" says Savannah T. The park provides "incredible instant access to the trailhead of many singletrack bike and hiking trails."

    What campers like

Clean facilities: Beagle Bay RV Haven Campground gets high marks for cleanliness. "Bathrooms are beautiful and clean, 2 toilets, 2 showers and a sauna in each," reports Alex B. The campground also features "free on-site laundry which I took advantage of when I needed to wash and dry my blanket on a cold night."

Waterfront views: Lost Bridge North provides premium lakeside camping with scenic views. "We were able to launch our kayaks from our camp site," explains Myra P. The campground has "staggered rv slots, so it seems like everyone would have a great view of the lake," according to Jody D.

Entertainment options: Some campgrounds offer unexpected amenities beyond basic glamping in Diamond, Missouri. Beagle Bay RV Haven impresses visitors with its entertainment offerings. One camper mentioned, "I have just been informed they have a Willie Nelson impersonator doing a show here tonight, this place would get 6 stars if I could."

    What you should know

Reservation requirements: Most glamping accommodations and improved campsites in the Diamond area require advance bookings, especially during peak season (May-September). "Reserved spots here solely because of availability for Memorial Day weekend," notes Mandi R. about Prairie Creek Campground.

Leveling challenges: Many campsites in the region have uneven terrain. "Be prepared with as many leveling blocks as you can bring if you have a trailer. All spots seemed to have unlevel pads," warns Mandi R. about Prairie Creek. At Lost Bridge North, however, campers report "all sites are level with great views of the lake."

Water hookup variations: Water access differs between campgrounds and even within the same facility. At Prairie Creek Campground, "Basically every spot has water hookup EXCEPT the spots in the loop we were in (which is fine, we were aware before we arrived)," says a reviewer.

    Tips for camping with families

Playground access: Eureka Springs KOA caters to families with multiple recreation options. "From swimming in the pool to shooting hoops and climbing in the playgrounds they have had plenty to do," says Craig B. The campground also features "a game room which is really nice."

    Tips from RVers

Site selection guidance: At Joplin KOA, RVers appreciate the variety of site options. "Shaded, pull thru sites as well as back-ins, cabins, and tent sites. Sites are very level with crushed stone pads," explains Mike H. The campground offers good water pressure and grassy areas between sites.

Hookup details: Full-service sites are available at select campgrounds. "All sites had water and electric hookups, concrete tables, fire pits and prep tables," reports Annie C. about Prairie Creek, though she notes "some sites are not level at all and are terrible sites for tents."

Access considerations: RVers should note road conditions when planning their visit. "Easy access for our Class A Motorhome and nice level lots with good separation between the sites," shares Craig B. about Eureka Springs KOA.
