    Brooks Mobile & RV Park

Brooks RV Park is the safest RV Park in the Louisville area. It is beautifully landscaped with all 50 amp full hook-up RV sites, located just 1.8 miles from I-65! We are the only RV Park in Louisville Kentucky with creek front and concrete pad sites. We are conveniently and centrally located for easy access to all Louisville, KY has to offer yet far enough away from the Freeway so there is no road noise. There are 2 nice golf courses within 3 miles. We are located near shopping, restaurants, Churchill Downs, Downtown Louisville, the Bourbon Distillery Trail, and many other attractions.

Daily rates for full hookup sites start at $45 a night and $50 for pull thru. Weekly rates start at $245, and monthly rates start at $495. We offer preferred creek front sites, over-sized sites, pull through sites, concrete pad sites, and hill side sites. All sites include 50 amp electric, water, and sewer. There is a dumpster next to lot 77. Lawn care is provided. We have 50 to 30 amp adapters for sale on site. Currently Wi-Fi is broadcast and available near the center of the park at lot 50. Please see our Rates Page for important information regarding weekly and monthly long term stays, deposits, and more.

Come and enjoy the new paved roads, and this is a big rig park that can handle coaches as large as 50 feet plus toad. Because we are conveniently located in the greater Louisville metropolitan area, please know there is a nearby train track, and we are only 8 miles from the Louisville International airport as well, but you get used to it! Thankfully there is no freeway noise, which can be very loud. We do not have bathrooms or a shower house, or a pool, but we do have a credit card laundry facility on site.

We love our long term RV guests! We are open all year long, and we welcome full timers to come stay with us! We also love to hear from our guests! Please feel free to send feedback to Scott and Dana, the owners, by emailing info@brooksrvpark.com . This helps us provide you with a fantastic guest experience. Make this your home away from home, whether you are exploring the many attractions in the Louisville area or if you are visiting for work.

Brooks RV Park - full hookup The safest park in Louisville!

Fairy Land RV Park - with twinkly lights that come on every night

This RV Park is safe and lovely. All 50 amp full hook up sites.  Every site has a picnic table and a fire pit. There is a nice laundromat, and the paved roads were repaved not long ago.  There are nearly 80 super nice RV sites and only 4 mobiles. It is a safest RV Park in the Louisville, KY area, right off I-65 in the Greater Louisville area.

Great Access to Mammoth Caves NP

This park is located on the entrance road to Mammoth Caves NP, and it is a spectacular way to stay and enjoy the hiking in the caves!

The park was smaller than many Encore and Thousand Trails parks but offers all of the normal amenities including the pool, playground, clubhouses, putt putt and more. They have sites that are easy to get into, some pull through and some back in. They have full hookup and some partial hookups. There are many seasonal or permanent campers.

Cellular service was ok with TMobile and AT&T. Once you come away from the hills it is much better.

There are many local restaurants within 20 minutes and several other cave systems to see here as well.

Thousand Trails Diamond Caverns RV & Golf Resort

There are better places to stay.

This is an old campground that is only desirable because of its proximity to Mammoth Cave. The Thousand Trails website portrays it as being some oasis on par with their other campgrounds, but it is as far from luxury as it gets.

They claim to follow the same guidelines expected of other Thousand Trails locations, but there are many full timers at this campground with junk in their sites, flying their Trump flags, not picking up after their dogs.

Sites in row B are 30 amp hookups. Some sites has short concrete pads in between gravel while others are just gravel. I would not recommend the concrete pads as most of them are too short for most rigs and will make it challenging to level (and to leave without scraping).

Sites are tight. Be prepared to get friendly with your neighbor when you go outside because you essentially share the minimal amount of space between sites. Water spigots are also shared, which means you’ll have low water pressure if you’re both using water simultaneously. Sewer connections at our site were threaded, but there are no covers for when they’re not in use. The sewer hookups are also tied together underground, so be prepared to enjoy the smell of your black tank when you empty.

The electricity at the campground doesn’t appear to be able to handle the amount of load that most campers will pull in the summer months. The checkin packet recommends not running multiple high wattage appliances simultaneously (even if the total draw would be under the amperage of your site’s breaker).

Long story short, there are nicer places to stay that are just a short drive away. This place is a joke for $70 per night. Save your money and drive a few miles I further down the interstate. You won’t regret it.

A nice place near Cave City

I was traveling during everything shutting down, 2020, and feel lucky to have found this with lots of space between campers, all on gravel, and a pond and some long term people who seem to work there. Some families came and went the four days, and some overnight as they were headin to Canada, Massachusetts, and Texas. A small pond and field to walk or play on was a little wet when I came, dried out quickly, and another rain before I left Mar 26. There is a small number of items in the office for RVs and pop and ice cream. The proprietors want everyone to feel welcome and kids to have enough toys, fishin poles, and movies to borrow and return. I know I want to come back!

    Your right there!

Diamond Caverns RV Resort was an enjoyable stay on the edge of Mammoth Cave National Park. Right off of I65 it's a short drive to the campground.

Not much shade but the sites were well maintained. A pool, miniature golf and scheduled activities.

    Mammoth Cave National Park

WOW we loved this park and caves and hikes, the kids could not stop talking and talking about the caves. This campground is close to the visitor center and you’ll need site reservations in summer. Showers are wonderfully hot but there’s no RV hookups. Our sites were pretty close to another but I think some of them had some more privacy. We met someone camping here with their horse which sounded like so much fun (but don’t worry the horse sites are farther away so no barn smells).

    Small quiet dispersed

Very quiet. Two fenced dog runs that were slightly overgrown when we first arrived but were cut when the rain allowed. Paved roads throughout but very few paved sights. WIFI and cell service very limited would advise a antenna for long term. Office personnel were extremely helpful and understanding. I had truck problems and it extended our stay so I just had to move trailer to different site. Ft Knox is just a few miles away.

Overall this is a great FamCamp. Will definitely stay again.

Nice resort, some full time sites but most sites are well kept. We were at site A7, back in site, 50 amp full hookup fit our 43ft camper and enough room for our truck. Gravel site backs up to trees. Some smaller sites have cement pads but 30 amp full hook up. Great location if you want to head out to the caves.

    Heartland RV Park

    A great place

I am a long term camper. This park has all the utilities water, electric, sewer. I haven't had issues with the free wifi and am able to stream movies and TV with no buffering.

They have a community building with restrooms, showers, laundry, kitchen area, and mail pick up. They also have an outdoor community area with a fire pit, lounge chairs, and grill.

They have been having events for the children. Movie night, outdoor games, and a camp fire with smores.

It's quiet and 5 minutes away from town. Door dash delivers.

The manager is a sweetheart and makes sure any issues are taken care of.

    Good spot in a pinch

Spent 2 nights here while passing through on our way to Mississippi. We had full hook ups on a pretty level pull through site. Wifi and cable was good and we had decent Verizon service. Although our spot didn't have leveling challenges, I noticed some did. One class C I saw had his front wheels 6 inches off the ground. The people in the office were friendly and accommodating.

    Louisville South KOA

Close to Louisville and Bourbon Tours

The Louisville South KOA is approximately 25 miles south of downtown Louisville in Shepardsville, KY. The location is easy to find off the exit of 65(which also has a Walmart and other stores nearby to resupply).

The campground has both pull through gravel sites, back-in, and tent sites. The sites were close to each other but provided plenty of space for the average sized rig. Many were longer than other KOAs, which enabled the tow vehicle and TT to be parked. Full hook-ups and 30/50 amp services at the sites, some leveling required. The campground store is well stocked and the employees are very friendly.

There is a pool(no hot tub-filled in with stones), play/game area, bounce pillow, and 2 miles of hiking trails around the campground. While the campground was nice, there is a lot of“stuff”(old broken trailers, mowers, etc) laying around the edges and in need of mowing between the sites. These items tend to take away from the overall welcoming feeling of the campground.

This being said, the wifi was strong and it is very convenient to sightseeing around Nashville, especially for the price of$54 per night.

Full timers and one night stays

This park is mainly a site for full timers. We were traveling through and needed a place for the night. For:that, it worked out ok. It is an RV spot, not really a good place if you are looking to camp. The place is clean, staff friendly, full hookups. Sites are very tight if they are full.

    Horse Cave KOA

    Very nice campground

We stayed at this KOA many years ago on our way home. I again needed an overnight stop on our way home & booked here again. WOW! things have changed.

We got a fabulous patio site that was twice the size of our camper. It had a gorgeous view of the Kentucky hills. Full hook up.

The sites all looked very nice. They had teepees, covered wagons & a couple of treehouses. A nice area for tents as well.

The pond is catch & release.

    The pool wasn't open yet.

The bathrooms were outstanding! Recently remodeled? Clean as well.

They had a nice camp store I really didn't get to explore.

    So many activities for kids.

The worst thing I can say about it is there is highway noise from I-65, but really I feel we've had worse.

Looks like a nice base camp for the surrounding area.

Thanks office ladies for the Derby pie!

    Just Okay

Bit over priced. It went up each night we stayed. We had a fifth wheel on a standard gravel 30/50 amp site. Full hook up. Advertised internet but there wasn’t any in the section we stayed. There was a little shade in our area. The whole place is alternated by cabins and camping sites. There is grass between every site. Plenty of playgrounds, a pool and pond/beach. Golf cart rentals are $55 per day and people run them all day and night. Golf carts were playing music at midnight. This place does not sleep. And if you bring dogs, you must physically show them the rabies tag, they don’t check their email. Even though you pick a spot on their map they will change you to a different spot unless you pay the $35 extra to “lock in” a specific spot.

Singing Hills RV Park And Campground

Small, quiet campground near Mammoth Cave NP

My family and I stayed here in a 34-foot travel trailer at the end of June. And it was hot! In the 90s. We were grateful for the large shade tree in front of our site and the full hook-ups to cool down our rolling home. The site was more than long enough for our TT and pick-up. The campground has about 40 sites that vary in size; some back-in, some pull thru. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit. There is a large field in the back for group tent camping. A stocked, catch and release fishing pond with a fountain is next to the turnaround. The office sells snacks, drinks, ice cream, a decent selection of camping supplies, and a bunch of DVDs you can borrow.  And let me tell you that the other reviews are true - the owners/operators are really the nicest people you will ever meet. They welcome you with genuine kindness, give you their cell phone numbers so you can reach them any time if you have a problem. They also give you written information/recommendations on the local services and attractions. And to top it all off, the prices are very affordable. So, yep. Highly recommend.

    Works in a pinch

Has tent and RV camping. I tent camped this trip and stopped by for one night as I was passing through. Cost was about $16ish. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Tent sites are at the front of the property with the RVs to the back. Tent campsites are not defined - just an open area for all to share with picnic tables and grills scattered around. Kids playground next to it. Couldn't find the potable water for the tent area. The RVs had electric & water hookups. Showers and bathrooms available. Right next to a side road with a bit of traffic the night I stayed.

    Nice park near Mammoth Cave

Singing Hills is a nice private RV park near Mammoth Cave. We stayed one night. Sites 37, 39-44 are not shady, while the lower numbered sites have shade. The park streets and sites are gravel. The park was clean and quiet, and the staff was very friendly. They have a huge selection of DVDs and some fishing poles you can use for free. Stayed in pull through campsite#49 which was not shady but mostly level. It was a gravel site with grass on either side. There was enough parking for my 34 ft TT and truck. Neighbors are close. The site included: picnic table on grass and fire ring. Utilities: 20/30/50A electric in back. Water in back, good pressure. Sewer in middle with threaded fitting. AT&T had 2 bars of LTE and Verizon 1 bar of LTE service. AT&T Speedtest: 3 Mbps down, 1 Mbps up. Verizon Speedtest: 0.15 Mbps down, 0.13 Mbps up. Free WiFi Speedtest: 24 Mbps down, 15 Mbps up, but frequently drops out. Would stay here again We camped at Singing Hills RV Park& Campground in a Travel Trailer.

This campground is well maintained and offers beautiful landscaping. It is close to the highway as well so for those looking for a quick stop.

    2 things I loved:

    1. Being summer in Kentucky in this beautifully landscaped RV park.
    2. Very well managed sites

    One thing I didn’t love:

    1. You have to wait to be golf car escorted to your site. I think it should be offered versus required.

Singing Hills RV Park And Campground

    Nice park near Mammoth Cave

Singing Hills is a nice private RV park near Mammoth Cave. We stayed one night. Sites 37, 39-44 are not shady, while the lower numbered sites have shade. The park streets and sites are gravel. The park was clean and quiet, and the staff was very friendly. They have a huge selection of DVDs and some fishing poles you can use for free.

Stayed in pull through campsite #49 which was not shady but mostly level.

    Would stay here again
