What to do
Mountain biking in Brown County State Park: The park features nearly 30 miles of purpose-built mountain bike trails ranging from beginner to expert level. "The mountainbike trails are fantastic, something for every skill level. Nashville is just down the road and has a lot of small shops to go through and a micro brew/distillery that has good beer and food," notes Dave S. who stayed at Buffalo Ridge Campground.
Boating at Yellowwood Lake: Yellowwood State Forest provides boat rentals for fishing and exploring the 133-acre lake. "We have also had lots of fun renting a rowboat, and being out on the water," shares Margo B. from Yellowwood State Forest. Electric motors are permitted but size restrictions apply.
Bluegrass music events: The Bill Monroe Memorial Music Park & Campground hosts regular bluegrass performances throughout camping season. "This is the Bill Monroe Bluegrass Music Park & Campground near Nashville, IN. Very nice facility with nice stage for events," writes Cinda A. who visited the venue.
What campers like
Natural seclusion: Berry Ridge Road dispersed camping offers true isolation for campers seeking privacy. "Multiple campsites in the area, I've stayed at two both of which were away from others, clean, fairly flat and had plenty of dead wood around to burn," reports Jeremy F. from Berry Ridge Road Dispersed Camping.
Clean facilities: Johnson County Park maintains well-kept bathroom facilities despite being a basic county park. "Very quiet and peaceful!! Clean bathrooms/showers!!! Park is nice and clean too!! Very reasonable!!" says Janet F. who stayed at Johnson County Park.
Split-level tent sites: Brown County State Park features uniquely designed tent sites with separate cooking and sleeping areas. "Many of the tent sites are split-level, meaning the fire pit and tent area is down a hill from where you park your car... these sites have two picnic tables, upper and lower," explains Brian O. who camped at Raccoon Ridge Campground.

Tips from RVers
Site selection strategy: Look carefully at site details when booking in pet-accommodating campgrounds near Nineveh. "I would say pay particular attention to the size of the site you're booking as some were pretty small. Also, some sites were fairly sloped as well," advises Amanda D. from Taylor Ridge Campground.
Park entrance restrictions: RVs must use specific entrances at some parks. "The north entrance is through a covered bridge with a 9 foot clearance and 3 ton limit! Otherwise, use the easily accessible west entrance, just a few miles 'around the corner,'" warns TMB from Buffalo Ridge Campground.
Limited amenities: Many campgrounds offer basic services. "The only amenity not available is Sewage Hookup but they offer a dump instead. Very open wide spaced sites. Shade is hard to come by," notes Nomon K. about Johnson County Park.
