Jolley Camper RV & Cottages features furnished cabin rentals with access to clean facilities. Wakeside Lake RV Park provides lakeside cabins with full amenities including laundry facilities. "The cabins just have beds in them and no other amenities. Rustic and deluxe cabins are both available, depending on the location. Mountain River Ranch offers cabin accommodations from May to October with access to drinking water, electricity, and market facilities. Teton Peaks Resort provides year-round cabin rentals with modern amenities including laundry facilities and access to showers. The cabin is pretty awesome, although there is no electricity- but that didn't really bother my family and I."

Most basic cabins include beds but require visitors to bring their own linens, towels, and toiletries. Cooking facilities vary significantly between properties - some include full kitchens while others provide only basic amenities. "The cabin does provide bunk beds- not the most comfortable so I would suggest bringing some type of air mattress or camping pad to put down on the bed. It does have a wood stove, table, chairs, dishes, and pots," one visitor advised. Several cabin properties include on-site markets for basic supplies, including Mountain River Ranch and Teton Peaks Resort. Visitors staying at more remote cabins should plan to bring all necessary supplies, including garbage bags, as some locations require guests to pack out their own trash.

Yellowstone RV Park at Mack’s Inn

    Love this place

You can find an RV park closer to Yellowstone, but you’d be hard pressed to find one nicer. The people running it are salt of the earth good folks. The laundry and restrooms are nice and clean. The spaces are shaded with picnic tables and fire pits. Perfect playground and easy access to the river for kayaking or paddle boarding.

    Squirrel Meadows Cabin

Love the cabin and so much wildlife!

Squirrel Meadows Cabin in WY is a lot of fun, and great for a family. The cabin is pretty awesome, although there is no electricity- but that didn't really bother my family and I. Were did a ton of outdoor activities, that we really weren't inside the cabin a whole lot. The cabin is about 25 miles from Ashton, ID in a beautiful forest area. The cabin is surrounded by trees, and you do see quite a bit of wildlife. The fee to rent the cabin is $40 a night, which is not bad considering what you would pay for a hotel a night. The cabin does fit 6, although we had 5 people in our group and that seemed like plenty (6 might be a little crowded, but would still work!). We did a lot of outdoor activities like hiking, biking and also picked some really good berries. There was honestly something for everyone to do, which made the stay here nice. The cabin does provide bunk beds- not the most comfortable so I would suggest bringing some type of air mattress or camping pad to put down on the bed. It does have a wood stove, table, chairs, dishes, and pots. I would also suggest bringing your own garbage bags because the place does not provide this. We didn't bring any, and had to drive to the nearest town to get some. You do want to pack out your own garbage, because we later found out that you will get charged extra if you don't. You also want to put away any food you have outside because there are bears- we left a garbage bag outside and in the morning it was open and trash was everywhere! I would recommend staying here, and cant wait to come back with my family.

    Great amenities and great location!

We needed a place to stay in our van for a few nights on our way to Grand Tetons. The owners were very friendly and helpful, Randy even brought us a picnic table for our spot. It was so nice to have a hot shower for a change. The bathhouse/restroom was very clean. There is laundry on site, which was a major plus for us. Cell service is great, and WiFi is provided. They also have large RV/camper spots, tent spots, and cabins. There’s a play area for children too. We are so grateful for them having us at their campsite, and if we are in the area again we will be back!

    Henrys Lake State Park Campground

Stunning views, close to Yellowstone NP

You're greeted by friendly Idaho State Parks volunteers at the kiosk and given a brief rundown about the park including easy to follow directions to your campsite.

There are hiking trails with great views of the lake and wildlife. Bring your camera and binoculars because the bird watching is phenomenal.

The park is very clean and well maintained. Each RV site has electricity and shared access to water or individual water depending on the site. Each RV site is paved and has a fire ring. The sites are very nicely spaced.

Caddis Loop sites have water and power and 8 sites have sewer, but half or more of the sites are not level. Adams and Blue Dun loops have power, water, trees and most sites are level.

Restrooms and showers are cleaned daily and restocked throughout the day.

Impressively, 99.9% of campers do a good job picking up after themselves. Trash is picked up daily at 930am at your campsite. There are no dumpsters.

The campground dump station is out of service for the 2021 season. There was a notice warning about that on the reservation website. The park has 8 sites with sewer connections that cannot be shared, so plan accordingly.

The resident park ranger is very pleasant as are the resident volunteers that do the bulk of the park maintenance and cleaning.

    Henrys Lake State Park Campground

This place would have been close to perfect had it not been so buggy when the winds slowed

Upon our arrival at this campsite we were met with the most spectacular sunsets. The views of three mountain passes and the haze and cloud cover from a forest fire in the distance provided great views. It was windy at times so that limited the cooking we were able to do over an open fire like we typically would. One of the things that we did was purchase a new grill which the boys put together soon after our arrival. L did a bunch of the work and did a great job following the instructions. The campsite had an older section and a newer section. We didn't know this when we booked the site and was fortunate enough to get in the "new" section where the sites and driveway was paved and had new showers and restrooms. Had it not been for the windy conditions this might have been the perfect campsite.

There was a boat launch at the campsite and the lake offers boat rentals from a neighboring marina. The rivers provided better fishing due to the high winds but the views didn't disappoint. On a positive note, the winds kept the bugs away. When the winds died down, the bugs made an appearance and were in plentiful supply.

I am in favor of returning again, it was 15 miles from the West Yellowstone entrance in Montana. So you had easy access to grocery stores, gas stations, as well as one of the most beautiful National Parks in the country.

The view above is of the restroom/shower area. If you look closely, you'll see L near the building. On the roof of the building was a Peregrine Falcon! That happens to be the first one he's seen in the wild up close. He's seen them flying but much further in the distance. He was so incredibly happy that he was able to observe this bird of prey up close.

Fly fishing outfitter and campground in one

In Swan Valley the name of the game is fly fishing. This small campground is also a fly fishing outfitter and shop. While l was just passing through and I am not a fisherwoman, it seemed to offer pretty good services if that is your thing. I pulled in after hours but fortunately the owner’s dog alerted her to my presence and she was willing to open the office to rent me a tent site for the evening. There are 3ish tent sites(one was being worked on), about a half dozen pull thru RV sites, and 3 or 4 cabins for rent. There is a central bathhouse with two full bathrooms in a trailer for everyone to share. The bathhouse rooms are electronically accessed with codes the host gives you on check in. They were really nice and clean, like bathrooms in a typical modern home, except that one had the water heater tank in it and both had space heaters on the floor to plug in(fire hazard??). The tent site I chose was at the back of the campground so I didn’t have much highway noise, and fell asleep to the sound of the nearby horses grazing. Next door on the other side is a municipal building that appears to be the home base for the sheriff. The view of the back of the office/fly shop is not very picturesque, with boats and atv’s and odds and ends laying about. There are nice trees providing shade, but there is no real privacy between sites, tents, or cabins. The grass was quite lush, so I am wondering when the sprinkler system comes on. This place works as a layover or for someone who will take advantage of the fly fishing services, but not much else.
