    Liberty Lake RV Campground

Looks like a parking lot with RVs

This is a newer RV park in Liberty Lake. They have only been open 2 years. Liberty Lake is between Spokane, WA and Coeur d’Alene ID. There are about 130 spaces or so, with concrete pads and paved streets. There is grass between sites, but they are much too close to be comfortable, and there is no shade! And, the rules!!! Lots more rules than most other camping areas.’ It also appears many of the residents are semi-permanent. They have free cable snd wifi, a dog park, playground, swimming pool, laundry, and dump station. The sites are 30/50 amp, most are pull through but the outer ring is back in. They also have propane. They are on the pricy side: an outside loop 50 ft. Site is $74/night. Good Sam gets you a 10% discount. It is easy access to I-90 both East and west.

    Blackwell Island RV Park

    Waterfront RV campground

    9/14 to 9/17/19

    Blackwell Island RV Resort

    Coeur d'alene Idaho

Close to interstate, located next to Spokane River and lake. Boat and kayak rentals. Sites are gravel, level, both pull throughs and back ins available, FHU, no privacy between sites. Some nice water front sites. Chairs in place to enjoy the small beach. Nice volleyball and play area. Small BMX course was fun. Cute landscaping near water, small trees within the campground. Picnic tables, no wood fires allowed. No tents of any kind. Very limited store at the office. Town very close with stores and restaurants. Nice restaurant a short distance at the Marina called Cedars. Great private bathroom/with shower. Nice laundry facilities. Free cable and spotty wifi. Moose too!

    Kootenai County Fairgrounds RV Park

It's one of the nicest fairground rv parks.

It's one of the nicest fairground rv park I have been to. This place was very well kept and very friendly campground host. This place is big rig friendly. I stayed in a 45 class A motorhome with a tow vehicle. I had no problem with the access to the rv park. If you are coming off of interstate 90, don't use exit 13. The round about is way to small to handle big rig or any camper. The best route is exit 12 big rig friendly. The price is very reasonable for this area. No shade.

    Liberty Lake Regional Park

    Quiet park close to Spokane

We spent 3 weeks at Liberty Lake Regional Park while visiting our son and grandkids in Spokane. The road in is a little narrow, but once in, it’s a great little campground. Most of the sites are fairly level. We stayed at 2 different sites over 3 weeks, and both were level. They are close together! They provide a fire pit if you want one. Picnic table, water and electric. The dump station is quite a drive, back out, up the hill. There is a clean shower/bathroom building and a beach within walking distance of the campground. While we were there the campground hosts did a fantastic job of keeping everything clean and tidy. Several hiking trails, including an equestrian trail, waterfall, fishing and lots of wildlife. There were deer in the campground every day, we saw moose, owls, pilated woodpecker, and hawks. We were there over July 4th weekend and they had a fireworks display on the beach.

    Thousand Trails Little Diamond

    Little Diamond Newport Washington

We spent a week here and loved it. It is so quiet and peaceful. The sites share electric and water, no sewer and are positioned oddly they are on the off side and in front by the road. Some 30and 50 amp just check the box. The sites are gravel, some what level and size/length varies, a few pull throughs, our 37ft 5ver had no problem. Bathroom showers are ok. Laundry is good. There is a small lake free fishing, didn’t fish. We stayed in the Thousand Trails side, it is a split park with KOA on the other side. Two dump stations, nice lodge/ spa and pool open. AT&T and Sprint were very good. At our site 144

    Albert's Landing

Clean, Friendly, Well Maintained RV Campground on the CDA River

Albert's Landing is a clean, well managed RV campground on the shores of the North Fork of the CDA River near Cataldo, Idaho.

The campground offers 60+ sites with water & 30\50 amp service, level gravel pads, picnic tables, and fire rings. There is nearly 1000' of river frontage, a camp store, and a river float shuttle. However, the campground does not currently have a septic dump, trash facilities, or showers, Those services will be available soon though.

The North Fork of the CDA River is a popular destination for river floating, fishing, and off road recreational activities.

Down the road from the campground is the historic Snake Pit restaurant. Highly recommend stopping in for their great food, atmosphere, and colorful history.

If you're planning to visit the North Fork of the CDA River, I highly recommend Albert's Landing.

    Sedlmayer's Resort & Campground

A great quiet campground on the lake front.

My wife accidentally came across this private campground, which turned into a great stay. Located in northern Idaho and right on Spirit Lake, this campground has 31 RV sites that can accommodate various sizes of RVs. Every site has 20, 30& 50 amp electrical service however, only sites 1 through 21 have sewer. If you need a pull-through site, then go with #14 through#19, or#21.

The campground has a lakeside restaurant, boat slips for campers, and a small general store. The area was well maintained and clean. There are numerous mature cedar trees providing shade and privacy throughout the campground. My only complaint is that only 5 fire pits are located throughout the campground. This campground seems to be a local known quiet gem worth checking out for family fun.

Guide to Dalton Gardens

RV parks near Dalton Gardens, Idaho provide convenient access to the lakes and forests of northern Idaho's panhandle region, located at approximately 2,300 feet elevation. The area experiences four distinct seasons, with winter temperatures often dropping below freezing from November through March. Most RV campgrounds in the region operate on paved or gravel sites, with varying degrees of privacy depending on location and surrounding vegetation.

What to do

Trail access: CDA River RV Riverfront Campground sits alongside the Coeur d'Alene River with direct access to the Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes. "Bring kayak and put in the river right at the campground. Cement pads, New pavement, good hosts, nice spot," notes one camper about this waterfront location.

Water activities: At Blackwell Island RV Park, visitors can enjoy multiple water recreation options. "We took our paddle boards out and it was great!" writes one reviewer. Another adds, "Swimming, Kayaking, SUP, Motorized boating all available just steps away."

Amusement parks: Silverwood RV Park connects directly to Silverwood Theme Park via a pedestrian tunnel. "You can easily walk from your tent right into the park, which makes it super convenient," explains one visitor. This allows families to "camp the night before, hit the theme park early, and then crash after a fun filled day."

What campers like

Clean facilities: The Kootenai County Fairgrounds RV Park maintains well-kept amenities. "Extremely clean, looks very new, and lots of space between sights. Lacks trees, but trees just need time to grow and mature," notes one camper. Another mentions, "This is only 5 years old and gets better every year. Bathrooms and shower house are open."

Natural shade: Unlike many other area campgrounds, Tamarack RV Park And Vacation Cabins offers more tree cover. "A really pretty setting, though the spaces feel a little narrow," reports one visitor. Multiple reviews highlight the "mature trees providing shade" and that it's "a pretty rv park with mature trees."

River views: Wallace RV Park offers waterfront sites with pleasant natural sounds. "We backed right above the creek. With the windows open I could hear it babbling all night. Pure bliss," shares one camper. The location provides "beautiful creekside camping" with "a clean bathroom."

What you should know

Site spacing: Most RV parks in the Dalton Gardens area feature relatively close quarters. At Blackwell Island RV Park, one camper notes: "Sites VERY close so no privacy at all. Very limited shade." Another describes it as "packing them in like a can of sardines."

Seasonal operations: Several campgrounds have limited operating schedules. Blackwell Island RV Park typically operates "from April through mid-October with gravel sites along the Spokane River." Silverwood RV Park runs seasonally from "May 7 to October 31."

Noise considerations: Liberty Lake RV Campground has traffic sounds due to its location. "This park is right on the side of I-90, so road noise 24 hours a day along with the train and industrial buildings on each side. So if you are looking peace and quiet, this isn't it," explains one reviewer.

Tips for camping with families

Playground access: Liberty Lake RV Campground offers amenities specifically for children. "Amenities include a playground, basketball court, dog park, clubhouse, pool and bathhouse. All are nice," notes one family. The pool receives positive reviews during summer months.

Activity options: Silverwood RV Park provides direct theme park access, making it ideal for families. "The water park and rides were amazing, like a smaller, easier Disneyland. Everyone had lots of fun and we'd definitely go back," shares a visitor with children.

Spacing considerations: Kootenai County Fairgrounds RV Park offers more room between sites than other local options. "The campground is designed well so sites have more space than other campgrounds," explains one camper. Another notes, "Our number 1 site was over 60 feet long and large for our 34 foot long 5th wheel and our Chevy truck."

Tips from RVers

Level sites: Most RV campgrounds around Dalton Gardens feature level parking areas. Blackwell Island RV Park offers "both pull throughs and back ins available, FHU, no privacy between sites." Another camper mentions "The site was reasonably level, not very private (most if not all spaces are out in the open)."

Water pressure: CDA River RV Riverfront Campground advises campers about water connections. "Was told to make sure to use pressure regulator, always do anyways but when we got here pressure was so bad we just filled our fresh water tank and used the rvs pump," reports one RVer.

Park entrances: When approaching RV campgrounds in the area, consider access routes. About Kootenai County Fairgrounds, one camper advises: "If you are coming off of interstate 90, don't use exit 13. The round about is way to small to handle big rig or any camper. The best route is exit 12 big rig friendly."
