NOFO GROVES Getaway is located on a small-scale 5-acre tropical fruit tree farm in SW Florida. We have chickens, ducks, two ponds, lots of open space, a small fruit tree nursery, and about a dozen or so fruit trees in the ground! We love having people over to visit and enjoy sharing our passion for growing fruit trees and raising chickens and ducks!

Bring your tent and camp out back in an open grassy area near the back pond, or set up your RV near the front and enjoy a spacious getaway under the oaks and pines. Explore the farm, see the animals, go for a walk around the property, or just sit outside and relax.

We are centrally located in the rural area of the Bayshore Community with only a 5-minute drive to I-75, a 20-minute drive to Downtown Fort Myers, and a 20-minute drive to Babcock Ranch.

Being only 5 minutes away from I-75 makes it quick and easy to either drive down south to Bonita Springs to enjoy our local beaches or north to Punta Gorda to explore!

Downtown Fort Myers has many local restaurants and shops if you want to go out and about. They typically have events on the weekends like Art Walk and Music Walk!

We are a 20-minute drive from Babcock Ranch which is the first solar-powered town in America. It is a community open to the public that has several walking/biking trails, a beautiful lake for kayaking/fishing, and a small dog park. They also have a restaurant (Lakehouse Kitchen & Bar) that looks out over the water and live entertainment on certain days of the week!

Our street is right across from a local farm-to-table restaurant called "Rosy Tomorrows Heritage Farm" where you can enjoy a farm-to-table meal on their 100-acre farm while enjoying live entertainment (reservations are required). We also have two parks, Nalle Grade Park and Pop Ash Creek Preserve, that are about a 1 to 2-minute drive for those who enjoy nature walks, fishing, or birding.

There are many other parks, restaurants, and local businesses nearby for you to enjoy if you want to get out and explore the local area! We are always happy to make recommendations of places to visit, or happy to have you relax on our little slice of paradise and just hang out the entire time!

My husband and I both work from home so one of us will always be on the property to help with anything you might need. We are so excited about your visit and can't wait to see ya out on NOFO GROVES for your Getaway

LABONTE RV PARK FT MYERS FL 33917- i am a resident here

This park is a nice park, it looks so much better since that Spanish guy started doing the landscaping. The grass is no longer brown. It's lush and d pretty. There is a tenant that lives there that has no regard to the law or respect to others I believe his name is Bo(real name Roy) threatened to shoot up a neighbor’s house, destroyed property gets abusive when he is drunk or on meth. He hurt a veteran, a man that has cancer including his wife because he is always drunk ang high. He's sleeping with a married neighbor. Theres too much negativity and drama in that park with a man that has an extensive criminal record! He also has two restraining orders against in the park as well which he is not supposed to be even living there per the law. There is children that live in this park and his is a threat to society. The owners will not get rid of him some reason which I don’t understand.

Close to the beach, beautiful resort, wenlove the privacy

This is a beautiful Class A only resort.  100 sites on the Myakka River with Amazon

sunsets.  Sites are typically 70’ x 50’ . Large roads easy access.

Extremely active community in season, a peaceful retreat in the off season.

Sites are individually owned, some with Casitas, some with outdoor kitchens etc.  Great Wi-Fi, individual cat 5 cable to each site.  Boardwalk along the river, fishing pier, kayak launch.  They have 5 pickleball courts.  Large heated resort pool with attached lap pool. Two large dog parks.

Water aerobics in season.  Small gym.  Yoga, on spite massages and facials in season.  Extremely active social calendar,  open to everyone.   Beautifully  remodeled clubhouse, with a large subset deck overlooking the river.   Close to everything, multiple beaches 20 minutes away,  great shopping and restaurants are close by.  Extremely friendly owners, they treat renters like members of their family.  We travel in a Newmar Ventana.

Flying A Primitive Campsite - Myakka State Park

    Quiet but littered.

Tucked away between Englewood and North Port, this primitive site is only eight dollars to stay at. Not too bad, but the campsite looked like it wasn't maintained at all. There was a big dilapidated bin of random trash that looked like it had been there for quite some time (site 3), a ton of cigarette butts, melted plastic pieces everywhere, etc. We even found an... adult toy about ten feet outside of the area of our site.

That being said, it was quiet, and you couldn't beat the scenery and nature once we cleaned up the area a bit. The sites are spread apart enough that it doesn't feel like your neighbor is on top of you, which was a huge plus.

Out of all the sites, 3 had the most privacy and had great views of the forest. If we decide to go again, we will definitely stay at this site. The other sites seemed a little bare and less private.

For the price, you can't complain too much. Just make sure to lock the gate behind you because by the many many signs posted, they're threatening to shut the sites down permanently if you don't.

    Camp Venice Retreat

    Nice campground

The location was lovely, and the camp host was wonderfully accommodating. However, considering the $80 nightly fee for waterside parking, I anticipated that the septic would be included. The heated pool was a pleasant amenity. While the bathrooms were clean, they would benefit from a remodel, and it was disappointing to find no handicap-accessible showers available.

Do your research - TT members be wary

Note: TT Encore does not mean a special upgraded park,

Per TT, Encore parks are ones that agree to hold several sites for TT members. We've come to understand the worst sites are set aside for TT members

Don't waste your money if TT and do research on what site you get if not This is the second worse Encore park we've visited

Booked this site 60 days ago for longer BUT left early as it was so bad One lane roads with 2 way traffic. If you have a big rig, it will be tight.

Our Site: Side and rear backs up to the park dump and supply site.

    Grass/dirt site.

Our front has 6 foot diameter sewer drum which is leaking vapor, picnic table over some access panel.

Some resolution could be had if a privacy fence was put up to shelter the view Surrounded by year round residents, some homes well kept, most not so much, some abandoned and trashed

I reached out to park manager and was after 2 hours and we already set up in 85 degree heat, there was 1 other site but it was just as bad.

We paid an additional$20 per night, I asked for a refund, response was Why? What did you expect?

They said to contact TT I contacted TT and they said they couldn't do anything, but I could file a complaint. Our neighbor was here 3 months, they said on Google earth the area behind us was a field at time of booking. Also told if they wanted to rebook for next year, they would have to have the same site! They aren't coming back either

ALSO at 630 am a crew decided to install an electric both beside the septic tank, pic ax, sawing metal and cement.

So much for our vacation stay

North loop has been sold to a private glamping company / ruined my wedding

I was planning on having my wedding here. I have had my spots reserved for 9 months. They called me TODAY, LESS THAN TWO MONTHS FROM MY WEDDING To tell me they double booked me with a 3rd party service that rents out the sites at a higher rate for glamping and are telling ME that I HAVE TO GIVE UP MY SITES. They have offered no help other than"move sites, get a refund, or re-reserve through that third party site at a more expensive rate."

Evidently the sites I reserved are no longer owned by the state, they're owned by the third party site through a contract. they're made into glamping sites and you cannot rent the site through anyone but the glamping company. They removed what was once a beautiful campsite from the general public and turn it into a"galmp site". How many other sites are going to be bought out like this? All the prime sites that were tent only in North loop are now EXCLUSIVELY glamping sites. If you like doing your own camping, you no longer have that option on the best spots in the park no matter how early you book.

I and my entire wedding party are beyond disappointed in how this has been handled. We are being turned away from over half of our reservations. This is so unprofessional and honestly should be illegal. They waited 9 months to notify me of THEIR MISTAKES and now, less than two months from my wedding, I have to scramble to notify my guests of the changes. I may even have to cancel my wedding because the sites seem to have already been rented through the 3rd party site and I don't want some random people in the CENTER OF MY WEDDING AND ALL ITS PHOTOS. And to top it off, they don't seem at all apologetic about ruining my wedding.

Great accommodations at a reasonable rate

The park w!s able to accommodate us on the 30ft tow along last minute. The space is clean, and neighborly. They have a pool, showers, laundry, library and gameroom area complete with billiards. I felt the showers could be hotter, but showered last and everyone else disagreed(traveliing with 3 others) so maybe it was just me or running out. Lol Overall the place has been a great stay so far.

    Meadow River Ranch

    Peaceful Indeed!

Had a marvelous time at the Meadow River Ranch.  The grounds are well kempt, with a thick, lush carpet of a St. Augustine and rye grass blend covering the acreage. Very quiet and peaceful. A great place to just “be”. My grandson and I tried our luck fishing in the canal.  Jeff was very accommodating.   Let us run our generator as much as we wanted.  Even let us run our dogs off leash for awhile.

We stayed at MRR in a self-contained RV, and as such had no need to use the outdoor toilet or solar shower, so I offer no comment on those facilities.

    Shellmound Campground

Located in Jasper, TN. This is a place to visit! Fair rates ($35/night) and great views. Friendly staff. Upkeep on bathrooms and showers. Very pleased with my stay here! The lot was a tight squeeze so if you’re not an experienced driver, you may want to request a different lot selection.

Well I called to reserve for the night. I was given a discounted $40 overnight rate. It seemed fair, but the conditions were underwhelming. I had to use the shower and bathrooms and frankly… it was a hole in the wall. The shower was literally just a hole in the wall! Had to walk carefully in the bathroom to avoid getting in contact with the disgusting conditions.

    Still in recovery mode

This is a nice camping location…or will be when they complete renovations. They are still recovering from hurricane damage, so there was some construction and noise. The spaces are pretty tight, but not as bad as other places. And they are staggered so it feels roomier. we had a nice site with a shaded patio. Also a misquote problem! Lots of misquotes and no see-ums. But the pool, boat ramp, playground, and dog park are all open. 2 dog parks! The laundry, hot tub, and camp store are still closed. It’s close to the Big Cypress Wildlife area, and an easy drive to Everglades National Park.

Nice Campground minus sewer dumping …

We just stayed for 5 days in September. We have stayed here before and had a peaceful stay. The mosquitos are a bit much and I live in South Florida, so if I’m complaining they are out in full force in this campground, which makes it hard to sit outside at night. The camp host that were on during my stay were out of control over bearing walking around and driving around looking for things to nitpick on campers. We have stayed here many times before and have never seen camp hosts doing what this lady and her husband were doing. Don’t get me wrong I think people at campgrounds should follow the rules, but they were a bit over the top “enforcing rules.” Other than that and the lack of sewer at each site this campground is a nice little gem in SW Florida.

Left us with no place to go 4th of July weekend

Rated 1 only because 0 isn’t an option. We were told we could extend our trip and there were plenty of spots available since it’s off season and the park isn’t even half full. I call to pay just to be told no there aren’t any spots available. I tell Jim I was told there were plenty of spots. “Oh well she doesn’t know what she’s talking about, she is new.” I asked if he just didn’t want us here. Well yes, there has been a violation. We were never even given a notification of violations (just asked for us to move extra vehicle, even though there was room on the pavement we just needed to park in overflow across the park. No big deal) My husband is covered in tattoos and he was judged. There is plenty of space here, they just don’t want us here. My husband is one of the most giving people who has handed his last dollar to someone who has needed it more…on more than one occasion. Don’t support this business. Jim should feel ashamed of himself. We’ve never received a violation for anything here and now have no place to go forth of July weekend.
