This camping spot is a free for all. Not check in or registration. Not water fill station or sewer dump and no water or electric on site. However if you are in the mood to go sleep by the lake and do some weekend fishing away from town this is a good spot.
If your looking for a weekend get away this is not the place. If you are looking for long term camper living this is the place for you. The sites dont have fire rings or bbq pits and they are very small and cramped together but what can you ask for. They do have a heated pool and are close to town since they are in the middle of it. Coin operated laundry and there is a day room
Sites are a bit tight if you have a larger rig but they are big enough. My family and I enjoy this campground. Rent a canoe from the ranger station to go down the estero river and see manatees and dolphins or take a stroll in the historic living area. There are plenty of gopher tortoises and armadillos around to see and every trip we have taken here we have seen at least 1 giant Easter diamond back rattlesnake!
Tgis place offers a nice fishing area and screened in community area by the bathrooms. However the bugs at this park are the worse I have ever encountered. It's like prehistoric times with teridactles coming in to suck your blood. I kid you not the mosquitos are that bad. If you have a good camping net room for around the picnic table you may make it out alive.
Towed down after season had ended so we easily got a full hook up spot by the water. The over flow full hook up spot is much nicer than the main area as the main area everyone is stacked on top of each other. Snorkeling was noce but the camp host was very rude. The bathroom a d laundry are was clean. Keep in mind that I have heard that this campground is not pleasant to go to from fall to spring because snowbirds come down and live here.
Great tent camping spot. Very clean showers and restrooms that are conveniently located. The beach is just a walk away with many hiking trails to walk or climb on rocks. Brooks is just down the road and offers some awsome local shopping options.
Great campground. If you have a chance head into garrison and do some shopping on their main street. They have some great shops there. The park is wonderful and the sites are roomy.
Although our site was not the best this place is very nice. The playground is great for the kids and the lake fishing is nice. There is also a water fill station to fill up you tanks.
This campground is nice if you can get one of the few electric sites on the water. They have a water fill station and the playground is located in the middle of the loop so it's easily accessible to every site on the north loop. The south loop area is more like a field with parking spots and the "grass" is covered with burrs so dont make the mistake of walking outside without shoes
Campground leaves alot to be desired. No privacy and sites are close to each other. Feals like a field with parking spots. There is a nice playground for the kids and the swimming beach is nice too but otherwise it's just a simple place to park the camper for a couple days
This campground is super close to Bismarck but far enough south of town to feel like you are in the middle of the woods. The sites are all spacious and all have small to large areas of grass. The pads are level. Very nicely kept campground
Great campground for the family. There is a nice restroom and each site is spacious. There is also a nice dump station available too.
