Camping at the Beach

We enjoy beach camping in San Diego County. We’ve camped at San Onofre and San Elijo many times over the years. This was our first stay at San Clemente. The camp site was pretty clean. It didn’t take much to clear a spot for our 4 man. We were opposite a bathroom with showers and the camp host.…

Lots of space and great surf!

California beach camping can be very hard to come by. Unlike some other campgrounds in Southern California this one gives you ample room to move around and set up camp. View Is Amazing

We stayed here in September 2020. The camp site is well maintained and the people were friendly. Showers and bathrooms were clean. The walk to the beach is steep. And the beach has pebbles. We had an awesome time. No regrets!

From Interstate 5 South Exit Ave. Calafia. Proceed straight onto Ave. Calafia. San Clemente State Beach entrance will be on your left side in ¼ mile. From Interstate 5 North Exit Cristianitos Road. Turn left and proceed over the freeway. Turn right onto Ave. del Presidente. Turn left onto Ave. Calafia. San Clemente State Beach entrance will be on your left side in ¼ mile.
