Macks Pines

This park is located in two areas on Lake Dardanelle, a 34,300-acre reservoir on the Arkansas River. The main site is in Russellville where you’ll find the Sport Fishing Weigh-in Pavilion, a fishing pier, swimming beach, boardwalk, trail, and visitor center with five aquariums, and the Lakeview Room meeting facility. Park interpreters lead a variety of programs and lake tours. There are 57 campsites in the Russellville area of the park (16 Class AAA, 14 Class AA, and 27 Class B) with 18 Class B sites in the Dardanelle area of the park.

The Buffalo is celebrating its 50th year since becoming our nation's first National River. As one of few remaining undammed rivers in the country, the River flows 151 miles to the White River.

OZK Cabins

The campgrounds feature a total of 125 campsites (including 26 pull-through sites). Thirty-five of the sites—the Class AAA sites—have 30 and 50 amp electrical, water, and sewer hookups. The 90 Class B sites offer 30 amp electrical and water hookups. All sites are reservable. Campsites are divided into four campground areas. Each includes a modern bathhouse with hot showers and flush toilets. Area "A" is near Lake Bailey and include sites along the lakeshore. Areas "B," "C," and "D" are located on the south side of Ark. 154 in wooded settings.

 Other campsite choices in the main camping area include a 44-unit Rally-style Area with 20 amp electrical service available for camping clubs. 

 A trailer dump station is centrally located near the Rally-style camping area.

 Petit Jean is Arkansas's only state park with its own airport.



Petit Jean State Park 

Choctaw Campground is located on the spacious Greers Ferry Lake nestled in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains. In the 19th century, a city named Higden flourished where the lake now rests. The city suffered from frequent flooding and as a result a man-made lake was created for flood control of the area. Today, the city's remains sit below the lake, enticing scuba divers and archeologists alike. Recreation Whether a visitor prefers boating, water skiing, fishing, swimming or scuba diving, Greers Ferry Lake has it all. The river tributaries keep anglers entertained, as they produce some of the largest walleye in the world; the record breaker was a whopping 23 lbs. In spring, the countryside becomes a photographer's paradise with wildflowers, redbud and dogwood trees in full bloom. Facilities Choctaw Park has 91 sites with electric hookups and 55 non-electric. Campers can enjoy the hot showers, group picnic shelter, boat ramp, playground, swimming area and public marina. Natural Features Greers Ferry Lake spans 30,000 acres of north-central Arkansas. The dam creating the reservoir stands at the foot of the beautiful Round Mountain, with water trickling through to the Little Red River. Nearby Attractions Explore the quaint historic towns around the lake for shopping and dining. Horseshoe Canyon Ranch

The Cove Lake Recreation Area is a perfect summer getaway and an ideal place to camp, picnic or recreate. It envelops the shores of a 160-acre mountain lake near the 2,700-foot-tall Mount Magazine, the highest point in the state of Arkansas. Recreation Popular activities include swimming, fishing, hiking, water skiing and scenic drives. A boat ramp is available and an on-site concessionaire provides boat rentals and other equipment available for purchase. The lake is home to catfish, large mouth bass, bluegill, sunfish, crappie and perch. It is stocked every other year, although a small amount of catfish are stocked annually and just prior to a yearly kids' fishing derby hosted at the lake. Facilities The recreation area provides picnic areas, campsites and a group shelter, as well as multiple activities, including miniature golf, canoe and paddleboat rentals. The campground offers multiple single-family sites for tent or RV camping. Each site is equipped with tables and campfire rings with grills. Accessible flush toilets, hot showers and drinking water are also provided. Multiple picnic areas are available on the lake shore, including a picnic shelter that has electricity. Natural Features The recreation area is situated in a mixed forest of mature trees and is located in the Arkansas River Valley in the Ozark National Forest. Nearby Attractions The recreation area is about 15 miles south of the town of Paris, in Logan County, Arkansas. We have been outfitting the Upper Buffalo River for over 33 years. We are a small, family owned business proud of our commitment to environmental stewardship of the Beautiful Buffalo River.

Lost Valley Canoe & Lodging offers canoes, kayaks, and rafting on the Buffalo National River. We provide vehicle shuttles for floaters and hikers. Come stay in one of our three unique cabins with hot tubs, the treehouse yurt, the bunkhouse, or primitive campsites. We recycle and use green cleaning supplies.

We offer quarter-operated shower available for campground guests and the public. Our Historic General Store has gas & groceries, along with a whole line of organic & local foods, arts, crafts, and souvenirs.  We also have gear and accessories for camping, river, and hiking.
