Wildcatter Winery

Accessible via historic Route 66, Wildcatter Winery provides overnight camping in a gravel parking area adjacent to a small vineyard. The private campground accommodates RVs up to 39 feet and typically supports just two camping units at a time. Reservations are available for $19 per night.

The main draw centers on the on-site wine tasting room, where visitors can sample locally produced wines and learn about the winemaking process from friendly hosts. Campers report mountain views from their sites and appreciate the privacy of staying on the winery property. The location serves as a convenient stopping point for travelers exploring Route 66 or heading between destinations like the Grand Canyon and Southern California. Crozier Ranch on Route 66 offers another Route 66 camping option further east.

Great stop , lovely wines and views

This winery is just of the 66 and a very nice stop on our way from Grand Canyon to Joshua tree. The hosts are very nice and not bottered showing how they make their wines. Loved the privacy of staying of the property with views of the mountains enjoying a winetasting

Perfect overnight stop on Route 66

We arrived at the perfect time, 5pm.   The Cella Winery was open until 6pm on this Sunday in March.   I believe we were the 2nd customer of the day at the winery and the only overnight camper.  I believe they only support parking for two campers.   The highlight of any stay here would be a visit to the wine tasting room.  The camping is a simple gravel parking lot next to a small vineyard.   As the only customer at the time the host was very friendly and did a great job in introducing the wines available.  We ended up purchasing a few bottles.    After a long day of travel from our home in Southern California this was a great stopping point on our trip to the Grand Canyon.  The following day, we continued to drive Route 66 and enjoyed the Burma Shave signposts along the route.   Staying at Cella Winery gave us a good excuse to leave the interstate and enjoy Route 66 for a few hours.  Highly recommended.
