It's a great place to camp for a night or stay long term.
LegendPoint A Campground Andalusia, Alabama This is a nice campground with very nice camp hosts and clean bath houses. We did not notice any long term campers. We had full hookups, wifi, cable, a fire pit, and a nice concrete picnic table on a partially gravel and red dirt and partial asphalt unlevel site. Our site was $40 a night without any added fees. They only accept cash and check. No deposit was required!! We had a water view, but plenty are on the water. We had shade. They have several large pull through sites without a sewer. A lot of the other campers had their boats and trailers and it looked like they were enjoying fishing and tubing on the lake. Plenty of children were swimming in the water at the end of the pier. The campground is pet friendly. Andalusia is a quaint, small town that is a little over an hour north of the Florida Panhandle. We enjoyed the 4th of July parade and they have several good restaurants.
GuideCamp sites have been renovated, all new gravel with railroad ties for retaining wall for the gravel. Sites are all 50/30 amp with water. Most of the sites are under shade. It is a small campground with only 20 spots and some are tight if you have a big rig, but there are pull throughs for the big rigs.
Staff was friendly and helpful.
Shower facilities were clean - at least mens.
I'd give it a 5 start but the dump station does not have the hose hookups for flushing your tanks, just draining. So be sure to fill up your gray tank to wash down he black excretions.
I'll return because it was enjoyable area.
GuideStayed December 2019 for a long weekend. The sites are all very nice with fire ring, lantern pole, picnic table, small counter height table, and concrete pad for your camper or tents. Ample additional parking available. Bathrooms were well maintained. We stayed in the Oakwood loop. River Chase loop has the best playground. Staff were very friendly. Several dump stations as well as a dog park. Would like some more hiking trails.

GuidePerfect place to stay for short or long term. Close to town but just far enough away to have peace and quiet. Had fishing ponds, waking trial, bath/laundry house and pool. We stayed a month with plenty of space.
ScoutNot a very big state park but it was very quiet and relaxing. Only about 20 sites total with a very nice restrooms and showers. There was also a spot to wash dishes. Alot of trees so plenty of shade. There are pull through and back in sites. Tent camping all the way up to class A. Water and electric but no sewer at site. There is a dump station. The falls and the lake were nice but depend on rainfall. We have been in a little drought so it was a trickle. There are fish in the lake but do not like to be caught. Swimming area at the lake as well. Some trails but not a bunch. Would definitely come back.
LegendArrived at guard gate and was welcomed by friendly staff. Quiet campground with waterfront site 8. Plenty of space between sites. FHU, level gravel, waterfront site with picnic table, fire ring, and grill. Felt safe, and across the street from bathrooms/laundry. Dated but clean. Woman’s bathroom with showers & bathroom stalls. 2 washers & dryers, as well as a folding table. No dog park, but plenty of nature, paved roads for walking, as well as easy to find, marked trails. 10 minutes to town, with restaurants and a few stores to pick up groceries & necessities. Playground is on the other side of the trails, as well as the boat ramp. Lots of wildlife. Would stay here again!
