CAMPER SUMMARY PRESENTED BYFord

Hams Fork Campground, near Lincoln, Wyoming, is a solid choice for those looking to enjoy the great outdoors in the Bridger-Teton National Forest. With a handful of designated sites surrounded by towering pine trees, it offers a nice mix of shade and a chance to soak up the sun.

This campground is known for its proximity to Hams Fork Creek, which is a hit among anglers looking to catch some trout. Visitors have mentioned the shared running artesian water and the two pit toilets, making it a bit more comfortable for your camping experience. As one camper noted, “The fishing is great, lots of little tributaries to fish,” which is a big draw for many.

While the campground is relatively quiet, some sites may feel a bit overgrown due to limited use. If you're up for a little adventure, there’s also dispersed camping available along the way up to the forest. Just keep in mind that the area can get windy at times, so be prepared for that.

Whether you're pitching a tent or parking your RV, Hams Fork Campground offers a laid-back vibe perfect for a weekend escape. With its natural beauty and fishing opportunities, it’s a great spot to unwind and enjoy the wilderness.

Grew up camping here

I grew up camping here and it’s one of my favorites. I swear there used to be garbages but now there are bear boxes which is great. Some the camp spots are over grown because they don’t get used much.

Ham's Fork Campground

This is our local go-to spot for weekend camping and we really enjoy it. About 16 camp sites with shared running Artesian water and two pit toilets. Ham's Fork Creek runs nearby with trout in it. Campground is in a pine tree area so some shade available, but also can be windy at times.  Some dispersed camping can be found on the way up to the forest.  It is about 45 minutes north of Kemmerer, WY.

Too flat

Not that great of scenery and it’s too flat so the wind gets at it too much

Great fishing!

Just off a dusty forest service road. The fishing is great, lots of little tributaries to fish. There is a pit toilet available. I'd recommend pitching a tent in the forest vs. camping here, although it was not busy, there are only a few sites at this campground.
