      Avery Rec Area- Columbia River Gorge

      My husband and I have stayed here 5x now for a total of 27 days... We love this little park, but this stay was disappointing as there are 3+ sites occupied by someone's junk left here without people... Hope someone can haul it off soon! Oh! The frequent trains running 24/7 might startle you awake as the tracks are 100ft away and they are required to blow their horn 2x before reaching the crossing 300ft away. But camping is an adventure 👍🤗

      Right off main road, with a few to choose from. Roads good, decent cell coverage. Decent place to stop over.

      White River West Sno-Park

      We like it

      We got in about 6 pm .Only 2 vans and a truck were here. Great view of mount Hood. We are in that top right hand corner. Looking forward to 2 or three days here.

      River is beautiful, trains are few, but ridiculously loud. View of Mt Hood down the center of the river is a nice bonus

      Relaxing site by the Columbia River Gorge

      Very easy to find and if the highway and train noise off in the distance don’t bother you, you’ll love it. Very spacious so you don’t have to be right next to anyone.

      When we were here mid September there was around 8-10 other campers/vans also here and it’s open enough you have an all the room you need.

      Columbia River outside of The Dalles right on the river

      Right off Hwy 84 great for a quick stop. Easy to pull into with any sized rig. Flat, level, clean and free. Vaulted toilets. Many spots right on the river. Lots of beach to run dogs and where kids can play. Beach is covered with the best skipping rocks. Only down side is you hear trains on both sides of you all night long. Would stay here again for a quick overnight stop.
