Town and Country Motorcoach and RV Resort

Great Stop After a Long Trip

We followed RV Trip Wizard south on I-5 straight to the campground (CG). At the stoplight next to Lowe’s, you simply continue straight into the resort entrance for check-in. Check-in was super easy and informative, and we were then escorted to pull-through Site 11 with FHUs. A standout feature here is that each long pull-through has full utility hookups on both sides. Sewer placement was excellent—neither too high nor too low—and the sewer cap even swivels to align with your hose(something we’d never seen before). The pad was long enough for our 40' toy hauler with the patio down, plus convenient parking for our F450. It was interesting that a CG this nice did not have picnic tables nor fire pits/barbecues at the sites. Connectivity was great: campground Wi-Fi delivered~49 Mbps down/ 44 Mbps up, while T-Mobile Home Internet hit 133 Mbps down/ 9 Mbps up. On the north side of the CG is a tree farm where dogs can roam off-leash. We were also able to receive packages—very helpful coming back from Alaska/Canada—and even had our vehicle washed onsite. An RV tech staying in the CG was available for repairs. The campground hosts and workers could not have been more accommodating—allowing package delivery, coordinating vehicle washing and RV repairs, and most of all not fertilizing our grassy site because of our 15-year-old pup. There is some road and occasional train noise, but nothing too disruptive. They were getting the shower houses and laundry building finished up while we were there. This is a very nice, newer campground, and we thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay.

    La Conner Marina RV Resort

    Decent Level Sites

Nice location conveniently located near the Marina, close to everything.

Premium sites are double wide and have a spot to park your RV AND Vehicle. Discount for Good Sam Club members.

Premium Sites $55 before discount (back-in only) Pull-through Sites $55 before discount Regular Back-in Site $45

All sites have Full Hookups, Picnic table & a minor grassed Area.

We stayed in a Premium site, enjoyed the view of the Fields behind us. Extremely quiet, open, not dusty. Downside, people don’t pick up after their Pets. We have two Shelties & think of others so we’re not the Culprits…

Otherwise, pleasant overall. Laundry accepts cards only which is extremely convenient since coins are hard to come by.

5G t-Mobile is 5-stars at our Site, it’s not listed as an option yet.

Hidden Village RV Park & Campground

Great price, very nice manager lady.

I rented a long term space here for over 2 years while working in Washington. Price was by far the best around. It's a very good sized place with spaces to accommodate even the largest trailers. Even when full there's room to maneuver.Full hookups, wifi, bathrooms, shower, laundry room, swimming pool. Has seperate parking for boats, utility trailers etc. Lots of big trees around for a fair amount of shade. Is pet friendly. Manager lady is very nice. Has a separate non power section for tents or dry camping. It's not the fanciest but for the price is great.

    Washington Park Campground

    Anacortes Camping

Great medium size campground surrounded by saltwater, short trails, and grassy picnic areas. Great views of islands and sunsets. Boat launch with large paid parking area. Walking distance to Skyline Marina for a variety of ocean activities. We went on a whale tour and encountered atleast 10 Orcas. Campground can be muddy in some spots. Mostly reservations, 14 day in advance, but there a a few first come first serve sites. Some with water and electric. Motorhome, trailers and tents. Some spots looked like they could handle 40 foot rigs. A couple longer pull throughs. Very shelterd anthrough. Not much good for solar. Showers and restrooms.

    North Whidbey RV Park

Clean, well organized RV Park for big rigs

We called early afternoon and asked if they had a space for that night for a fifth wheel with total rig length 53ft. Nice grass around all the campsites, 50 Amp electricity, water and sewer. Picnic table at every site. Lovely location but it can be noisy due to proximity to road and navy jets. Overall a great place I will stay again.

    Rasar State Park Campground

    Spacious Getaway

We just spent two nights cold weather camping here. It’s a beautiful quiet park with very spacious lots. There is not a lot to do besides hiking, but if you are looking for peace and quiet in the woods, this might be the ticket.

    Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park Campground

    Super great place to stay

Very clean, shaded, spread out campground. Family friendly so be weary of kids. Within walking distance to the lake with boat launch and beach. Toilets are clean with hand washing at the spickets nearby. Overall great place. No service whatsoever so be prepared. Campground claims to have Wifi but didn’t work. Lots of hiking and mountain driving nearby.

    Riverfront RV Park

Inexpensive and great for a one night

30 amp sites with water. Dump station was not on site. No showers but clean bathrooms. Traveling with friends and we were the only 2 RVs there except for a campground host. The host helped our friends replace a pin on a slide out.

    Deception Pass State Park Campground

    Cozy campsites !

There were SO MANY available campsites when we got there. About mid afternoon. The ranger was super friendly and welcoming! The bathrooms were nice and had showers that require tokens that you can buy with your site at check in. The sites vary in size and shape but most of them are decently private/ spaced apart. The site next to us never got booked, probably because it was small, but it was nice for us because it was only a few bushes away. Sites include a picnic table and fire ring with grill grate . There was a trail to the beach not far from us and it was super nice. Although there are plenty of signs that require dogs to be on leashes most people did not adhere to those rules, so keep an eye out if you're bringing the doggos. Very family friendly, very cozy, very nice stay!

Guide to Nooksack

Campgrounds near Nooksack, Washington provide varied accommodations in Washington's northwestern corner, 15 miles east of Bellingham. The area receives approximately 35 inches of annual rainfall with a typical camping season running April through October. While some campgrounds remain open year-round, winter camping requires preparation for temperatures that can drop below freezing.

What to do

Birch Bay beaches: Walk to warm, shallow waters directly from Beachside RV Park in Blaine. "Birch Bay just across the street. We were able to see some Canadian family in Blaine, while the border was closed, and stay nearby," shares one camper about this waterfront location.

Local hiking trails: Access walking paths and small nature trails around Thousand Trails Birch Bay campground. A visitor notes, "We enjoyed our stay. Our nephews came to visit and enjoyed the pool and small nature trails around camp. There is a lot to do around town all within biking distance."

Golf cart friendly exploration: Several coastal campgrounds near Nooksack allow golf cart transportation for local exploration. A camper at Beachside RV Park observed, "Quite little beach town that is golf cart friendly. We stayed over the July 4th holiday, and it was packed but not over the top."

What campers like

Private shower facilities: Many rv parks near Nooksack, Washington feature individual bathroom units. At Thousand Trails Birch Bay, "Bathrooms/showers are single rooms not shared, very private and sparkling clean," according to a recent visitor.

Landscape buffers between sites: Some campgrounds provide natural separation between camping spaces. At The Cedars RV Resort in Ferndale, "There are trees between every camp spot to add privacy. Best part is that the restrooms are clean and the showers are free," notes a camper.

Cleanliness and maintenance: RV facilities in the Nooksack area generally maintain good standards. One camper at The Cedars RV Resort appreciated that "Super clean restrooms. Big pool. There are several back in spots around the perimeter with a bit more room (length). I love the hedges between spots so you're not eating lunch at the table, staring at your neighbors sewer hose and power box."

What you should know

Site availability limitations: Many campgrounds near Nooksack operate on first-come, first-served basis for specific sites, even with reservations. A camper at Thousand Trails Birch Bay warned: "RED FLAG: First, they take reservations but do not reserve a spot for you; rv spots are first come first serve."

Tight spacing at some parks: Sites at certain RV parks can be extremely close together. A visitor to Thousand Trails Birch Bay observed, "2 phases for RVs - phase 1 spots are so close you could very well 'spare a square' of TP to your neighbor. Phase 2 has a lot more room to spread out."

Limited tent camping options: Most facilities primarily accommodate RVs with few dedicated tent sites. At The Cedars RV Resort, a camper discovered, "There are no actual designated tent sites, just a big open grassy area with picnic tables and fire rings but no distinguishable separation between sites and no designated spot for your car."

Tips for camping with families

Pool amenities: Several campgrounds offer swimming pools suitable for children. A visitor to Friday Creek Campground noted, "Well manicured. Not especially private. Benefits of this site are the facilities and the 15 minute drive to the ferry terminal."

Convenience to beach activities: Waterfront access provides family entertainment options. At Thousand Trails La Conner, "Bathrooms are kept clean, mini golf is fun, and the walks to 'Lone Tree' at sunset are amazing. The hosts are ALWAYS so friendly!"

Off-site attractions: The Nooksack region offers family activities beyond campgrounds. A camper at Thousand Trails Birch Bay mentioned, "You're sure to have a good time here. Lots to do here on site, but get out and explore the town."

Tips from RVers

Road access considerations: Some RV parks near Nooksack have challenging internal roads. A camper at Riverfront RV Park in Sedro-Woolley found, "30 amp sites with water. Dump station was not on site. No showers but clean bathrooms."

Dump station availability: Check whether onsite dump facilities are operational. At Thousand Trails La Conner, a visitor warned, "June 2023 dump stations and all campsite sewer hookups are down for maintenance. Nearest offsite dumps are 10 miles away."

Seasonal maintenance issues: Winter and spring camping may encounter infrastructure problems. A Thousand Trails La Conner camper reported, "Our last visit here there were many spaces where the electricity wasn't working and the dump station was out of order. We were quite disappointed."
