Quiet time

A nice respite after the crowds of the national monuments and parks. Quiet and sparsely used while we were here. A small amount of highway noise from 191 but very occasional. Deer wandering through in the evenings. Water spigots throughout campground allow for filling of water jugs. A few spaces…

Airy, uncrowded, peaceful

I'm not sure if the CG host ever came by, but our reserved site had our name on it, no problem, and all the sites seemed well spread out.  There was an RV in a site across the paved access road, but the CG was not at all full and the only nearby noise came from an occasional vehicle entering or…

  • Site worked well for privacy in a rooftop tent; the site had a large flat area and picnic table, but then the slope ran steeply downhill, which made the site seem larger and more private.
