Worth every penny

Being that we chose this camp site last minute is a total score. Large sites, full hookup options and 10 minutes from the beach. Camp host were very nice and accommodating. Some sites are close to the 33 highway so you will have road noise but we are used to Rincon. There is tent camping in the higher sites. Covered with plenty of mature trees for nice shade. Clean restrooms but no showers. Campground is very close to the Ojai-Ventura bike trail. Hiking trails all over and did I say 10 minutes from the beach!!! We stayed with our 2 toddlers/teen and had a blast. Only odd thing is that some sites hookups are backwards. No biggie. We just ran our lines under our rig. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice stay at Foster Residence

Tree covered campground with hook ups. Was very quiet when we stayed except some road noise. Close to the Ojai Valley bike trail.

Beautiful Campground & Convenient!

Awesome location and cheap for full hookups. Spacious sites. Bike path runs through the park that goes right into Ojai or Ventura. The path is in pretty good shape and makes for a fun weekend getaway! No cell service and no wifi at our site, but as soon as you hit the highway, our cell service came back so it wasn't a bother for us since it was a weekend. We will definitely stay here again when we are in town!

Just Ok

This place is ok, a handful of sites right off the road. Water available and full bathrooms as well. Most of the sites were somewhat slanted. It’s usually fairly busy and with road noise and noisy groups it’s not the most peaceful place to stay, especially for the price. Dogs are allowed, and it’s decently shady. Also close to a popular mountain biking path if your interested.

Local Favorite

Located right off highway 33 in Ventura California. This campground sits were the historical town of Foster Park once stood, which was torn down to build the highway. There are actually two campgrounds here separated by an abandoned road, Red Mountain and Foster Park residence campground. We stayed at the residence campground which offers some nice primitive tent sites. With lots of Boulders and old tables and abandoned buildings this campground was perfect. Foster park bowl, an old abandoned amphitheater is just a short walk away. Campground sits in close proximity to either Ventura or Ojai. The campground host was nice and friendly. All the tent sites were unoccupied so we were the only ones there which was great.

Quiant Campground

This campground is tucked away just off the main road, you would never know it’s there unless you passed by it. It’s very quiet here, there’s options for tent/RV set ups and has a history to it with remnants of monuments/etc throughout the campground. Toward the entrance it is much more modern, primarily with RV rigs but as you go further toward the mountain there’s an extremely woodsy tent area with handmade picnic tables that must be ages old, all under the most beautiful trees. Certainly worth a read and exploring, if you’re ever in the area! With trails wildly running through this area, there’s endless amounts of adventures to be had. Rates vary depending on sites, fire pits with grills are available at every site, RV sites have electric hook ups, there’s water available throughout and proper restrooms. There are no showers, no dumping station, no cell service, no store/market and a welcoming of local Mountain Lions and Black Bears (with no bear storage lockers). For all essentials I would recommend packing prior to settling in here and be prepared for all that nature brings, as you will certainly experience it! A fantastic place to explore!
