Love this place!

We love this campground and keep coming back. Zero cell signal, great sites, clean bath houses, tons of amenities, and close to the elk in Benezette!

Great park, ok campground

The park is great! The campground is only ok. Many of the pull thru sites are situated in the wrong direction with the electric hookup on the wrong side. The dump station is in a weird spot and the only water available is the same used for flushing. Nice camp store and super clean bathhouses but the layout of the campground needs work. Also, they just ram new electrical so there is a lot of mud and soft spots throughout the campground.

Very nice campground

First time here but found the campground to be quite nice. Sites were decently sized and some backed up to very beautiful evergreen forest. There are several hiking trails that depart right from the campground. One of them takes you right to the state game lands (29 I think?). I’ll have to remember that for future hunting seasons.

Nice small campground

The campground is small but it is quiet and clean. Route 31 is nearby but it wasn’t all that noticeable. There was a nice playground area for kids and some nice overflow tent sites nearby. Several pull thru sites are available along with some nice sites near the creek. My only complaint is that many of the sites are not level at all and take some serious work to get your rig level. The campground is close to many places in the Laurel Highlands which makes it convenient. Firewood is available 24/7 for $5 a bundle.

Great family vacation spot!

We had a blast here. Stayed in two different sites that weren’t the best but we were barely at them. We booked late so just got the last of what was available. Campground staff was nice and I love that they allow golf carts on the property! Easy access to the beach, especially with the golf cart and wasn’t crowded at all.

Great KOA!

We stayed here as an overnight stop but wish we could have stayed longer! Very cool campground, and the dog yard sites are awesome! Clean and friendly camp store, pool, fishing pond, and a lot of other amenities!

It serves its purpose

I’m pretty sure this place is used mostly as an overnight stop which is what we did. Owners were super friendly and helpful. The pool seemed to be popular with the kids. Sites are typically close for a KOA and they were not very level. Needed leveling blocks to get the camper level.

Great Place!

We had a great Father me Day weekend here. Great hiking trails, the beach is great for kids, good fishing, and close to the Benezette Elk Viewing Area. Will definitely go back!

Great campground close to home!

Our site had a great view of the sunsets and the water! The picnic table was a mess however. Most of the wood was rotten. We had a great time though and the mooring area for boats was very convenient.

Great State Park!

We stayed here for one night on our way back north. We got the last site available and it was pretty decent. Site 10 across from the bathhouse. The site was very level, as were most sites. Many have full hookups and several are right along the creek. The waterfalls are a short walk from the campground. Firewood is available and they deliver it to your site. The bundles are quite generous in size. We will definitely stop here again.

Gorgeous State Park!

We went here for the first extended trip in our new RV and loved it! Gorgeous park with all of the oak trees and Spanish Moss. The camp sites were spacious and level. Some of the cleanest and nicest bath houses I’ve ever seen. The bike trails and hiking trails are unreal and everything is so nice. Very close to Savannah and Tybee Island. We will definitely be back!

First time at a KOA

Stopped here for an overnight on our way south. We had a pull-thru full hookup site. It was relatively level but not perfect. Main bath house was under construction and not available. There is a bar, convenience store, and RV service center at the entrance which is convenient. We didn’t have time to look around the campground much but it served it’s purpose for us. Oh, there are no fire rings but it claims on their site that you can build one in the gravel. We didn’t see a single other site with a fire.

Great First RV Trip

We decided to go here for our first RV trip as it is close to home for us. Great first experience! We stayed at site 43 in the Hillside Loop because we brought our 2 large dogs. Site was very private and relatively flat. We did not use the bathroom facilities but they seemed nice. There is a lot to do in the park and the fact that it is very close to home means we will back again!
