Molalla Ripple
Description
Welcome to Molalla Ripple!
Enjoy the sound of the Molalla River rolling over the rocks. Wake up to birds chirping and tall trees swaying in the breeze. The campsites are sixty feet apart for privacy and one path leads to the river with two private beach areas to relax.
Jsm Ranch started in 2004 when we moved from Oregon City. This once was a working farm with two chicken barns and a meat locker barn. All had fallen into disrepair before taking ownership. In 2007 we planted 200 trees and 100 shrubs to build a new fish and wildlife habitat along Woodcock Creek. We then focused on building a fence along the Molalla River to protect water quality.
From there, we started raising Black Angus in 2008 after spending four years cleaning up the fields to make it safe for animals. We strive to be good stewards with our land as we continue to work with Clackamas Soil and Water to make better working lands.
You're only minutes away from the town of Molalla to grab a bite, groceries or other camp items. Also have Molalla Rodeo just 3 minutes away on July 1-4th. You won't be disappointed for a great breakfast at Tammy D's (Mulino, OR), sandwiches at Humble Pig or pizza at Bear Creek Pizza & Pub.
A. Potable drinking water is available at this listing. (Spigot)
We have fresh filtered water on the Northeast corner of our pole barn. Look for the sign marked "water" on your way down to the campsites. Dry hydrants have small filters to clean the water. More hydrants to come.
B. Campfires are allowed at this listing. (Firepit, Private)
We have a safe, steel fire ring to enjoy evenings by a crackling fire. The fire rings have a small, adjustable grill attached for cooking. We currently have a burn permit through the Oregon Department of Forestry for all four sites until we reach extreme conditions. Should we reach extreme conditions we have a pellet stove that puts out 90,000 btu with a 12' heat radius. The timber stove has spark arrestors.
Be fire-safe.
C. A toilet is available at this listing. (Portable toilet)
We have three new portable toilets. Easy to use from the river to campsites. We ask that you don't use our campsites and woods as your bathroom if found, we will charge for cleanup $100! No need when our bathrooms are cleaned weekly and monitored between cleanings. Thank you, we strive to make our place safe and clean for others to enjoy.
D. Pets are allowed at this listing. (On leash)
In or on the river your pup shall be leashed. Our pastures can be rented by the hour through Sniffspott named Molalla Ripple Dog Park. This is the only area where your pup can run off-leash. We ask that you pick up after your pet. Let's keep our sites clean and safe for other families. We may start charging a clean-up fee if campers can't clean up after their pets. Who wants to step in a mess or smell it? We will charge $50 for waste left behind. Please don't be that camper.
E. A shower is available at this listing. (Hot water)
New shower stall. Between the Porta Potty's Gray in color.

CAMP RULES!!!!!!!!
- Please no glass in the river.
- Please keep noise to respectable levels after 10:00 pm.
- Please respect our neighbor's property to the North of campsite seven and stay on the same side of the sign reading "END OF HIP CAMP." Beyond the sign is trespassing on private property. Thank you.
- The Molalla River has high flow during the spring so please use caution around the river with small children. The river flows at its lowest in July and August making it more suitable for recreating in the water.
- Check out before noon.
- Please NO vehicles on the river path or beach areas.
*WARNING* This is a working farm with livestock and electric fences throughout the property.
- We ask that you use the river path and not go over the bank from your campsite. Help stop erosion on the bank. During high river flows we get a lot of trees deposited on the bank. This makes it hard to get down to the river and unsafe.
*WARNING* During high wind some debris may come down from our trees. We try to remove loose branches when we find them.
- Please If you find a gate closed, close it after going through it. Thank you!
No diving into the river or creek.
Please use the clean bathrooms provided. No need to use the woods or campsite as your bathroom. Thank you, let's keep things clean and safe for others to enjoy!
No lifeguard on duty. Let's play it safe put your life jackets on.
Slow down keep the Dust Down. We have young children and free-range animals around the house.
No chopping or cutting of live trees.
Please don't go past the sign marked at the end of the HipCamp property sign. Also please don't use their beach area downriver. We strive to keep good neighbor relations.
