Best RV Parks & Resorts near North Java, NY

North Java provides multiple RV accommodations, including Jellystone Park of Western New York with 229 sites featuring full hookups, 50-amp electrical service, and both back-in and pull-through options. Skyline RV Resort operates from May to mid-October and accommodates large motorhomes with full hookup sites including 50-amp service. Southwoods RV Resort in Byron offers paved pull-through sites and gravel back-in sites with 50-amp service from May through October. The RV sites at these parks vary from spacious to somewhat close, with most providing fire rings and picnic tables. "Most of the roads in the park are paved with the exception of the pull-thru section in the front of the park which is gravel. All campsite pads are gravel except for three long pull-thrus that are paved," noted one visitor.

Several parks in the region maintain gated entry systems and require advance reservations, particularly during summer weekends and fall foliage season. Dump stations are available at most facilities, though Six Flags Darien Lake Campground often experiences lines during peak checkout periods. Cell service varies considerably throughout the area, with stronger signals closer to major highways. Many campgrounds close for winter between late October and early May due to heavy snowfall. Pet policies differ between facilities—Skyline and Southwoods allow pets with proper documentation, while others maintain breed restrictions. Propane filling services require trips to nearby towns as on-site refills are limited, and RV repair assistance is available at select locations like Skyline RV Resort which maintains an on-site service center.

    Evangola State Park Campground

Some Sites Have a View of Lake Erie

    Unfortunately, my site did not.

However, my site wasn't crowded and the electricity was reliable. This campground has three loops. One has 30 amp power, one has 50 amp power (with a 30 amp outlet on the same pedestal) and the third loop is for tent camping. There are several places to get water in the camp, so be sure to fill up your tanks before you park. There is a dump station. None of the sites are full hook up.

Each site has a picnic table and a grill.

There are two bath houses. The newer one - between loops one and three - also has laundry facilities.

Your payment for your campsite entitles you to admission to the beach, which is a hike or a drive away.

    Cinderella Motel & Campsite

Basic, Convenient, VFM (value for money)

This campground is very basic with very close campsites.  The bathhouse and laundry are old but clean.  The staff were very friendly and helpful.  It is very close to Niagara falls and for the money it is the best campground here.  KOA and Branches CGs are nicer but they are also triple the price which for us did not seem worth it.  We were in a back in gravel site that backed up to the motel which may not seem that nice but the electric, water and sewer worked perfectly.  Our 40 foot MH and Toad fit with room to spare.  There were sites that were on the outskirts of the property that backed to the woods which some people may prefer.  Those sites were just as close although there were several that would take big rigs bit don't expect to open your awnings in most sites.   There is a nice grassy area in the center with a small covered pavilion.   There are a few sites on the side/front of Motel.  We were here to visit Niagara Falls so location and a basic campground with full hookups was all we were looking for and this campground fit our needs perfectly.  We would stay here again.

    Niagaras Lazy Lakes Camping Resort

    Clean & Friendly

We have camped here several times. Bathrooms are very clean along with the showers. They are cleaned on a daily basis. Store on site has just the bare amenities. Big clubhouse, 2 heated pools and a pond to fish (catch & release). Sites are big. Pet friendly. Staff are very friendly. 10-15 minutes from Niagara Falls and close to stores. It does have 2 on site laundry facilities but the dryers take a while. Enjoy going there.

    Darien Lakes State Park Campground

    Clean/Quiet Campground

9/25-9/29/22- The park was nearly empty, perhaps 6 or 8 other campers widely spread out. It was immaculate and the sites well spaced apart. All site have a picnic table and fire pit. Ours had both 30A and 50A power, was pretty level left/right but about 6” high in front before we leveled our 34’ fifth wheel. The park has drinking water faucets at a variety of places throughout, but site#15 has a faucet directly next to it, so we had water available too. Both AT&T 4G and Verizon 5G had 3 bars reception. The dump station was clean and convenient. It looked like a great place for kids that included at least one (probably more) playground.

    AA Royal Motel & Campground

An old campsite that fits our needs

This is not a resort campground nor is it a campground built for escapism. It’s very close to Niagara Falls, the Rainbow Bridge (for driving into Canada), and Buffalo, NY.

Mike is very friendly; check in was easy. The sites are full hook up or w/e only. There are pull throughs and back-ins, 30amp and 50amp sites. Your site is assigned once you arrive. You pay a deposit when you book and pay the rest when you arrive.

They have Good Sam and weekly discounts and I was also given a cash/check discount. So our total was $51 a night for a week’s stay.

The sites toward the front are definitely more level and have better cell service, but the sites toward the back are better shaded. Cell service and wifi was enough for me to work during the week and stream at night.

The facilities could use some work. They are very old, and it’s hard to tell if they are clean or just old. Laundry is available - $2.50 a wash/$1.75 a dry.

Basically, don’t expect a beautiful vacation campground. I work full time remotely from the camper. I was able to work during the days and get to Niagara Falls, CAN, and Buffalo quickly after work. Even with the discount, which I’m thankful for, it is overpriced for what it is. But it served my needs, I felt safe, and the owner was friendly so 3 stars. With some TLC to the sites and the facilities, I’d give it 4.

    AA Royal Motel & Campground

    Good location

This campground is open year around which is really hard to find in this area. We needed to come here for personal reasons before any other campground was opened. So far this isn’t bad could be better/ cleaner.

It is 50 amp full hook up with free Wi-Fi that doesn’t suck.

The site are paved level back ins and pull throughs

The staff was nice enough. Haven’t had much interaction with him.

There is a great Italian store right across the street and Niagara Falls down the road. I would stay here in a pinch again

    Niagara County Camping Resort

    Niagra County Camping Resort

Arrived late at night to this established site. This is a mixed accommodation campground with established long term residents & short term sites.

Some sites include a table, power access and tire rim for fire-ring. Showers & flushing toilets are near RV sites in back area. Small camp store, swimming pond & fishing pond. Manager, Christine very nice & helpful.

Campground is relatively close to scenic drives along Lake Ontario & Niagra State Park, Niagra Falls.

    Colden Lakes Resort

    Beautiful Campground

This a beautiful campground with very friendly staff. Our site was a level gravel back in site. The back in sites are very wide and roomy, the pull through sites are a little closer together. There are 4 small pristine lakes. It’s about an hour from Niagara Falls and out in the Country, very quiet and peaceful. Would definitely come back

Guide to North Java

North Java camping options exist in the rural agricultural region of western New York, approximately 35 miles east of Buffalo. The area experiences hot summers with temperatures averaging in the 70s-80s°F and cold, snowy winters with average snowfall exceeding 100 inches annually. Most campgrounds in this region operate seasonally from May through October due to the significant winter precipitation.

What to do

Amusement park access: Six Flags Darien Lake Campground offers direct access to the theme park with admission sometimes included in camping fees. "This is a large campground. Walking distance to the theme park. Campground fees include admission to the theme park," notes camper Mary H.

Water activities: Multiple campgrounds feature swimming options for summer visitors. At Jellystone Park of Western New York, campers can enjoy "Water park, fishing, kayaking, swimming. It has it all," according to Matthew M. The park also added "a beach to their pond and allow swimming," as Amy T. mentions.

Holiday celebrations: Special event weekends draw crowds to regional campgrounds. Jellystone Park hosts "the best fireworks for July 4 and their Halloween weekends are full of fun and fright!" says Amy T., making these popular booking periods for families.

What campers like

Clean facilities: Campers consistently mention well-maintained bathrooms and grounds as highlights. At Southwoods RV Resort, visitors appreciate that "Bathrooms were very clean. Quiet campground. Lots of plays areas for kids," according to Sydney W.

Helpful staff: Personal attention from campground owners receives frequent praise. At Southwoods RV Resort, campers mention "Family friendly park, lots of activities, park hosts/owners are hands on and awesome," as Cheryl M. notes. Another camper, Rich L., states, "The owner took us around on a golf cart to show us how different some areas are within the campground."

Recreational amenities: Many campsites provide additional recreation beyond basic camping. Southwoods features "2 well kept pools, playgrounds, laundry facilities, mini golf, soccer, basketball," according to Hope C., offering structured activities beyond natural settings.

What you should know

Site spacing considerations: Site proximity varies significantly between campgrounds and depends on timing. At Red Rock Ponds RV Resort, one camper noted, "It was kinda close to other campers. Geared toward more seasonal campers," highlighting the predominance of permanent sites.

Seasonal operations: Most campgrounds in the region close completely during winter. Operating seasons typically run from early May through October, with specific opening and closing dates varying by property. Southwoods operates from May 1 to October 31, Six Flags Darien Lake from May 10 to October 31, and Skyline RV Resort from May 2 to October 13.

Noise factors: Several campgrounds have noise considerations beyond typical camping sounds. At Six Flags Darien Lake, campers mention "There was a train track close to camping" and describe it as "loud and not very relaxing," particularly during concerts and peak park days.

Tips for camping with families

Activity scheduling: Plan around peak usage times for amenities. At Jellystone Park, "the water area always seems to be over crowded and never enough room for sitting," reports Erica L., suggesting morning or late afternoon might offer better experiences.

Cost expectations: Budget for additional activities beyond camping fees. Maple Lane RV Park offers "Free putt putt" according to visitors at other parks, but most activities require additional payment, especially at theme park-adjacent properties.

Weekend planning: Book well in advance for summer and fall weekends. Jan F. notes how they found Maple Lane when "Campground there was booked, and we preferred not to drive home," highlighting the need for reservation planning during peak season.

Tips from RVers

Service availability: Some campgrounds offer on-site RV repairs. At Skyline RV Resort, "They have a repair shop on site," notes Paul G., providing emergency service options for technical issues.

Site configurations: Research specific site types when booking rv parks in North Java, New York. At Skyline, one camper mentions, "The map was not correct and we did not have sewer hook up at the sight. The dumping station was free or included," suggesting verification of amenities upon arrival.

Site surface types: Most rv campsites near North Java utilize gravel pads with limited paved options. Southwoods features primarily gravel sites with the exception of "three long pull-thrus that are paved" according to camper reviews, which may influence your site selection based on weather conditions.
