We had 50 amp, full hookups and stayed for a week. Stable power, good water pressure and threaded sewer connectors. The sites are level, decently spaced and easy to access. The wonderful lady that runs the place (Marti) is warm, friendly and very appreciative of business. If you’re in the area, I recommend staying here. If you’re close by, I’d recommend the same!
Nice place! Great views! It's a quite place with a gathering hall to watch TV or charge your devices if need be. I would definitely stay there again!
Very clean campground with many spots to camp overlooking the lake. Good bathrooms too.
We stayed overnight after hiking the Tolby Creek Loop nearby the campground. Pleasant shady place with occasional highway noise. No cell service.
Really like this KOA. At first thought it was out of the way but really like it. Just off I25. Nice Big Rig friendly. Some of the sites I went by thought was not level but then you look closer the pad itself was very level. Nice pool.
Easy road in from I25. Basically a big level parking lot with sites on the outer loop that easily accommodate big rigs. One side has a view of the mountains. The other side has a view of the forest and creek. No power. No water hookups but there is a central spigot that can be used to refill. No black dump anywhere in the park. Good Verizon and T-Mobile signal. Cool weather even in July. Despite the negatives I loved the area. NOTE - most park trails are closed until the end of July due to calving season.
Easy easy in and easy out. Great spot to ride motorcycles out do not select sites near toilet.
This is your quintessential mom n pop RV stop in all the right ways. Owners are super helpful in guiding us to our site (which is necessary as there are some spots that are a tight squeeze). They have a great restaurant attached that we utilized for breakfast. They have live music on Friday and Saturday nights, and a farmers market that set up on property on Wednesday if i remember correctly. A lot of full time residents and everyone was so lovely and helpful. Eagle Nest Lake is literally across the road and a wonderful trail to walk or bike. We definitely will stay here anytime we are back in the area.
We stayed here 1 night on our trip back to Texas from Colorado.
Plenty of room for several rvs/vans and tent campers. Picnic tables and trash bins available. No shade, no potable water, no electric, no sewer. True boondocking site. There are pit toilets at the entrance to the camping zone. Roads are gravel and well maintained.
Great site for a touch-n-go overnight stay while traveling.
We stayed here in June for two nights. The days were warm, but the nights were lovely. We were in spot 53 which was a long pull through, but very narrow and close to the neighboring spots. We were lucky that they were not reserved so we had a little more room. We were glad we were in the trees due to the daytime temps. If you need a large spot, 1 through 7 have a nice view of the valley, but no trees. Resident and neighboring dogs and cats roam throughout and may come visit your campsite. The county road to the campground is nice and quiet and makes for a good place to go for long walks.
Very large rv park with full hookups, showers, laundry, and community building. Was not busy when we were here, so we did not have anyone next to us, but the sites are very close to each other. The lake and boat launch are just down the road. Set off the main highway enough that you don't hear alot of traffic noise. Staff were very nice and accommodating. Wonderful views of the mountains.
Great location about half way between Albuquerque and Colorado Springs. I snuck in late one night and napped 2 hours near the pit toilets and left before daylight, so as not to disturb the campers with my brief stay. Pit toilets a plus of course. Can be frosty.

Easy off/on I25. Campsites are spread out with trees separating sites. The only bad is water pressure; very low. We slowly filled tank and used our pump.
The campground is very basic with few amenities or points of interest. Nice bathrooms. The biggest issue was the intense highway noise and light from the nearby billboards. A night spot was the nice breakfast available and friendly host.
Just northwest of the town of Springer, the lake is also stocked regularly with rainbows, and bullheads are also taken.
Play elastic man game while enjoy its beauty.
The campground has been open since March! The campground is open from March 1st until October 31st each year! Please correct your information in the heading to reflect the campground is open!
Привет, где вы играете в казино а как долго? Я хочу узнать для себя новое казино и попробывать что то новое
Привет, я хочу услышать как вы относитесь к казино и мне интересно где вы играете ?
Cute campground and they are doing a lot of work to the streets and tent sites. However, as others have said, the electric hookup RV sites are right on top of each other. We were awakened on the middle of the night to our neighbor’s son coughing and crying. They do have electric and water (one spicket shared between 2 sites). The water is very low flow. They have an RV dump area with water in the non electric camping area. There is a cute 1 mile trail to the mountain being the coyote creek.
Campground is very scenic and the river is directly behind us so you can hear that babbling brook sound - I love that! Our site is a bit small for our camper (25 ft) but we made it work. No hookups and no water but we have solar. It’s been 80s in the day and 50s at night which is amazing. I have one bar with T-mobile cell phone so I can text and get a little internet - enough to stay connected with the world. Great campsite!!
I had been boondocking up in the mountains in the rain all week and needed FHU to recharge.
Can't remember the price I paid, but it was very reasonable. Minutes from state park, lake access, and Eagle Nest. Close to Angel Fire as well.
Owner was super nice and invited me to come to the clubhouse for some chili - which was excellent!
Views were shockingly good. Because of the weather I felt like I was in the Scottish highlands or something, not New Mexico lol.
Could use this as a stopover or a legit home base to explore surrounding areas.
Highway 64 between Taos and Angel Fire > Turn onto Forest Rd 5 and go to end
Solid road, no issue with 25ft travel trailer.
There's a gravel cul-de-sac with a couple obvious places to camp. Also a couple two tracks roads continuing into the woods, but those weren't passable due to mud.
There's a few small ponds which appear to be the beginning of the Rio Fernando. I think there's some restoration work going on if I'm not mistaken.
I tried parking so that I was looking out at the clearing, but this made levelling my trailer pretty difficult. Probably would be easier to just keep in on the gravel.
I somehow had 5g reception here on Verizon, and Starlink also worked well.
Great location for an overnight stop. Right next door to Walmart and Village Inn pancake house. Good pull through sites, so easy in and out. Quiet.
One of the best RV parks we've ever stayed at. We'll maintained. Easy in & out set up. Helpful, friendly staff. Beautiful scenic location surrounded by the Rockies. Only drawback is I-70 west of Denver.
I love Coyote Creek! I love that it has covered and partially enclosed picnic tables. We have been coming for years and they seem to keep improving the park. Always is clean. The camp host was friendly and helpful. Will be back in July. We were there in May 2023. Love having the river close. Glad that they have electric sites other than the loop.
This is a good spot for a quick, free overnight
