Lake Lincoln Campground — Lincoln State Park

    Very nice!

Lincoln State Park in Southern Indiana. About as far South as you can go! (In Indiana!). We did a weekend visit.

150 electric sites. There's 30 & 50 Amp sites with water at each site!

6 handicap sites. There are NO pull through sites.

The best sites are by Lake Lincoln- 40 & 41. 39 is ok, but all 3 of these sites are in the sun most of the day. Also, 40 & 41 are not ON the lake. Trail 1 & a wide grassy area are before the water. The only advantage IMO is an unobstructed view of the water & a short walk to the lake.

The sites seemed short, but people were able to park very large rigs in them. Check the site dimensions before booking or call the office to make sure you'll fit.

There's a large primitive campground. They have a modern bath house with showers. Some cabins.

There's 2 bath houses in the electric side with flush toilets & showers. Very clean for a state park!

      A double dump station.

6 trails from easy to moderate. The longest is 3.7 miles.

Boating & fishing are popular, but electric motor only. There's boat rental.

There's a beach, but closed after Labor Day. The camp store is in the pavilion by the beach & has limited hours after Labor Day.

      There's a small nature center.

Lots of history in the park & in the area. Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial is directly across the road from the state park

. Santa Claus Indiana& Holiday World are nearby.

    Lynnville Park

    Great little municipal park

Registration was easy on the town website. My camping spot was right on the lake and it was beautiful. I would definitely camp here again. There was some road noise, but that's to be expected due to being close to a highway and it wasn't too much for me. I slept just fine.

    Great park

We had a great experience with the park itself. The grounds were very well maintained with trails, playgrounds, and picnic areas. We were there on a Sunday night and were the only campers in the park.

The star I knocked off was for the pit toilets. They had not been limed in a while as evidenced by the bugs swarming inside the pits and larva swimming in the bottom. If I didn’t have a portable travel potty of my own, I would have not given even four stars. I may not have camped here.

    Grayville KOA Grayville IL

    Excellent KOA in Grayville I-64

We stayed here on the way to and on the way home from The Kentucky Bourbon Trail. It is a fairly new KOA with so many enjoyable amenities, family fun, food, ice cream, mini golf, full hookups and shady spots if you ask for one. We want to go back and stay at a patio lot with a swing. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nearby services, fuel, farm store, etc.

    Poor management oversite

I have tried to contact corporate and been ignored.. We  stayed at the Rudolph campsite in Santa Claus Indiana like I stated before we would like a refund for one night and one night of the golf cart as we wound up leaving.  the toilet seat was cracked, which pinched me and one of my Children left marks, there were also mouse droppings in the drawer where the silverware was and stains on the sheets. I have pictures of all this and since nobody has contacting us, I will give it until Monday morning and then I will have my attorney contact them with all the pictures since they don’t want to do anything about this and then I will also be posting with the Better Business Bureau and attaching all the pictures.

    Diamond Lake Resort Campground

    Diamond Lake Resort Owensboro, KY

I once gave this locarion a 5 star review that I've since deleted. This was our 3rd visit. With new owners, much cutback on staff and available hours for activities. Why oh why do you close a main attraction, go carts and pizza, during the week and cut hours of go carts when they ARE open??? I'd been communicating with stsff and had expressed our grandson's excitement to return to the go carts. THAT was the perfect opportunity to tell me o substantially reduced hours. This campground caters to seasonal campers. They don't all respect quiet hours are zipping around on golf carts partying. We won't return.

    Older campground

Smaller campground with many older run down campers that are likely full time living here. All sites are pull through, and within 2 feet of the drive. Good spacing between sites, I didn’t feel like I was right up on my neighbors

    Scales Lake Park

    Excellent Park

What a gem of a park! From the stunning trails to the pristine lake, this place is a nature lover's paradise. The shower facilities are top-notch, ensuring a comfortable stay for all campers. One thing to note is the strict parking rule at camp sites, but don't worry, there's overflow parking available for visitors. It's enforced for everyone's safety and convenience. The highlight for many is the petting zoo—an absolute must-visit for campers of all ages. It's a fantastic experience that adds an extra layer of fun to your stay. While there's no on-site camp store, fret not! You're just a short drive away from a local dollar store and the famous Tastee Freeze. Trust me, their ice cream is out of this world, and the food is equally delightful. I highly recommend treating yourself to a visit. Overall, this park offers everything you need for a memorable camping experience. Can't wait to visit again!

    Peaceful But Plain

A very peaceful place to camp with helpful rangers. There was a free petting zoo which was great but the animals seemed very discontented. The trails were interesting but vacant of trail markers and some plaques were vandalized from years before. Firewood is $8 a bundle and parking is $3 a day. Well priced and serene, but I would recommend this for people without children or someone looking for a camp away from any kind of excitement.

    Peaceful

This is the place to go if you really want to camp without the modern convenience of water and electricity. Which in my mind is perfect because it's usually just one maybe 2 people if that

    Quiet, friendly family camping

Campground was nice and quiet, well maintained. Has paved level pads, some slightly sloped. Shaded and sunny areas. Showers were very hot, toilets clean. Great place for fishing in Dogwood Lake.

    AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE

Needed to make a reservation for my husband who travels for work. Checked their website for cancelation policy and there isn't one.  They don't take credit cards and requested one month's deposit plus a deposit for electric. Sent a cashier's check for$750.00, 4 weeks prior to arrival date. One week later, we contacted them to advise we would not be coming. Refunded the$200.00 only. Very disappointed, said they" never dealt with something like this before" but had NO problem keeping an entire month's lot fee. Think long and hard before booking here. It's 2023 and EVERYONE utilizes credit card payments.

Reservable don’t depend on first come

We researched and though a fair bit of the forest was first come first serve. After stopping at many along the way we wound up here at Jackpine snagging up the last site electric site available. The fees were a bit more than listed as well 28.00 per night or 18.00 for seniors / interagency pass holders. I assume the info we found multiple place including from here is just outdated.

Good spot to car camp or park next to your tent. Bathrooms have vault toilets, but were clean. Nice stargazing.

Saddle Lake Campground — Hoosier National Forest

    Average National Forest campground

13 total sites, 2 of which are tent/primitive only and set 50ft or so back into the trees. No electric or water. A single vault toilet of average cleanliness, but was stocked with 6 partial rolls of tp. Tent pads are all flat and level, but parking pads are definitely not. It's all gravel roads including the "Saddle Lake Road" entrance all the way from Old State Road 37. There is a parking lot and boat ramp further down the hill at the lake, but state law does not permit swimming from the shore without a designated beach. $5/night fee paid by honor system drop box near camp entrance.
