We had spot 234, big, wooded, close to clean shower house, close to playground. State park is great hiking. Avoid the inner part of that loop if you want any shade, it is an open area.

We stayed for a long weekend. Large group set up in sites 236-244. Great shaded area. Lots of play space for the kids.
Stayed Spring 2021. Site 108 is clean, level and well groomed. Close to bath house facilities.
I love this place. The campground is pretty packed but with hiking as good as they have, I’m not surprised. I’d definitely do some hiking and I recommend canoeing sugarcreek as well.

Well maintained trails and campground. We love everything about this place.
This is a Great Park, my wife and I camp here all the time. Large sites, because they are very wooded lots of shade, not far from downtown, also close to shopping (i.e. Walmart, Meijer). Lots to do in the park as well, fishing, archery, bike riding, canoe/kiak dock, and lots of very nice trails for…

We have stayed at McCormicks multiple times. We really enjoy it! It isn’t too loud, lots of shade and plenty of things around to keep the kids happy.
Granted we arrived after some heavy rain (I guess), but it was tough to get around without walking thru mud. Taking the dogs out for their business you came in with a filthy animal. The sites were really tight and it was tough moving around the campground with a 41ft 5th wheel. Saw other…
Clean and friendly staff
Really great hiking! We had 2 sites. # 181, 182. Tip: Don’t leave any food out at night. Raccoons own the campgrounds! Stole our bag of marshmallows from the picnic table while we were making s’mores! Hilarious!

We stopped for one night on our trip from DC to southwestern CO. We pulled in there at about 11pm. The ofc was closed, but the instructions were clear enough that we found our site (We’d booked online on our way there) and quietly set up. We woke this morning at 8 to donkeys braying which was cool.…
Great trails and amazing primitive camp sites. Set apart from others so you can have family time!!! Recommend it.
**The campsites are so close to each other no privacy, there was a camper on both sides of us and we were in a tent when we arrived one neighbor had all there stuff (bicycles, dog, dog accessories, all in our spot, and they had helped thereselves to our picnic table, we saw a couple open spots next…
Quiet, heavily wooded campground. We arrived well after dark and had a bit of a time finding our site, but once we were set up it was very quiet. Parking spot was paved.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHECKING ON THEIR WEBSITE TO SEE IF PART OF THE ROADS ARE CLOSED DUE TO CONSTRUCTION. THEY HAVE ALTERNATE…
