Very Nice Campground

We stayed in tent site 19. I think it is definitely the best site in the campground. Sites 19 and 20 are a couple of the only sites with any privacy. Site 19 is a walk in (down) but the site itself is huge and the tent platform is built out on a rock outcrop. Overall the campground is nice but the other sites are very close together. The rangers/camp hosts came by while we were gone to warn us about bear activity in the campground, you do need to be careful with food. We went to see the moonbow so it was fairly busy while we were there. We also took a hike to Eagles Falls where it seems to be clothing optional swimming…lol It didn’t bother us but just an FYI. We had a very relaxing 3 days at Cumberland Falls, would definitely recommend it.

Very nice campground

We stayed in site 93 in the lake view area. The campsite itself was large and clean. The bathrooms were clean and fairly close to the campsite. The “lakeview” title is a bit misleading as there is a view of the lake but it is largely covered by trees. Wish there was a park ranger presence there to ask loud guests to keep it down past quiet hours, but never saw a ranger the entire time. There was a trail that led down to the lake but it was steep and a bit hard to maneuver. If there was an access set of steps to get to the lake it would be much nicer for guests with limited mobility. Over all we would stay here again.

Loud, Crowded and Dirty

Nothing that positive to say about this place. It was really crowded and the campers stayed up all night talking, screaming and listening to music. The bathrooms are so nasty! Unless you walk to the ones all the way in the front entrance, the rest that were close to us were always gross. We lucked out and got a spot on a dead end section of road that you would think would be a bit quieter, yet Sunday morning was a parade of golf carts as the seasonals drove up and down looking to take firewood that people left. The only good thing that came out of all this was I know not to stay here again.

Overall very nice campground

We stayed in a tent in the lower loop of the campground. We went looking for synchronized fireflies that live in the area…unfortunately we did not see any. However, the bathrooms were clean, our site was cozy and the sky was so clear. I can’t think of anything negative to say about Lolita except maybe the flush toilets are about a 3-5 minute walk from the lower loop…but I like to walk so it was not an issue for us.

Love Bear Run!

We loved camping at Bear Run so much we bought an old trailer and we now park it there year around. Every weekend there are activities, there is a heated pool and Friday night Bingo. A great place with even better people! The restrooms are clean and the general store carries most thing you would need.
