A free camping reservation is required and must be displayed. Changes made at DuPuis Equestrian Campground Gate 3 in 2019 The DuPuis Equestrian Campground has been separated into two campgrounds; equestrian and non-equestrian. Anyone wishing to camp in the equestrian portion of the campground must have a minimum of one horse per Special Use License. All other campers may camp in the non-equestrian camping area. Similar to other District campgrounds, the main gate at the DuPuis Equestrian Campground will be locked at all times and require a Special Use License for day use, equestrian camping, and non-equestrian camping. Up to two dogs (pets) are permitted per Special Use License within the campground, otherwise pet rules remain the same within the rest of the area.
Camping is permitted during certain times of the year and only in designated campsites, which are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Camping is permitted on designated campsites, seven days a week, beginning with archery season through general gun season, but only on weekends the rest of the year. Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. During archery season, camping areas L and M and half of B are designated for short-term camping of three days or less. Two primitive campsites for hikers on the Ocean to Lake Trail are located at six and twelve miles.
Camping is allowed continuously starting 8 a.m. the day prior to archery season through the end of general gun season, only on designated campsites. For the remainder of the year when the area is open to public access, camping is allowed only at designated campsites and only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, but campsites may not be left unattended for more than 24 hours. 2. Campsites are available on a first come, first served basis. 3. Each camper shall ensure that their campsite is clean at all times. 4. Campsites L (and half of B during archery season only) shall be designated for short-term camping, with camping limited to no longer than 3 days. 5. Camps may be set up and occupied no earlier than 8 a.m. the day prior to the opening of archery season. Vehicles, campers, tents, other camping equipment (including trailers and accessories), and litter shall be removed no later than 24 hours after the close of the general gun season. 6. Altering, defacing, moving, or tampering with official markings of campsites is prohibited. 7. Only tents, trailers, or self-propelled camping vehicles may be used for camping. 8. Lumber, sheet metal, or other building materials and the erection of any permanent structure is prohibited. 9. No person shall dump raw human waste from any motor vehicle or vessel upon public or private lands or in waters of the state.

Jonathan Dickinson Pinegrove State Park is among the best parks I've ever visited. The bathrooms are spotless, the trails are extensive, and the people are incredibly friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place.

ScoutThis is a wonderful park to go camping in. My family and I typically spend 2 weeks there every summer. The pine scrub forest makes for such an amazing adventure and perfect campsite experience. There are bicycle trails, canoeing/kayaking options, Hobe Sound beach nearby. I absolutely live this place.
GuideThis campground was awesome. We stopped here on our way to the Keys. We have a big Class A and had no reservation. We called and they offer a walk in availability. We got there right before 5:00 when they were about to close. There was a site for us! The staff was super friendly and helpful. We will come back when can explore their amenities. Highly recommend. Great for families.

TravelerJust stayed for the night in between long drives. Got in late and left early so didn’t have a chance to really experience the entirety of the campground. Camp site was clean and very large, included a table and fire pit, easy to back into thanks to the size. Outhouse building doesn’t have any AC so it’s scorching in there, but was relatively clean. Was only there for a few hours but did see some rabbits and frogs hopping around which was fun for the kids.
ScoutThis park offers a multitude of activities for all ages. Kayaking, boating, hiking, and mountain biking are located within the park. The park is only 5 miles from the Jupiter Inlet and lighthouse with many restaurants and beaches nearby.

LegendHobe Sound FL Jonathan Dickinson SP This park has two campgrounds. Pine Grove Campground, has 90 sites, it is located near the ranger station. These large sites have more space between and foliage for privacy. Sites have clothes line, fire pit, picnic table and are all level gravel. Very nice clean bathouses with family room. None of the washers and dryers were working. There's a playground and picnic Pavilion. Some road and train noise. Had good downpour today and had a little lake at back of site but within an hour it disappeared! Great place to stargaze. Saw a great full Wolf Moon.
River Campground is more rustic, it has 52 sites, is about four miles from the park entrance, near the Loxahatchee River. Sites close together, no privacy. The River CG is great if you plan to fish or kayak. Close to boat ramp. Sites are dirt. Also more mosquitoes. There's major utility construction going on next to this camp right now.
Good things- Miles of paved and off road bike and hike trails, great bird watching, star gazing, canoeing, kayaking, fishing. Seasonal horse back rides. Fun and informative boat tour to Trapper Nelson's. There's a great learning center. Amazon delivers to Ranger station. Stores and restaurants a couple miles away.
TravelerThe campsites are well spaced with foliage between. The bath houses are numerous and exceptionally clean. The park has many bike trails, although some require a helmet. There is also a river running through it so kayaking and canoeing is popular. Everything is there to rent as well, including bikes. We spent 6 days there and still only scratched the surface
GuideI did primitive camping... I was unclear on where to go, but did find the area just as it got dark (I was using a pop up tent and was ok).

I was searching for powerline road and figured out I was supposed to simply follow the power line!
Was a pretty place but did not like having to be so near EMF radiation from the powerline I had to hike under for a few miles... I also didn't like the 5G tower next door.
But the good news was weather was perfect!

LegendSite 36. Very long and roomy. 38 ft class A had no problems. Roads wide with no trees blocking. Full hook ups, paved, but no shade. Restrooms are spotless, and have laundry. Plenty of walking and biking trails. Going to the river campground, you pass the railroad. There are plenty of bikers there for the trails.

TravelerThe park is beautiful, must climb Hobe Mountain, the views are stunning. From there you can see both the intracoastal waterway and the Atlantic Ocean in one direction and sand dunes every other direction. Great trails to ride your bike. Clean shower and toilet areas.
TravelerWe stayed for a quick 24 hour trip on our way down to the keys. Kayaking was great and the campsite was perfect and private. There is lots of wildlife present so be sure to secure all food 😬 Would definitely stay again for more than one day as there is so much to do/see!

We visited Coral Cove beach in Jupiter while we were there which was beautiful and the Indian River was so peaceful and amazing at sunset. We ate at Dune Dogs which had amazing food!

Lots to do, horse back riding, boat tours, discovery center, bird watching, off road bike challenge course. We've seen otter, tortoise, birds, eagles so far.Nice sites in two campgrounds. We're in River CG, more shade, a few paved sites but most are dirt/mud. The Pine Grove CG close to entrance, more spacious, not much shade, paved and nice gravel sites. If you get the chance take the river tour. We went on the one that goes to Trapper Nelson's place where you get a ranger guided walk. Totally worth the$25 fee.
