TravelerMy family stayed at the park for a long weekend. Great park, but the vendor contract expired and a new one hasn’t been chosen. Because of this, canoe rentals, firewood, ice, etc. are not available in the park. Thankfully Publix is just up the road. We will be back, but not until the vendor situation is resolved.
RangerOverall a pleasant experience, especially for only my second trip in the RV. My lot was mostly clean, had plenty of space for my truck and 30ft trailer, and had everything I needed. I was expecting a more peaceful trip out in nature, but about 12 people were camping in the lot beside me with their dog off-leash, so there were some moments of frustration with noise and my dog, who is leashed as expected. The observation tower was closed and basically all concessions/tours were as well, but it was still nice to get on some trails.

GuideThis place is so cool. All the sites are wrapped around a pond. Palm trees and all kinds of other shrubbery are throughout the campground. There are a couple of small alligators 🐊 in the pond and some big ole turtles 🐢. The campground host is very nice. They check out your reservation and leave you alone. I say, check it out. It's free. 👍
TravelerWe stayed in Pine Grove loop. Long and wide sites with very easy access for backing and parking. Hookups very convenient and accessible. Sites are divided by vegetation providing a sense of privacy between neighboring sites, which are placed well apart from each other.

Lots of bugs. The “no see um” are terrible. They are little tiny bugs that fly. They are so small the go right through your screen on your door or window. You typically won’t notice them until they bit.
ScoutThe campground is amazing, but due to not having many trees we don’t have shade in the campsites. Just one another have trees, unfortunately. Coming in the summer was a bit tough staying here without an RV with air conditioning. Despite that, everything amazing! Bathrooms super clean, campsites in perfect conditions and so on. Another good thing is that it is close to the city with a huge Publix nearby.
