I did a walk in campsite which you have to carry you stuff a little bit. It was a lot cheaper then getting a normal campsite and more secluded then other campsites. I really enjoyed camping here.
The campground is great and has hot showers which is always great and it was free!!!! The squirrels are very aggressive and will go near food even if you are there so be prepared. The beach is so nice and the only people there are campers so not crowded at all!
Very nice campground with many things close by to do! I recommend going to and walking down to the beach or going on a hike.
I stayed at the campground that was first come first serve there were still a lot of open sites. There are so many things you can do at the state park I highly recommend going here. It's very beautiful!
I loved being here it was so nice the campground is nice the sites are close together but you are right next to the lake! The people that work here are so nice and the volunteers! I went on some very nice hikes and you can rent paddle boards right at the campground for a very affordable price. I definitely recommend going here! However if you are a light sleeper there is a train track near by and you will hear a couple trains.
This campsite has no privacy! However I don't mind very much everyone around was super nice and people gave us free wood when they were leaving! I did like the campground, the bathrooms are very nice and nice place to wash dishes next to bathroom. Also there is a hot spring spot near the campground just a 5 minute walk and a nice river.
It's a very nice campground but there is a lot of people. The bathrooms are clean and there is a room to get rid of waste water for dishes. I really enjoyed my stay. It's nice and close to a lot of hikes so it's very convenient.
There are a ton of activities to do in gunnison the campground is nice. The bathroom does not have flush water but there is water for drinking, but the water was a weird brown color so bring water before you go if you care.
This campground was very nice and convenient to getting to the sand dunes. However we went during peak mosquito season so there was a lot of them. I would definitely return even though a lot of mosquitos!
I stayed here one night the camp ground is nice enough. It has some shade which was nice because it was over 100 degrees. However at night it was the most beautiful stars I have every seen.
