What campers like
Quieter camping sections: At Lake Cachuma Recreation Area, campers appreciate finding secluded spots. "We prefer to stay in the Mohawk Shores campground, which is at lake level. Tips from RVers
Hookup availability: RV services vary significantly between campgrounds. "We have spent many weekends at this resort, they have great amenities. Walking distance to downtown Pismo. You can't beat the price and location. They have full hook-ups," notes Teresa S. about Pismo Coast Village RV Resort.
Site spacing: Consider how close neighboring RVs will be. "Love how close the ocean was, and a short walk downtown. Spaces were a little tight but lots to do," advises William S. about Pismo Coast.
Generator noise: Be aware of generator policies at pet-friendly locations. "Noise wasn't a problem other than generators constantly running," reports Vincent B. about North Beach Campground, where pets are welcome but generator use creates ambient noise throughout the day.
