Beautiful park with lots of extras

Camping area has concrete parking pads with electric and water hook ups. Bath house in the camping area includes showers and laundry. Very clean and well kept.

The park has: A concert walking/ running/ biking path with workout stations located along the path. Two baseball fields and a basketball ball court. A discussion golf course. Three play grounds for children.

Everything is well kept and clean.

    Quiet place to relax.

Wife and I camp here 2 or 3 times a year. We have a popup camper, so we have camped on tent and rv sites. Rangers are top-notch and friendly. Bath houses are clean. They have installed a small playground for smaller children. We camp during the week between holidays, so not many campers there. Very quiet and relaxing. Around October, stink bugs are a big nuisance. The sites are kinda close together. But this is a very nice campground.

    Decent park, poor campground

Some of the park is beautiful and well-kept. The campground, however, is not. While we appreciated the ample shade during our hot July stay, the sites are quite short and were not mowed when we arrived or any time during our four night stay. The last day we were there, part of the campground was finally being mowed, but they stopped before reaching the two loops off of the main one. One site next to ours had a water leak and large puddle. If you have Verizon, there is zero service for miles, making it difficult to research directions or activities. It might be a nice respite for locals, but it does not make for a good base to use when traveling. The dump station has a fixed nozzle and no threaded connection to utilize for flushing or rinsing your tank. It can only be used to rinse the sewer hose.

    A relaxing weekend

Over all it was great. Very quite. There is pretty much no cell service heading up or at the camp. They do offer WiFi. My biggest concern would me that camp site 26 is a little to close for my liking. But if you have like two families that want go together then 26&27 would be a great choice.

    Great little campground near Paragould

This campground was perfect for our little family reunion near Paragould. We booked three sites together and they were close enough that it was easy to visit each other. It was also a very nice little campground with lots of shade and the bathrooms were very clean and had showers. We also enjoyed the little lake and playground for the kids. The only downside were the mosquitoes, but one of us had a screened canopy that went over the picnic table, which worked great. We were very impressed with the staff and the campground and will likely return.

    Loved it here!

Just so beautiful. Trails were well marked but not for faint of heart. Campsites were pretty close together and bathrooms not too great. Little black bugs swarmed on warm nights right a dusk for an hour. There’s an airport nearby and planes were constantly flying over one of the nights. We were the only tent there. Tent pads aren’t clearly marked but plenty of level ground to set up. Lake was gorgeous too, I was literally the only one out there.

No heads up about having no power

They knew they had no power and didn’t give us a heads up before showing up. We paid for FHU which means full hook up. No refund and no options to help us. They just told us to deal with it.

Stayed a couple nights here. Ranger at the office was very friendly and when asked recommended places to go and see in Memphis. Bathrooms are dated. WiFi available at the headquarters office with pw. Site had some debris (old wet rugs).

    Nice place to stay

Beautiful relaxing place. I’m a fan of dispersed camping yet this was still private even for a campground. Nice bathhouses with laundry. Individual campsite trash cans. They provided free wood! Nice flat paved sites with water and electric for only $25

Good Camp ground 20 minutes from Memphis

First time at a KOA, and it was a good experience. Our stay was for 3 nights. Easy check-in and staff were very helpful. They also have a cafe that serves breakfast from Thursday - to Sunday ( due to staffing shortage). Enjoyed Beale Street and of course, toured Elvis's house and complex.

Sites were close together, our pad was part concrete and part gravel, but we were able to level our 5th wheel just fine.

    Nice quiet place and friendly

Beautiful place to camp. Everyone running the park was super nice and accommodating. The only drawback that I can think of was the mosquitos. Shower house/bathroom cleaned and well maintained.

    Very Nice

It's a small camping area but very nice! There's a lake that allows canoeing, walking trail with exercise equipment. huge playground, huge parking areas with pavilions, bathrooms with hot water, water fountains throughput. They have a movie theater type to teach you about the land & heritage with mist that sprays on you to give live effects. $25.per night whether RV, Pull along, or tent camping. Bath house with toilets, showers, hot water. All camping spots have water, electric, sewage, and personal trash cans. Cons- were one area to camp The tenants were very stand off-ish and a bit rude. The folks caring for the property were nice at first then became judgemental, had the law constantly come through plus the park rangers/co-workers would sit and watch our every move, and be very nosey. I felt safe but also felt luke I was walking on eggshells the whole time. Tent camping here is not recommended but acceptable. We were visiting from out of state to get away from a hurricane in our home state and our visit was quite disappointing to say the least as far as what I've mentioned but enjoyed the park.

    What a Gem!!

We LOVED our stay here. Playgrounds and a splash pad our kids loved. Norm, the site host, was SO helpful. We were having battery issues and he helped us diagnose and fix it.

Perfect for a weekend hideout ♥️

We live close and love being able to break away and isolate ourselves from the world. There is no cell reception really at campsites and that just makes it better. Quiet and clean spot for a weekend away.

    Amazing

From the moment we arrived, we had an amazing experience. The staff greeted us and our pups with smiles, cozies, and treats for the dogs. The site is well taken care of. The laundry and camper kitchen were great amenities. The pool was clean and a great way to cool off. They have a Cafe that serves breakfast and dinner. Dinner is delivered to your site. We will definitely be staying here again.

    Love this State park

We love this state park. We frequent it regularly. The sites are all mostly level (front to back and side to side), the facilities are well maintained and the rangers patrol regularly.

This is a very wooded campground, offering lots of privacy. There's a nice playground that my youngest is a big fan of. The campground is also a short drive from Poplar Tree Lake which offers boating and fishing (kayak rentals are available, or you can bring your own); no swimming area though.

Some of our favorite sites are 7, 8, 11, 12, 13, 25, and 26. These are in all in the two smaller loops, though the main loop sites are quite nice as well, they just don't feel quite as secluded.

Also, make sure to check out the Shelby Forest General Store. They sell little bit of everything, including great food if you don't feel like cooking at the campsite!

    Spacious, Quiet, Clean

A lot of space in between sites, concrete pads, grassy and quiet. Bathhouse is being renovated so you have to be self contained. FHU

    Nice Campground

Ample spaces in some campgrounds while some have small area, still larger than most of other camping locations. It can still be better if they can make camp bed with gravel for tent camping

    We Love Crowleys Ridge

Everything about this park is amazing. They recently redid the swimming area and cleaned and refilled with better water. They have paddle boats you can rent from Memorial Day through Labor Day. We have stayed many trips in this park. Site 1 is our favorite. Features pull through with a large area including tent pad and nice gathering area. We glamp camp and we’re able to set up a 16x20 tent, but the tent did go over the size of the pad. All sites have water and electricity, except for a few primitive sites. There is a nice campground and walking area. Also a great hiking trail which isn’t too hard. The park is close to Paragould with a Walmart and a dollar general is a couple miles away. The only site I wouldn’t recommend is site 9. It has a very steep hill and would only be good for very small campers or tent camping.

Off season, nice place to stop over for the night

Near highway, access road is narrow and a little rough. Called to check availability, staff seamed very nice, sent text with directions and check in info. Very reasonable for full hook-up and 50 amp service.

    Bootheel RV Park

No Major Changes from Our Last stay

We called Bootheel a few hours from arrival in early January, and there were plenty of spaces, so we headed in. When we arrived at the campground(CG), there was a sign at the self check-in that there was no water due to the recent heavy rains and flooding. Water was on in the showers and laundry but not the sites. That put us in a bit of a pickle as we found out on the day before departing our home base that our water pump was not pulling water and making a terrible noise. Having been to this CG before, we just figured we'd get a FHU site and deal with the water pump when we reached warmer weather. However, there was no water fill available, and we had very little water in the tank. We could have planned better for this had we been told about the water situation when we called. We drove around to the back row where FHU sites 40- 45 were available. We chose 43, which had the least flooding. As we had just departed from our home base near St. Louis, we didn’t need to dump, and that was a good thing as the sewer might be full due to the flooding. We carry a spare water pump, and during the replacement, we found that the filter part had cracked, so we removed that part, and we were back in business. We had overnighted here several times before with no issues. They did not offer a discount for the inconvenience."

Like a state park but without the state park price

Very nice. Clean restrooms, hot showers, reasonable laundry. Lovely lake with a 2 mile trail that goes around. It has several pavilions and playgrounds. The only downside is lots of looky-loos come through the campground and the sounds from the various playgrounds travel over the lakes and can seem quite loud.

Great location for walking, hiking, biking

Campsites are mostly spacious and hosts are friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed the trails and roads for walking/biking.

Not crowded and pretty quiet. August in Tennessee is hot and muggy!

    One nighter off the interstate

This campground offers monthly rentals but also a place to hook up for a night or two. This is good for a one night rental when passing through. Expect noise from the interstate. This is not a typical “campground” but gets the job done for an overnight stay.
