No heads up about having no power

They knew they had no power and didn’t give us a heads up before showing up. We paid for FHU which means full hook up. No refund and no options to help us. They just told us to deal with it.

Good Camp ground 20 minutes from Memphis

First time at a KOA, and it was a good experience. Our stay was for 3 nights. Easy check-in and staff were very helpful. They also have a cafe that serves breakfast from Thursday - to Sunday ( due to staffing shortage). Enjoyed Beale Street and of course, toured Elvis's house and complex.

Sites were close together, our pad was part concrete and part gravel, but we were able to level our 5th wheel just fine.

    Very welcoming !!

It’s incredibly easy to find right off 55. Easy exit I called reservations were easy to make and when I got there everything was set. I extended my stay and that was incredibly smooth. Very impressed they have breakfast and dinner + they deliver right to ur site! My dog LOVES the dog park ~ the swimming pool looks nice and showers bathrooms are some of the best I’ve seen since Michigan Highly recommend!

Nice typical KOA. Good BBQ sandwiches

This shot up to a 4 because the had great BBQ pork sandwiches.

Typical KOA, nice pool, laundry facility. The Cafe has breakfast and for dinner pulled pork sandwiches or Pizza not bad.

Workers are very nice and do a great job of keeping everything neat and clean.

Nice kids play area and pool. Dog walk area.

Nice big shade trees. Not all sites have shade but most do.

Give it a 4, we will stay here again. Next time I would like to stay lo get to take the shuttle to Graceland.

Sites are fairly level and gravel.

Standard KOA Journey, far from Memphis

Although this is called the Memphis KOA - it is a bit of a hike.  Especially when the bridge (I-40) is out.

This campground is very typical for a KOA Journey.  Right off the interstate, nice pull-throughs, minimal amenities.

We stayed here for a couple of weeks while working in Memphis - good/bad comments below:

    Good

    1. Staff.  Super nice, very helpful.

    2. Ease of access to I-55.

    Bad

    1. Remote (not in a good way). Kind of far from West Memphis, within 10 minutes to Marion, but nothing is convenient.

    2. Not in Memphis.  Per the name, this is really important to note.  Assume it is 30 minutes to where you are going in Memphis.  45 if the bridge is out.

    3. It floods when it storms.  Like 5 inches standing water.  Should probably be fixed.

    Memphis KOA

    Tom Sawyer's is a work in progress; a 1 on a scale of10.

This place is a dump.  The shoreline is littered with all sorts of debris. The roads and sites are filthy and unmaintained. The laundry room equipment is free, but who knows if they are ever cleaned, and the floors are filthy. Right now, March 21st there is an infestation of lady bugs and stink bugs in the laundry room. It seems that no money is spent on the care of this facility. We stayed in the river side of the "park" so have no knowledge of the other sites. The rest room is a single unisex toilet and stand alone plastic shower. The only appeal is the Mississippi River. Owners: spend some money to fix this mess or sell it!

    Memphis KOA

    Just OK

Ok for a night. Easy 15 min drive to downtown Memphis for sightseeing. In a low lying area and it had rained earlier in the week. Campground very wet. Lots of puddles and muck. Should have used the gravel pile at the back of the campground to fill in potholes. Bathhouse clean but in a slight state of disrepair like loose toilets. Amenities included pool, playground, store, cafe, dog park, horseshoes, beanbag, ladder ball, bikes. Staff very nice.

    Shearins RV Park

    Rural Longterm

A park has been at this location since 1955. It was originally a trailer park but has been converted to a RV park. Located in flat farm land a few miles from Blytheville There is no pool or playground. RV’er will find flat gravel sites that can handle most if not all rigs. They have sites with 30 and 50 amp service. You will find rates for daily weekly and monthly. Some mature trees for shade and some full sun sites.

Nice place just outside of Memphis

Located just off the freeway the front sites are a bit noisy. One plus was that it was raining so hard the freeway was stopped so we just went to our site but they offer meals delivered to your site! Great meal!

    Lake Frierson State Park

Great place for a day trip

This is a great fishing hole with a small campground! The sites are nice and have great views of the lake. For those of you with RV’s beware that there is no sewer dump station here. You have to drive to Crowleys Ridge State Park to use their dump station. (10 minute drive).

The drawback for me is that this campground only has vault toilets and no showers.

The campground was empty when we visited and the office was closed, so we didn’t get to go inside and learn more about the area.

Nice park in a convenient spot

Close to Memphis, across the river. It's a great campground. The scenery is not spectacular but that's not their fault. Surprisingly quiet for being right on hwy 40. Place is well taken care of an breakfast was awesome!

    West Memphis KOA

Small but clean. Very friendly staff. There are plenty of trees for shade. Nice pool, bathrooms and rec room. The laundry room is large and air conditioned. There is a dog park, horseshoes and cornhole. They offer daily breakfast and lunch and will deliver site made pizza to your camper. They also have a community garden.Very close to Memphis. The only downside is it has quite a bit of road traffic noise and a strange side road entrance.1

    Memphis KOA

    Small campground along the highway

We stayed here for a few nights while visiting Memphis. It is a small campground right on the highway with a lot of traffic noise. The campsites were a decent size but the mosquitoes were unbearable. Very few people were spending any time outside due to the bugs.

    Lake Frierson State Park

    Peaceful

Lake Frierson State Park is a nice stop off on the way to Jonesboro Arkansas.

Nice trails, water recreation and quiet. The campground is small. 7 sites near one of the boat ramps. Your on the road next to the public access so not much privacy at all! There is also a primitive camping area. I guess one plus is it’s not very crowded and if you have enough relatives you can book the whole site for yourself.
