About five miles down a gravel road off the main highway, Pearce Ferry Campground sits at the western edge of Lake Mead National Recreation Area, roughly two miles from the Colorado River. It's free. Sites on the mountainside provide open sightlines across desert terrain, while the campground itself includes fire rings, grill inserts, and two vault toilets. No water or hookups are available, so campers need to arrive self-sufficient. Meadview, about 11 miles away, is the last reliable stop for gas, food, and supplies before heading out. Pearce Ferry Road Dispersed is a nearby alternative for those who prefer dispersed camping over established sites.
