Rock Bluff Group Site is just a short distance from Parker Canyon Lake in a remote and scenic region of the Coronado National Forest in southeastern Arizona. The site is open to groups of up to 50 people to enjoy camping and picnicking, as well as fishing and boating at the lake.
Campers can enjoy an interpretive trail around the lake that begins a quarter-mile walk from Rock Bluff. Trailside benches are located at some of the best wildlife viewing areas. Bald eagles are regularly sighted during the winter, and osprey are sometimes seen migrating through the area in the fall.For those who like to fish, Parker Canyon Lake offers both cold and warm water species, including stocked rainbow trout and resident bass, sunfish and catfish. Boating is available with a limit of one 10-horsepower motor or less. Day use fee $8/day or $10/week
The group camping area sits at an elevation of 5,400 feet in a small, rocky canyon dotted with oaks and junipers. Animals unique to the southwest, such as coatimundi, javelina and roadrunners, occasionally make appearances around the lake. The Coronado National Forest covers 1.78 million acres of southeastern Arizona and southwestern New Mexico. Elevations range from 3,000 to 10,720 feet in 12 widely scattered mountain ranges, or "sky islands," that rise dramatically from the desert floor, supporting biologically diverse plant communities.
A lakeside developed recreation site, including a boat ramp, fishing pier, general store and boat rentals, is located just a short drive from the group area. Day use fee $8/day or $10/week per vehicle (pay on site with exact amount) or pay online ahead of time at https://www.recreation.gov/sitepass/74388 We also honor all America The Beautiful national passes for day use. Passes must be clearly displayed when in Day Use Areas.

Quiet park, level and clean gravel sites. About 5 minutes from the town of Tombstone. It’s was getting down to freezing temperatures in November briefly over night. You can rent an outdoor fireplace and buy firewood on site too.
ScoutThe place was clean. People were friendly close to attractions and enjoyed our stay very much. Would recommend it. Five star bathrooms were clean.

We called and made reservations to stay here for a few weeks and when we arrived we were turned away because we were young, and have two kids, and have 2 dogs. . . And because our camper is too big at 29 ft all of which they knew before we arrived. So now we are sitting at a gas station trying to figure out where to go. Also, I’m not assuming that was the reason, that’s the actual reason we were turned away.

ScoutThis little piece of I-10 is a wonderful little spot. We arrived close to sunset and found a perfect spot to camp amongst the rocks. The on-site saloon with the chili pepper lights, original mural, and massive bolder behind the bar will make you wonder why this place is not more packed.
10/10 would stay again!

This campground with water and electric was quiet and beautiful. There were horse trails all around and you can bring your horses too. Dog friendly, and the owners were available if needed.

RangerAbout a mile outside of Tombstone. Very clean, large/wide sites, nice pool, dog parks, large clubhouse with TV, shuffleboard, ping pong, etc. Very helpful staff. Lots of snow birds when we were here...we stayed 2 nights.

We stayed at the rock bluff for individual campers though. $20/night. Was a nice area but had no cell service or internet which is super important to us. There are vault toilets near by and each campsite has a fire pit and picnic table. We saw deer and blue birds during our stay. There is a little store at the day use area. They carry a variety of items from fishing gear to essentials you may have forgotten, extra propane bottles, wood, canned goods, etc. you have to hike down to the lake, which is kind of steep and rocky. I saw the hosts checking trash and cleaning up toilet areas regularly.
GuideOur hosts were extremely hospitable and accommodating. They worked around our schedule and made sure we were comfortable. They gave us numerous recommendations for local cuisine and sightseeing. The camp is peaceful and has fantastic views with horses, a fire pit, and hiking trails. We hope to return soon.
GuideThere are a lot of small campsites all grouped together in the middle of the camping area, but me and the guys picked site 18, which has a lot of flat area for several tents, and has a much more relaxed vibe. Campus nestled right against some beautiful granite features, and well covered by evergreen oaks. Easy access to hiking and adventuring in the granite boulder area. There was no drinking water when we were there late September, but there are several spigots around camp. Maybe they turn it on at some point. We really enjoyed this space

GuideThe Triangle T Ranch is a neat experience. It has history and character all around. Even though it's only a quarter mile from the 10, the noise is very minimal.
We showed up while they were hosting a wedding there. We were never greated or shown any hospitality because of that but we're experienced enough to be self sufficient. We originally reserved an electric only spot #1. We quickly realized our spot (as well as #s 2 & 3) were actually the corner of the parking spaces for the wedding guests. A quick text with the camp hosts and we were relocated to a full rv hookup spot. MUCH BETTER all around. If you make a reservation, choose either full rv #3 or #4. These spots back up to a huge boulder and offer wind blocking and shade for your rig or tent. Made the experience perfect.
The missus and I hiked around the horse trails they have and loved the views. The saloon was reserved by the wedding party but we crashed it anyways. The ladies running the saloon were fantastic. Good times.

TravelerWe headed over here early on a Saturday morning and found a dispersed spot without a problem. Tons of spots available and some of the dips might require high clearance but we did fine with our vintage trailer and suburban. The spots are level and shaded (or full sun if you prefer). No water or amenities and hardly any cell service on Verizon but it was awesome. Would definitely recommend!
RangerAwesome stop! Great campground just down hill from old town tombstone! You wont be disappointed, nicely run and kept, everything you need. Lots to see and do in area. Sierra Vista is about 18 miles with excellent shopping. Bisbee is a fun drive through mountains and fun town to browse as well. Tombstone is well worth the visit, go see the Birdcage, well worth the tour of 1881 multiple purpose bar, brothel, casino card games etc. There is a great leather shop in town. G. D'AMBROSE, I highly recommend his leather work, top quality, I got my gun belt holster while in town, custom made to fit. It was Christmas week and he still got it done in record time, great guy, his saddles and other items were remarkable as well. There were lots of restaurants, saloons, shops, stage coach still running in town. Step back in time and enjoy the old west, dont forget to visit boothill for some of tombstone history. We were there for 9 days, but didnt see it all. The campground has a gate at rear corner, you can walk lots of dessert trails, or some brought there 4 wheelers , golf carts, and rode them. Campground had nice laundry, propane, pool, clubhouse, spaces had rail fences between and nice space. We decorated the fence with Christmas lites, many others did as well.

They also rent casitas. Little saloon that serves basic food. Plenty of hiking and horse back riding available. Tame horses roam free on the property. Lots of famous movie set areas to see like 310 to Yuma. Pool and hot tub also on site. Bathrooms and showers available as well. Friendly and affordable.
GuideObviously, you have to be military, but the views are beautiful. The lady that runs it is very friendly and helpful. The spaces are large concrete slabs with shade trees. I would absolutely come back!

LegendMy husband, myself and our 2 small dogs live in Tucson, AZ. We recently acquired a roof top tent and we’ve been trying out various campgrounds across the Southwest.
Dog friendly hiking opportunities from this campground on the Cochise Trail. I recommend arriving during daylight hours. We left after work, and it was harder to navigate the primitive roads back to the campground in the dark. You do have to cross the stream several times to get the the site. When we crossed the water was 3-6” deep and a few crossing are over rocks (not pavement). We had no issues in our F250, but any vehicle with a normal amount of clearance should be fine. We saw several small SUVs/crossovers, small trailers, a dirt bike and a Prius.
It’s a popular place and we were lucky to get the last site available that night. There are also dispersed camp sites (also popular) along the W Hunt Rd loop.
The campground has pit toilets (with 2 stalls each). Each site has a picnic table, a nice fire ring and a tall BBQ grill. The sites are close together. No water, so bring your own.
We will definitely return to the Cochise Stronghold area.
