Beautiful views, nice little campground

Great little spot right on the Cook Inlet. We came for live music and ended up parking the vehicle and camping. $10 to stay the night - I hung up a hammock and my friends put up a tent. Public bathroom less than a block away. Loved it!

Best RV Park

Favorite place we stayed at out of all locations on our trip. Cleanliest, coziest, well-taken care of place. Bathrooms and showers were 10/10. Spots had space, grass, fire pits, full hook up and dump hook up. Staff was so accommodating! Firewood and other amenities available. Only downside is…

Mosquito City

Campground was empty, check in was nice and staff was great. They have free wifi, showers, bathrooms and full hookup. Downsides is there’s no grass it’s just gravel. And the mosquitos were the worst we witnessed in all of Alaska. We couldn’t sit outside and there were 100s in our camper by the time…

Great for families

Really enjoyed our stay here. Lots of options for lake front, pull through, and back in. I recommend making a loop around before choosing a spot. Camp host was very nice. If you have kids bring their bikes!

Noisy parking lot/clean bathrooms

It was okay. The area was clean but you park in a paved parking lot, too close to other campers to use an awning. Area was pretty when you went down to the lake.

Our big downers we’re having to pay for an additional spot to park our truck. Our TT is 26’ which fills the spot, we were told at the…

The view is amazing, when the park is closed

This park fills up quickly and does have electric hook ups. I was very surprised by the smell. After salmon spawning season a number of dead fish wash Up on shore and rot and early in the autumn it is pretty strong. The views really are amazing and it is right down from a public toilet. Be ready to…

Beautiful backdrop

Pretty private and a great location. Tons of opportunities for outdoor activities from hiking, biking, paddling, and ATV on specific days. Lots to love. Prepare for chilly weather any time of year because of the elevation

Campground could is a little love

This is one of the better mat su campgrounds. It does have some great day use parking and 39 campsites. On clear days the lake is beautiful. The trails are nice and well-maintained we also enjoyed the dog park. There are a number of pavilions that can be used but people with reservations to have…

Worst camp ever

No garbage cans (not even a bear proof). Camp host nowhere to be found. It was full packed. This was the 3rd weekend in Aug. The outhouses stank.
