High clearance for some great spots!

Much like the other reviews there are a few easy to get to spots off of FS Rd 660. After turning right onto the FS gravel road you can take a left or right to dispersed camping spots. If you continue straight you end up at a private campground, but plenty of space to turn around. We turned right off of the FS road, there’s revel spots easily assessable via car, we went further down, rock crawling, high clearance required, and found the perfect spot nestled in the trees about 10ft from Lamoille Creek. Spent 4 days there and only had two other veichles attempt to get further down. If you turn left off of FS 660, there are about 4 spots easily assessable, but if you keep going the last two spots (high clearance required) are right next to the creek, one with shade, one not so much

Beautifull sites viewing the lake and falls.

Went up to get out of the heat and was not disappointed! Great hiking, fishing, and kayaking at the lake. Very busy on weekends, somewhat noisy (the sites are pretty close together) not very many sites for larger rvs. No trash receptacle (that we could find)

Terrific stopover along the highway just outside of Wells

In the middle of the Nevada desert along I80, there's a nice RV oasis for a stopover for travelers.  Located just west of Wells, NV, this mom and pop run RV park has nice trees, grass and grounds including a pond.  There's a small store with goodies and wagyu locally raised beef.  We picked up some ribeye, t-bone and new york strip.  Woke up to blueberry muffins on our doorstep baked fresh by the hosts.  Would highly recommend. Highway noise was faint and not bothersome.  Spaces are a little close together, but it doesn't feel crowded.

        Level ground & clean showers

        (Elko KoA)

Came in late for a quick stop on a trip home and needed showers, level ground, a place with quiet hours, and somewhere safe to call home for the night. And it checked those boxes.

I was pleased with how clean the showers were at the end of the day when we came in, and in the morning, they had been bleached.

Left before sunrise so I cannot attest to the cleanliness if the entire campground, but our site was level and tidy.

        Great campground

We stayed here for a night on a road trip east. The campground was nearby the highway yet tucked into the foothills so felt nice and secluded. Bathrooms were clean, campsites well maintained, and the aspen groves were beautiful. Would definitely recommend.

        It is what it is

It is a $15 a night rv park. If you want a $60 a night spot spend the $60. You get hookups a shower and laundry right off the 80. If that is what you want that is what you get.

        Incredible view

I loved everything, the campgrounds are super beautiful, there is a lot of privacy between sites, easy check in. There are not showers even if in the description in the app it says that they have, I’ll recommend to bring your own firewood because they didn’t have any for selling when we went there. I’ll definitely come back!

Easy stop for travel on I-80

Pretty wildflowers, $17 per night, the site said it was all first come first served but some people there said they had reserved in advance. There were still sites available until about 7pm on a Friday night. Pretty close together, not much privacy.

        Just Passing Thru

Was just an over night stop.  Probably the best location in Elko, but.... the sites are very small in width.  when we had our slides out, we were about 4 feet from our next door neighbor..Not bad if it is just overnight.  But what if you were staying for several days?

        Welcome Station RV Park

        Ok, but noisy

Easy enough to reach from the freeway but that also meant it was very noisy, even from our spot further away and closer to the ‘nature’ end of the park. We had a very hard time falling and staying asleep due to large transit trucks flying by and hitting every pot hole and groove all night long. Spots are a little closer together than most would probably prefer but that didn’t change usability. The facilities were clean, functional, and we appreciated that the bathrooms were locked and also well heated. Wi-Fi was decent if you have to work occasionally like I did. Owners were nice enough but atheists/non-religious folks beware; they will be giving you a born-again agenda/proselytizing book upon arrival. This made us uncomfortable and we wished we had known before booking. It was a very short overnight stay so didn’t get to participate in any of the scavenger hunting or other games they have set up.

        Iron Horse RV Resort

        Professionally kept RV Resort

The  Iron Horse RV Resort in Elko, NV is a real gem in the Nevada desert. It's on the main highway parallel to I-80 on the north end of town. You have to keep your eyes open on the right side to catch the entrance signage. The Resort is tucked down a private road. The office folks were very professional.

This RV Resort was extremely well kept and fairly quiet in the evening. Like many RV Resort these days, there are permanent or transient work related residents that are mostly out the perimeter sites.

All sites have concrete patios, flat and level packed gravel pads, picnic tables and full hookups. There are even a series of mini bungalows.

As you can see, Yoshi agrees!

        Beautiful little place!

What a beautiful little place! Green grass all over, and big shady trees. Called in just before closing and they had a site available for the night. When we arrived, they came out to meet us and escorted us to our site: pull through, full hookups. Very friendly. Sites are long and narrow, room for the slide but you’re in your neighbor’s picnic table area. Can hear the freeway noise but it’s fairly constant so it was easy to tune out. Would definitely stay here again.

        Probably the best in Elko

Clean restrooms. The pool is tiny. In spite of appearing to be near the highway, the park is down a hill and there is no noise from it. The trains aren't terrible, but you can't escape them in Elko - expect a whistle sometime during the night. Good spacing between sites with grass. Lot's of full-timers but a number sites for short termers. Most are one-nighters. It is a shame not to stop at the free BLM California Trail museum 10 miles down the road, or Lamoille Canyon which is beautiful.

Coyote Cove — South Fork State Recreation Area

        CRAZY windy, but decent views

All of the camping spots are right on the water, no cover at all (this isn’t really a good tent camping or RTT site). A little awkward as there is a small neighborhood right behind you but the views of the mountains are good.
