RV Park At The Bridge

RV Park At The Bridge sits along Highway 101 in Chinook, Washington, functioning primarily as a full-hookup RV park with three tent sites positioned in the back near a small stream. The privately managed facility charges $45-$65 per night and accepts reservations, making it useful for last-minute stopovers along the coast.

The park's main draw centers on its views of the Astoria-Megler Bridge spanning the Columbia River. Artemis notes "Beautiful views of the Astoria-megler Bridge and Astoria Oregon at night." Highway noise affects all sites, though tent campers benefit from being positioned furthest from the road. The forested area around the tent sites provides some buffer from both traffic and the RV section.

Facilities include clean restrooms, showers, laundry, and full hookups for RVs. Water access requires crossing Highway 101, limiting direct river contact. The location works well as a staging point for Astoria visits without bridge tolls. Sites often fill with fishing vacationers, and the park accommodates late check-ins for travelers needing quick overnight stops.

Campers seeking more secluded options might consider Dismal Nitch Rest stop further east along the river.

Many visitors appreciated the scenic bridge views and quality facilities, with several noting it works well for quick stopovers. Highway noise was a recurring concern among campers.

Not a bad stop off for tent/RTT campers

Good for last minute travel/unplanned stopovers. It’s mainly an RV park but there are 3 great tent spots in the back next to a cute stream/forested area. Pros: Cute views facing inland Tents are the furthest from the highway Far away from the popular spots so not usually full Can check in late/day of Cons: Noisy as the highway is right there No beach access Spendy ($45/night) when we were there.

Nice for a peaceful and convenient overnight

Checked out this place as I was making my way down to the Oregon Coast from Washington State. In contrast to other reviews, I thought it was pretty nice. Traffic is minimal and there’s decent spacing between sites. The bridge view is nice (and it’s a cool bridge!) and easy to jaunt into Astoria for whatever you need; no toll. Yes, you’re on the grid, but this is primarily RVs, vans, and folks who just need a quick place to stop, so no need to be so particular about your nature quotient in my opinion.

Quick stop location

Although it looks like a full time park, the views of river inlet are awesome. Limited water access across the 101 highway. Used as a quick stop over and rest station then pushed onward. Sites were occupied, probably with fishing vacationers.
