    McKay's Bend Recreation Site

    Easy to camp here

This campground is just off Highway 12 in Western Idaho and very convenient. It’s a little close to the road but the traffic seems to be pretty quiet at 8:30 at night. It’s right by the river, which is very nice and it seems like there is good fishing in this river so that may be a plus. I do recommend this campground.

    Starvation Springs NF 46 Site

Nice spot not too far off the road! Easy access

Not far up a nicely paved road, and then onto maybe 0.3-0.4 mile bumpy gravel/rock FS road. Plenty of large open sites with rock fire rings. Be aware of burn bans and/or prescribed burns in the area. This is a great spot for me and my 20 foot RV, with fantastic starlink speeds. Mid 80’s during the day in late July. Love this spot! It’s also great that it isn’t 5 miles down some super washboarded gravel road. Nice drive to it.

    Robinson County Park

Electric only Nice spot Had to work it to get out 35’ Brinkley in the largest spot partly clearance from treas and fence posts limiting back and fill efforts

Fairly pricate on a Saturday. Only a couple spots, but no competition. Drive in was a bit concerning with a 13’4” height. Routed through neighborhood in addition to power line height concerns. I’m am a bit paranoid, but that aside, there were some lower lines that made us use the whole road to pick our line.

Premier RV Resort at Granite Lake

Clean, well-run RV place in a small city

This “RV resort” is within the city of Clarkston and a stone’s throw from a Costco, a WalMart and an Albertson’s. It’s highly manicured and very clean. Staff members are on top of every little thing, friendly and respectful. The waterfront sites overlook Granite Lake, a reservoir on the Snake River. There’s not a whole heck of a lot to do in Clarkston and environs, but it’s a super friendly city and the RV resort is pretty pleasant, featuring a dog park, lots of well-tended lawns, shared propane fire pits and grills and sparkling restrooms.
