Within Wasatch National Forest, Jordan Pines operates as a group-focused campground under US Forest Service management. The facility accommodates RVs up to 25 feet and provides both drive-in and walk-in access, though reviewers note the access road can be rough. Sites are positioned near Big Cottonwood Creek in a forested setting.

The campground sits directly at the Donut Falls trailhead, making it a convenient base for the popular waterfall hike that multiple families complete together. Heather K. notes "No shortage of trees and wildlife" in the area. Cell service reaches the sites, and standard amenities include drinking water, restrooms, and trash collection. The facility allows campfires with available firewood for purchase.

Operating from late May through mid-October, Jordan Pines requires reservations and maintains a no-pets policy. The $156-$370 nightly rate reflects its group camping focus rather than individual site pricing. Reviewers consistently mention wildlife sightings and the proximity to creek access. One visitor warns about private property boundaries beyond Donut Falls, advising hikers to stay within designated areas to avoid trespassing issues.

Campers seeking individual sites might consider Spruces Campground, located just uphill from Jordan Pines.

Visitors often highlighted the clean, shaded sites and family-friendly atmosphere ideal for large groups. Most noted the convenient trailhead access to Donut Falls and peaceful mountain setting close to the city.

Ticketed for trespassing

It is posted beyond The donut falls trailhead as private property, but it's hard to see where that private property might be. A landowner explained that it's all private beyond donut falls. We were cited for trespassing by a group that owns the silver mines further up the canyon and had to pay a hefty fine. Heed my warning and do not hike passed Donut Falls.

A lot of shade

This was a great site for big groups.  A lot to do, and beautiful as well.  No shortage of trees and wildlife!  Would definitely stay here again!  I also love how close it is to the Donut Falls trail!

A big ol honken moose boy

Wildlife 10 minutes away from the city. What could be better? We just slept in the car right outside the campground and went exploring on some hikes above the campground. We found another abandoned mine and just had a blast exploring the Wasatch mountains. I highly recommend this campground and plan on coming back for night getaways.

Great Group Sites

This is a great campground for large groups. Located just below the Spruces campground, this one is ideal for groups like our church group when we hosted a daddy/daughter campout. This campground is also right at the trailhead for Donut falls, a really easy hike for all ages with a really nice waterfall at the end.
