Best RV Parks & Resorts near Providence, UT

Several RV parks and resorts serve the Providence area, offering varying levels of amenities and hookup options. Aspen Grove RV Park in Tremonton features spacious concrete pads with full hookups, including 50-amp electrical service and sewer connections. Sites accommodate big rigs with level parking areas and grassy spaces between sites. "Huge full hookup sites with concrete pads. Nice and quiet despite being near the intersection of I-15 and I-84," noted one visitor. Traveland RV Park in Logan maintains 45 full-hookup sites with both 30 and 50-amp electrical options, while Love's RV Stop in Brigham City provides 43 sites with water, electric, and sewer hookups in a convenient location off the interstate. Sun Outdoors Garden City Utah offers lakeside RV sites with access to Bear Lake.

RV parks in the region operate with varying seasonal schedules, though several remain open year-round, including Aspen Grove and Traveland. Dump stations are available at most facilities, though availability differs by location. Golden Spike RV Park has 38 sites but prohibits campfires and charcoal grills, a restriction mentioned in user reviews. Pet policies vary between properties, with most allowing leashed pets in designated areas. Cellular connectivity tends to be reliable near major highways but may diminish in more remote locations. During peak summer months and fall leaf-viewing seasons, advance reservations are strongly recommended as the limited number of full-hookup sites fill quickly. Some RV parks feature amenities like laundry facilities, showers, and Wi-Fi access, though service quality and bandwidth can fluctuate.

    So clean

Whow…new new new facilities with all the big rigs pull thru power water sewer games dog park ice cream souvenir shops easy on and off the freeway. Close to restaurants. But a sterile walking environment. Concrete pads and all… can’t go wrong here.

    Hill AFB FamCamp

    Cute little spot

Great amenities, dog park, showers, laundry. Stayed here long term a couple times and it’s always a great stay! Close to the park, splash pad, and track. Hosts are pleasant. A little close together but good for being on base.

    Golden Spike RV Park

Great RV Spot Close to the Interstate

This an wonderful medium sized RV campground that is totally locally owned so you know your stay will go towards benefiting local families!  That and given its proximity to the Interstate make it the closest and easiest RV campground to get to near Brigham City/Perry.  It is a perfect stopping point if you're looking at having all the comforts of home before heading into the mountains or into the towns nearby.  Amenities include a full laundry and bathroom in addition to cable TV and Wi-Fi.  They owners are on the property year round and is a very safe place to stay.  There are 38 sites that have 30 and 50 amp hookup options in addition to water.  Definitely visit this RV campground over the nearby KOA as it supports local businesses!!!

If you want to spend time out in nature there is the nearby Bird Refuge, and Great Salt Lake.  To the north and northwest of here there lies the amazing Devils Playground and the namesake of the campground which is the Golden Spike National Historic Site in which the rail lines from the east and west met.  To the east there are numerous canyons to choose from in case the days are too sweltering hot to stay in the valleys

    On the beach!

This campground seems like it is one of the closer campgrounds to the water. It's pet-friendly, has full hookups, picnic tables, and wifi. The nice thing about this campground is it does have a beach as well as water/lake access. Not as many amenities as the KOA (Bear Lake/Marina Side).

The bathhouse was very clean. Did seem less busy than the KOA (Bear Lake/Marina Side).

    Devils Creek RV Park

    Close quarters but friendly faces

This is an older campground, and space near reservoirs is a hot commodity. The RV park host was very friendly and accommodating. Very clean campground with a nice boat dock and plenty of spaces to get down near the reservoir and fish.

Warning - Some of the spaces felt like extremely close quarters especially with slide outs. The picture below shows one of the older full utility locations. Some units may not have much room to slide out without contacting the utility boxes. Some units offer great shade and an awning next to a shared fire pit, shared picnic table. Some units have a really nice shared grass area between trailers. Also several people here are seasonal campers with monthly rates. This can make finding a space a little more challenging. Call ahead and make sure to get reservations so you can get a spot.

Lot size seems inconsistent between spaces as some feel very cramped and some of the high number units without utilities had larger spaces between them, almost appearing as an extra space between two units people were using for pet/kid play areas.

Dogs are to be kept on leashes, but people should consider short leashes/tie lines as it is easy for pets to cross into adjacent units depending upon where they are staked. Make sure to plan ahead for power adapters. Only one 30amp service so if your planning to run AC, plan to be the first in or coordinate with your neighbor.

Birch Campground — Bear Lake State Park

    Not What We Were Expecting

The address we put into our GPS took us to the Marina so we drove further along the lake to Rendezvous Beach area where we checked in at the gate house with no problems. We then proceeded to the Birch campground(CG) FHU site 55, which was a pull through. The CG map shows there are 4 CGs(Willow, Birch, Cottonwood,& Big Creek). Big Creek is the oldest with a lot more shade trees than the other listed CGs. The CGs run in sequence along the south end of the lake. The sites are well spaced with a nice little covered patio with the picnic table. The beach is about 100 yards away and we had a sliver of lake view. We were surprised that dogs are not allowed on the park beaches. There was a fire ban that included charcoal grills(propane okay). We had great water pressure, used 15’ sewer hose, and received about 30 OTA channels. We had a clear shot to the southern sky, but didn’t need/use our satellite. We got 4 bars on Verizon. We where not sure what to expect when we decided to come to Bear Lake SP but we sure were not expecting it to be dog restrictive. Dogs are not allowed by the lake/beach or in day use areas so we were limited to walking them around the campground. We also were not expecting a tourist trap, sunning beach, and crowded with families during the week(Mon- Thur) late in August. There were plenty of CG workers but they did not keep up with the trash laying about. Our fire pit, which we couldn’t use, had trash in it to include a pair of kids underwear. We did enjoy going to Montpelier and visiting the Oregon/California Trail Center and Butch Cassidy Museum. One and done for us.

    Porcupine Campground

    Green and Beautiful

Such a beautiful area for a campground. Our visit was in June and everything was green green green! So much vegetation along the crystal clear creek. There are signs of active beavers with many dams and lodges.

We stayed in the "group" site which can fit two tailers and the three vehicles. We also used the adjacent site 3 for a third trailer. The group site has two picnic tables on a concrete pad and a fire pit with built in benches. The sites are spread nicely especially on the upper loop with reservable sites. It would be difficult to fit large fifth wheel trailers.

One complaint is that the campground website is lacking information and does not match the information at the campsite. There are many sites not on the map that are first come first serve. The prices also don't match what is advertised on the website (by a couple dollars)

Just up the road is Minnetonka cave where you can take a guided 90 minute tour. Worth the visit.

Guide to Providence

RV campgrounds near Providence, Utah offer varying seasonal availability with several operating year-round despite winter snowfall. The Providence area sits at approximately 4,500 feet elevation in northern Utah's Cache Valley, with temperatures ranging from winter lows averaging 12°F to summer highs around 91°F. Weather conditions can change rapidly in this region, particularly during spring and fall when overnight temperatures can drop significantly.

What to do

Hiking trails nearby: Several RV parks provide convenient access to local hiking opportunities. At Traveland RV Park in Logan, campers note the convenient location for outdoor activities. One visitor mentioned, "Lots of hiking spots!" while another highlighted that the park is "just off the highway and tucked in behind a hotel. You're far enough off the road you don't notice the highway noise."

Hot springs relaxation: Camping near thermal springs adds a unique experience to your stay. Belmont Hot Springs RV Park offers access to natural hot springs. A recent visitor shared, "The Hot Springs were beautiful and very warm. The camp host (Wanda) was very friendly and extremely helpful." Another camper noted the surrounding landscape: "Find the scuba Hot Springs pool. Just beyond that is a yellow gate... if you go to the right, it winds back into the most beautiful landscape. Lots of flowers and birds and bugs and wildlife."

Water recreation: For water activities, Sun Outdoors Garden City Utah provides lake access. A visitor commented, "This campground seems like it is one of the closer campgrounds to the water. It's pet-friendly, has full hookups, picnic tables, and wifi. The nice thing about this campground is it does have a beach as well as water/lake access."

What campers like

Clean facilities: Many campers value the cleanliness of RV parks in the Providence area. At Aspen Grove RV Park in Tremonton, a visitor observed, "This place is amazing. Secluded and dark but flat, impeccably clean EVERYTHING!" Another guest praised the "Large clubhouse with all amenities & beautifully decorated! Dog park and nice laundry/shower facilities."

Spacious sites: Several RV parks offer ample room between camping spots. Regarding Aspen Grove RV Park, one camper noted, "The spots were ENORMOUS! And spaced very liberally." Another mentioned, "The sites were long, paved, and level. You do get some noise from the freeway and there isn't much shade because the trees are still young."

Riverside locations: Some campgrounds feature scenic water views. At Riverside RV Resort, a camper appreciated that "River and walking trail just steps away from all sites." Another noted, "It has a walking trail that was so calm and peaceful. The store is so cute. Sites are a good size. Long pull through sites available."

What you should know

Fire restrictions: Fire policies vary significantly between campgrounds. At Golden Spike RV Park, one visitor noted, "It was a great weekend get away, the staff is nice but it was sad to see they don't allow any sort of fire (no charcoal or wood)." This restriction applies to both campfires and charcoal grills.

Noise considerations: Some rv campgrounds near Providence, Utah experience noise from nearby transportation routes. Riverside RV Resort received this feedback: "The interstate is 20 yards from the first row of sites. It was constant traffic noise 24/7. Sometimes it would slow up a little bit so that you could hear the airplanes flying overhead, or the train going by on the track that are 30 yards away as well."

Shade availability: Recently established campgrounds may lack mature trees. A visitor to Aspen Grove described it as "Clean and modern. That is the problem. This is a $75 parking lot. Pavement, cement and no shade. No fire pits. I prefer shade (94°) and more of a camping feel."

Tips for camping with families

Look for group play areas: Campgrounds with central green spaces provide safe play zones. At Cub River Lodge & RV Park, visitors appreciate the family-friendly layout. One camper said it was a "Great spot to unwind. Lots of space for people." The park provides space for children to play away from RVs and roads.

Consider seasonal activities: Timing your visit can enhance family experiences. Winter camping offers unique opportunities at some locations. One visitor to Belmont Hot Springs noted, "We went in the winter and we were able to jump into the hot springs and my family loved. We would be going every winter as it isn't too far from salt lake city."

Check pet policies: Rules regarding pets vary between properties. At Sun Outdoors Garden City Utah, visitors noted the pet-friendly environment, while some campgrounds enforce stricter leash policies. One camper at Golden Spike RV Park observed they "don't enforce a dog on leash policy so right when we got there we had other campers dogs running all over, jumping on our kids."

Tips from RVers

Arrival timing matters: Some RV campgrounds Providence, Utah have flexible arrival policies. At Devils Creek RV Park, a camper shared, "This campground was convenient to come in late and leave early. We called ahead and they were very accommodating. Manager gave us an end site we could pull in, stay hooked up, went to bed, got up early and headed out."

Laundry facility quality: Amenities vary between parks. An Aspen Grove visitor suggested, "One recommendation for this park- convert your washing machines over to take credit cards and/or mobile payment apps. Nobody carries quarters any more!"

Site leveling and length: Most established RV parks feature level sites. Visitors to Aspen Grove noted the "Large sites, lots of space and very clean!" while another mentioned, "The sites are huge and I love that they aren't jammed too close together. It has all the basics you need including a nice clean laundry room."
