Part of BLM Land — Monticello Field Office, this dispersed campground sits 0.4 miles off Highway 162 on a narrow, winding dirt road. The site accommodates large rigs, though maneuvering space proves tight for trailers over 14 feet. A stick and barbed wire gate opens to additional camping areas beyond the main site.
A narrow trail leads down to the San Juan River bank, where campers find an established fire pit and evidence of regular local use. Verizon cell service reaches the area with fair signal strength. The gravel access road requires no special clearance, and scattered sites include both loop and back-in configurations for places to camp around Bluff visitors exploring the region.
