Rough access roads lead to Wiley Flat, an established US Forest Service campground within Ochoco National Forest near Prineville. The open terrain site accommodates RVs up to 24 feet and operates year-round, though the challenging approach may deter some visitors during winter months.
Located near a creek, the campground provides basic facilities managed by the Forest Service. Campers planning extended stays in the region can explore campgrounds around Ochoco National Forest for additional options. Double Cabin sits 1.4 miles southwest for those preferring easier access.
Description
This rustic campground in the Maury Mountains surrounds Wiley Creek, which is a shallow, narrow body of water ending at the small meadow within the perimeter of the camp. It is not uncommon to see horseback riders stopping for a noon break from a local outfitter guide service.
