Double Cabin

Double Cabin is located near Prineville in the Ochoco National Forest and Crooked River National Grassland. The terrain consists of forested areas and open grasslands. Campers can explore nearby attractions such as the Painted Hills and the John Day Fossil Beds, with temperatures ranging from 30°F in winter to 85°F in summer.

Nestled among the big pines near the heart of the Maury Mountains this isolated campground is the perfect get away from busy civilization. Though there are few recreational activities branching directly from the campground, Double Cabin Pond is just a short walk away, and Antelope Flat Reservoir is just a short drive from the campground.

Directions

From Prineville: Travel 32 miles southeast on Highway 380. Turn south onto Forest Service Road 16 and continue approximately 12 miles. Turn north onto Forest Service Road 16-350 and continue to the campground. The campground is located less than one mile from the last junction.
