Devil’s Lake State Recreation Area Campground

We were within the length limit of the pad, however, the approach to the site was really tight. Growth encroached on the approach to the pad, and we found we could not make the turn. I’ve been backing trailers for 20+ years could not fit.

A compliment to the staff, the agent looked for any cancellation but everything was full. This got them the 3 star instead to 1 star rating.

It’s an older park built for smaller trailers, ignore the length of the pad. Think can I make a tight turn?

I had a full service site, water, 30amp, sewer. I also had a walking path directly next to my site and there were so many people using it. Also, there's an animal called a Nutria. Sounds like a supplement but looks like a cross between a beaver and a rat. The ADA shower room left alot to be desired in the form of a bench to sit on...more of a perch. But the water was hot with great pressure.

I happened upon this little campground on the way to Olympic national Park. It was a pleasant surprise to be here. Half of the sites have electric and water. The other half don’t. It’s a nice drive-through. There are RV sites tent, sites, yachts, and a shower house.

Had a great time here secluded treasure in the middle of the city only dislike was having to get a code to the shower room other than that highly recommend

We stayed for 2 nights in Loop C. Campground was tidy, quiet, and fairly private from our neighbors. Camp host left a small bundle of wood for us when we arrived which was nice. Restrooms were clean and well stocked. Not many people on the lake probably due to time of year (mid October), but weather was great.

We've stayed here before and really enjoyed it. This time was another great trip. The campground is in Lincoln City but feels like you're in the woods. There is a huge lake on site and enough trees that you don't feel like Safeway is 10 minutes away. There were a lot of barking dogs in the campgrounds this time, but we were able to ignore them for the most part. Very kid friendly location and the spots are very clean and well managed. The bathroom/shower situation was clean and convenient. We love to get Tie-Dye Pizza and Jays Fish and Chips every time we're in town.

We loved our stay here. Excellent location with the ability to access the lake, walk to the ocean, or just hang out on site. The sites can be a little tight but the use of hedges and trees creates a nice barrier between you and your neighbors. Would visit again.

For being kind of in the middle of town, this campground has all the nature you need. It's in a weird corner, squished between Hwy 101, Devil's Lake, and the ocean. But when you drive out you are right back in the middle of town. It was raining most of the weekend we were there, and our tent was squished in between two yurts (C31) that had big groups camping in them. But they were quiet. Many of the tent sites were closed because they were flooded from all of the recent rain. Our spot was a littles squishy in the table and fire pit area, but we stayed off that.

The bathroom was close, and had both a hot and a cold water knob! So many of these state park places just have the one push button and you get whatever temp comes out. So the showers and bathrooms are clean and roomy. 

I think you could technically have pizza delivered to your campsite here since it is so close to town. But I didn't try it.

This is a small park and the sites are pretty close together.  The campground is very clean and well maintained and full of wildlife.  We saw deer, ducks, geese, etc. all from our fire pit.  Location is super convenient to explore Lincoln city, the beach and the lake. Regatta park is about a mile away and has an awesome playground for kids.

Lovely trees block the sunlight, slightly larger site. Nice campground showers.

We love coming to Devil’s Lake! We can walk to the beach, take our kayaks out for a cruise, and go skiing or toobing on the lake. The restrooms are clean and showers hot. It’s an easy drive over from Portland.

I fell in love with this campground this year.

Lincoln City is a great community, and in the middle of the best of everything on the oregon coast.

This campground is decently spaced out, so you feel like there is privacy. Within a minute, you are intown and at shops and other amenities.

Overall great experience.

Campground was cozy and clean. Sites are packed in pretty close together but there is still a sense of privacy. Our spot was right in front of the bathrooms. We had toddlers with us, so this was actually nice. Bathrooms were spotless!! My only complaint is that there is no way to swim in the lake. We came with this intention of swimming in the lake, but quickly found out the only lake access from the campground is from the boat docks. Still, the ocean and D river are close enough to make it worth while.

Devils Lake campground is an easy drive from Oregon wine country (Newberg/McMinnville). It tends to fill up quickly, so best to book weeks/months in advance. The campground has mooring slips at a small dock on the lake, and also a kayak launch. The lake is lovely for early morning kayaking, paddling, or skiing. The lake itself is only 12-14 feet at the deepest, so water stays relatively warm. It’s an easy walk across the highway and over to the ocean at the D River. The campsites have full hookups, clean restrooms, and hot showers. There were lots of families with kids and dogs! Yet, everyone quiets down quickly at night.

The campground is actually right in town, just a short drive off 101. The traffic can be loud, but it's a pretty nice campground. I had full hook ups with sewer, water and electric. 

The campground hosts were super nice and helpful. The lake can only be accessed from a dock. There is no shoreline in the campground. There's a day use area, but it's clear across on the other side of the lake. Hard to put canoes or kayaks in as there is no parking near the dock. You'd have to drive across to the other side of the lake.

I didn't use the restrooms. Some of the sites were closed due to flooding. Some of the tent sites looked super close to one another. My site was decent.

Stayed here on a bike tour. Typical group site for a hiker/biker group. The flaws were that the site was up a hill from the rest of the campground, and the showers/bathrooms were a fair distance from the campsite (down the hill).

Otherwise, they had hot showers, and the price was right ($5)!

We rented a yurt for the weekend and are so happy that we did! Comfortable, next to the restroom, clean, comfortable beds! Great family oriented park. Moorage docking area, just beautiful.

No lake views here, but there is access down a long point/dock for non motorized(kayaks) boats. The staff was very friendly and helpful and the campground was super clean. Best part was the No Generators rule!!! It is kinda loud as you are really close to the highway and on the edge of a busy town, but if you can get a tent site in the tent only area (towards the back with lots of trees) or a hookup site along the back, it’s not too bad. And you can hear the ocean.

We have been to Devil's Lake many times.  We have tent camped in the summer and stayed in the yurts during winter break.  It's a great campground.

The entrance is right in Lincoln City, so you're close to lots of things to do as well as stores to shop at if you forgot any supplies.

There's both the ocean and the lake nearby so there is plenty of recreation opportunity.

The campground was closed at the height of the pandemic, but it is open for use again and filling up for summer.

Definitely recommend.

We stay here because we can do some Rockhounding on the Lincoln City beaches. Despite being located in a busy Oregon Coast tourist town, it isn’t that noisy. It can flood in the fall and spring months, their rainy seasons. There is usually a camp host or two where you can get help or firewood. The sites aren’t that private although native Rhododendrons and others often divide the sites. What I like the best are the free hot showers and an outside sink to wash your dishes. There are standard (no hookups) and hookup sites with water, wastes water and power. There off season rates available for less cost. We paid $21 for a standard no hookup site the last time we were there in April, 2018.

This is a great campground during the summer months. The ground is typically dry and you are in close proximity to the beach. If you reserve the right campsite, you’ll also be just a stones throw from devils lake.

If you plan on booking a trip in the late Fall/winter, be sure to call ahead of your trip. I’ve been here in the fall when more than half the campsites were flooded or filled with standing water.

We had planned to spend one night here. But after doing laundry next door we decided to keep going. The community is filled with homeless people and there was “unsavory” businesses surrounding this park. I didn’t feel safe!

The sites are covered in water and the lake is unusable with algae. The path to the Ocean is over 101 and about a 15-20 minute walk. It is close to town though. There is some kind of gun range that has started close by and is really loud. The community center is fun

just off the hwy but quite, stayed in the handicap yurt. Was my B-day so we were just walked to the bar.
