Are the showers open today
Very pleasantly surprised by this campground. Has everything you need for pretty cheap ($11 for tent/no hookup) including bathrooms, tables, trash, water and more. Only one other car on a weeknight in April, so very quiet and peaceful. Bathrooms were kind of gross but I expect that’s due to visiting in a shoulder season.
Campsites are very close together. There is no picnic table and the fire grate things were all bent and not usable.
Trails poorly marked
It is beautiful out here but if more people had been out camping I hate to think how loud and crowded it would have been.
Close to water so woke up with a lot of condensation. Very average night
This is definitely a party campground, so if that is your thing you will enjoy. Just not my cup of tea. Sites are nice and there is room, but not private at all. Best sites in Beaver Cove are 25, 26, 27. Site 27 has shade but is hard to back into. Site 26 is the best for views if it’s not hot hot summer. Bathrooms get a no star. 2 vault toilets at campground. 2 showers you have to drive to and they are an odd set up with zero privacy and water spraying all over your towel and clean clothes. Hot water was almost non-existent. While the views are pretty, the lake is way down due to drought. Fishing looks good. I will probably look elsewhere if in this area again.
Great staff, help with hookups and how to use
Edmond Park is one of three separate parks around Arcadia Lake; this one has primitive (no hookups) campsites. This park/campground was the quietest of the three we visited; in fact, we did not see any other campers when we were there on a weekday in early May. Of course, this may not be the case on a weekend in the summer!
The bathroom facilities are sub-par– dated and not very clean. NO showers.
This campground would be nice for families as the playground was located centrally and is easily accessible from all sites.
There is also a primitive group camping area.
There is a swimming beach/day-use area not too far away.
There are no hookups in any of the sites here and many of the driveways were short so it would be better for tents or small RVs/camper vans.
I've been camping at this lake since I was a kid. We always use primitive campsites when we stay. If you can get a spot near the water, that is the best. You may need to get creative when setting up your site. If there are a lot of other campers around, it can be cramped. The general store is only open from memorial day to labor day but there is a Walmart near the lake.
Had a great time here. Spots are relatively spacious and a good amount of shade for most spots. Definitely the nicest Jellystone I’ve been to.
Lakeside spots are spacious and well kept. Be prepared for flying bugs. Lake is great for swimming with shallow flat bottom.
Already reviewed just adding drone pictures
Couldn't ask for a better place to spend a few weeks. I ended up buying a kyack to explore the lake. I was on the primitive site (13 is the best as super shady) the staff are very friendly and the whole place is well looked after. Didnt want to leave and absolutely would love to stay here again!
My RV spot is so unlevel it's almost unusable. Front to back there is 2 feet in elevation difference and a foot from side to side.
The power pedestal, from the 120v 20amp receptacle, is putting out 134v. The neighboring spot's pedestal is putting out 103v.
The bathroom near the campground was closed due to a water leak and a sign on the door said to use the restrooms near the beach. They were reasonably clean but not too private. There was nowhere to change except in the shower with its cheap curtain.
Grass is very long in some areas, needs to be mowed to help with the amount of bugs.
Each campsite has a fire ring, picnic table, and charcoal grill which is nice.
We reserve two sites side by side in the beaver cove campground. The sites are on a slight decline but pull through and we were able to make them level with our blocks. The sides have enough room for the grandkids to roam around it besides for electric and water only but offered a view of the lake and we're close by a swim area. The trees at the sides provided adequate shade for the afternoon sun and the campground offered boat ramps couple of swim areas and on-site store for gas and supplies including and after hours vending machine with propane tanks and charcoal and s'mores supplies. The dump station provided slots for three RVs at one time and well thought out. The crap ground offers hiking bicycle and horse trails that cover a large area. Wildlife was abundant with plenty of deer and Canadian geese and squirrels. The campgrounds offer some annual sites for long-term visits but there is a waiting list to be on that.
Stopped over on our way from Texas to Missouri. Needed electricity since it was 98 outside with 60% humidity. This place is fairly small and looks like used mostly by locals. Lots of teens running around and swimming in the afternoon and evening but they cleared out around dark and it was really quiet. Electricity and water worked well. Ran the AC all night. It has bathrooms and showers but we didn't use them. Boat ramp so some early morning traffic. The road coming in is paved but rough in some areas. Concrete pads at most sites so pretty level. Driveways at some sites are washed out. Lots of sites to choose from on a Monday night. Good cell service with Verizon. Self pay station. We paid $15 with senior citizen discount.
Away from the hustle and bustle of town it’s quiet and remote. That’s about it though.. there’s a couple of sites for camping all entirely too close to each other. The parking lot is bigger than the grass areas you have to work with. It’s a great spot to fish though catfish largemouth and crappie being the usuals. Great place to bring a boat you’ll need it to see most of the lake. There are much better places within 30 minutes of here.
Get there at the right time which is checkout time. It doesn’t matter if the site is empty check it’s probably paid for. With that said if you manage to get a spot it’s going to be a nice stay. Huge spots close to the water and lots of wildlife it’s hard to believe the city isn’t far away.
Visit was over Christmas 4 days. Easy to maneuver. Very level sites. Everything worked great. Restrooms and showers spotless. Small store with pizza. $38.00 per nite.
Nice easy stop. Friendly staff. cheap Electric and shared water. Flush toilets. No showers
We just stayed for one night, it was super quiet and calm. The campsites were minimal but had lots of space and were right on the lake. We had a beautiful sunset too
We couldn’t find a place to pay… but we will check in the morning
My son-in-law, his family of four children and his wife and to three other couples with their children were out at Keystone Lake on Saturday August 28th. My son in law passed away due to drowning at Jellystone Park that Saturday. The lifeguards didn't know what to do and they had a hard time getting back to shore. The ambulance took 40 minutes to get there by the time they got to the hospital they tried to revive him but he passed away. The lifeguard should be more experienced in these matters
Beautiful but crowded, place where a lot of young people like to party
Very nice close to Oklahoma City. Reasonable rate.
While the park is set on a lake in a beautiful setting, the bathroom & shower facilities needed to be cleaned better or more often. The beach was nice. Very relaxing.
We spent four nights here in the heat of the summer. The lake has a great swimming beach area - this seems to be a fishing lake, only a few jet skis were out besides fishing boats. Sandy bottom lake near swim beach. The sites are well shaded, but very narrow. The bathrooms left something to be desired…but they’re adequate if you’ve got to go. We visited some nearby towns, drove on Route 66 and spent a day in Tulsa. Other than that - the “beach” was quiet and enjoyable!
All in all it was great. Shaded spot fire pit, leftover firewood, clean, electricity, and plenty of room. However the red ant hills made it difficult to find a spot for our tent and it was difficult to get a spot in general with their first come first serve rules.
We stayed the weekend and had a great time, there was plenty of things for the kids to do and enough space at our campsite that we didn’t feel crowded in.
