Family activities: Outpost Campground & RV Park focuses on family experiences. "The kids can either swim up at the lake (with multiple water slides and a huge floating dock with diving board), the little kids can have fun in the splash pad right at the beach, go carts, rock wall climbing, basketball, arcade and so much more," explains Kristi J.
Water features: Many sites include water access. "We stayed on the creek witch has water and electric but they will empty your tanks for you if you stay longer than 3 nights," explains Rebecca F. about Lazy Village Campground.

Kid-friendly facilities: The Landing at Bear Creek RV Park includes "Splash pad, pavilion, playground, Gaga pit, and dog park are a few of the great amenities. They do activities for the kids every weekend and also have bands! It's a fun place," according to Stevie T.
Advance booking requirements: For popular family weekends, reserve early. "We pulled into the Outpost late evening, and easily found our reservations, clearly detailed map, and access codes," explains Jason G.
Tips from RVers
Hookup distance preparation: At Carter Caves, "Some of the sites were around 50 ft from the electric hook up. Thankfully we were able to switch spots instead of renting an extension cord," reports autumn L.
Terrain considerations: The Landing at Bear Creek has challenging ground conditions. "The ground is all sand. So while if it rains you won't get muddy, but the sand is a pain and gets everywhere," warns Elana C.
Site verification: Always confirm site details before arrival. "We were told that the site we'd been assigned was room enough for 52'. Our RV is only 34' so that would be more than enough. We got there and it was maybe 20-24" in length," reports a Shawnee camper.
Accessibility features: Sheltowee RV Park & Cabins provides accessible options. "The campground is very well maintained. It's quite and tucked away. Nature trails, ponds for relaxing and watching the wildlife or fishing," notes Angelia C.
